One thing I would love to see is the COG interludes replaced with melodies like Final Masquerade or Nobody Can Save Me, it would be the perfect way to sneak all the albums into the show

Add in a bar of the Krwlng strings and change COG to have the remix outro and we’ve got all the albums represented

Also I think it’s funny how many more times Mike has done the 2nd verse of UIB over the first, he must really like it

Also There They Go feels like it’s shown up a lot, but maybe I’m just thinking that bc I really loved the 2008 intros for points

I have a bittersweet feeling about this.. 0 mention of Chester in the FZ booklet was weird.

Not mentioning Chester at every show atleast for me its fine, they pay tribute to him in certain ways like playing some Chester's vocals during some songs.

the real deal will happen when the coincidence of having a show in his birthday or the day he passed away if they dont mention him i dont know if i could still be a fan of this band, atleast for his birthday i would understand if they dont mentiona anything on the day he passed away.

Theres a big coincidence which i dont think that it is a coincidence the FZ tour had a break on march which seems a bit odd and they dont have any show on july 20 2025.

To me, this only happens for legal reasons. It doesn't make sense for them to 'forget' Chester throughout the entire tour. I could be wrong, but I think the only time any member mentioned Chester's name during the shows was when Mike did at the first concert.

What a stupid set-up with the fans behind the stage? Rip.

I've pointed this out a few times in the chatbox. It's the same setup they used in Japan and it's most likely an Austin-only thing because the show sold really well and they opened up those sections about a month before the show to give more people a chance to see LP. That's not going to happen with the rest of the US shows of the first leg because those shows didn't sell as well in comparison or the arena do not allow such setup (e.g. Baltimore where no sections on one end even exist)

But yea, it is neither fish nor fowl compared to the classic 360° set up.

Actually was pretty cool. They sold it as endstage then the show sold out, then they opened seats behind the stage a few weeks before the show because their production allows it. Those were discounted tickets of course. But the band played to them quite a bit - they were back there a good amount of the show. I'd absolutely do that if I had no other way into a show. They can't do 2 nights in Austin so it made sense to do this.

I really like the endstage.

Anyway, let's talk Austin. This city has one of the best food and drink selections around and is just easily one of the top USA cities to visit. The From Zero Fest events before the show during the week were really cool and they played From Zero Deluxe Edition multiple times. I got a custom From Zero Fest LP hat with LPLive embroidered on the side with the state of Texas. Where else can you do that at an LP event? lol

@LPPanther, Stefano, and @Numbrocker hung out for days in Austin and they were so much fun.

Show day: LPU Early Entry was a massive queue and even with that, their team nailed it and got everyone in easily and quickly. Talked with Lorenzo a bit and it was great to catch up. When I walked onto the floor before the band came out, there were still only 2-3 rows of people so you can get VERY close at the show if you really want to. I actually recommend getting a bit further back because of the sound being better and you can see the production. I was too close to see the screens very good so I will back up at the next few shows.

The pits were awesome and what a passionate crowd. In Texas you get just some of the best USA crowds for LP, I think the 25-30% of the crowd being Hispanic has a big influence on the intensity of the crowd. One thing I noticed is it seems people like us are in a huge minority now, more than ever and by that I mean that every single person I talked to that I DIDN'T know at the show had never seen LP before. Someone from Spain was next to us in the crowd. Someone else flew from Utah. People were there from all over and had never seen the band. It was pretty cool.

The crowd was intense and fucking rocked where I was on the floor (dead center a few rows back) - the surging and pits were awesome. And it was LOUD, people sang everything. I saw Arlington and now Austin and I can't say how awesome it is to see LP in Texas.

The show itself! Holy shit Somewhere I Belong into an explosive Lying From You is an amazing start. What is this, 2003? That's one of the best Lying From Yous I've seen with Mike's swagger on the verses and then he blew the fuck up on the bridge - watch the video. Badass as hell and Phoenix and Joe were jamming huge. This is what I meant by my comment that the "new" setlist needs another rock song at the start and they delivered with Lying From You. AWESOME LIVE SONG and they need to play it as much as they can! Seriously go watch LFY from this show, you'll love it. And Somewhere I Belong opening is just too good.

The set was solid overall, not many comments otherwise. Two Faced live is a monster and the band has big energy on it. The crowd SURPRISINGLY was the craziest on: Two Faced, BURN IT DOWN (?!? What is this? lol), Casualty, One Step Closer, Faint, A Place for My Head, and Heavy Is the Crown. Aka, people love love love the new stuff. Until It Breaks was cool, the Enjoy the Silence intro on Overflow was cool.

It was a shame that Good Things Go got cut but it'll be in another set. Up From The Bottom sounds really good and I am glad they played it. Due to Mike's comments earlier in the show about "new songS, we have NEW NEW songS and we'll get to those later" or something, I thought they'd for sure play Unshatter. But no big loss there. Overflow rocked.

Just really love Somewhere I Belong, Lying From You, Faint, In the End in there. Would love From the Inside and Breaking the Habit.... Meteora bias showing, much?

My only real complaints are Alex still REALLY bothers me on some of the older songs with how the guitar sounds but there's nothing I can do about that so I'll have to get over it. He is completely off on the Papercut rhythm... stuff like that. And Emily lets the crowd sing a LOT - I hope she will do less of that over time. Overall the band sounds good and I'm glad they are out there. More shows soon. GREAT CROWD (don't let a video fool you - I was right in the middle of it and it was a complete blast... intense fans). Please return to Austin some day... amazing venue and despite the bullshit you see online, the show was PACKED, you couldn't move a muscle in there and they sold that thing the hell out. Awesome.

The setlist overall was pretty good. I'm kinda sad that Good Things Go is already on rotation after being played so few times. 😢I really don't wanna miss it and I can only make it to two shows in the tour.

Up from the Botton was definitively gonna be there, but Where'd you go was definitively a surprise. I wonder if Mike will keep sneaking sneaking his solo stuff on the sets or if he'll keep it to the biggest hits outside of LP (so pretty much these two).

So good to see you and @Numbrockerand to meet Stefano! From Zero Fest was so cool, really enjoyed chatting with you guys as well as Adam, Lorenzo, and Fiore. Really hope they keep doing fan events like these in the future. And the show was great as usual! First LP show ever for me not being on the floor, but it was because I had my 9 year old son with me! He had a blast but did get tired about halfway through so I definitely made the right call with the seats haha. His favorite song is Castle of Glass so I was so stoked for him when we got the COG version of the set. I was excited to hear APFMH again, my favorite song. Debut of UFTB was excellent, as was my first time seeing Two Faced live. All in all, an amazing weekend of friends old and new, and another great LP show for the history books! I'm almost at double digits finally lmao, this was my 9th LP show.

@KeysToTheLinkinPark @LPLStaff

Thanks for the elaboration on that. Nice compromise, even though I think they are shitty seats, a lot of people got a chance to see the band because of them. As long as it was a discounted price, all good.

Also @LPLStaff

A couple days ago I was thinking whether you would get annoyed by Alex again. Seems like you two won't become friends anytime soon :D

Pretty awesome review I was watching some streams and I would love to go back to another show its a wonderful experience.

Hey man what happened with the sound volume? was it louder?

Yeah i completly hated that thing about Emily not singing a lot of parts, its just too much, she doesnt know how to handle that its pretty unbalanced.. atleast for me ... someone who HATES when a fan sings onstage, to have more moments with the crowd singing everything and the crowd being louder than the actual band atleast for me that kills my vibe.

Yeah, the perspective is unique, that's for sure. I guess it's the same for everything: As long as people buy these tickets, they will be supplied. As long as the people are happy, it's... a thing.

Check out Joe's vinyls. That angle is awesome.

He had the white and black zoetrope design from Papercuts for his custom vinyls with samples. Now it looks like he has the magenta From Zero deluxe edition design for them.

man i want to go to an LP concert and have seats there

comment from a guy who was on that spot:

''sound was great! They setup speakers and a screen to face us! So we didn’t miss out on much''

Yeah it looks like LP did well with this setup and knew what to do since Tokyo had it. The vantage point is fucking cool. Too bad that's probably the only show it happens at in the USA.

Emily's guitar on Up From the Bottom: "Our friends at Fender built this guitar for Emily. It's a Candy Apple Red American Vintage II 1965 Stratocaster with a Sub-Sonic Baritone neck."

Didn't he have that last year as well though? I distinctly remember seeing it during some of the proshot videos the band dropped.

Heres a pic from the Good Things Go live video. You can see one platter is a Blue FZ vinyl look alike and the other is a Papercut Zoetrope lookalike.

Granted this video was from earlier THIS year, but I did see LP in 2024 and Joe did use the Papercut one then for sure

Austin looks like it's the magenta/purple new one for FZ Deluxe, right? Or am I wrong?

I noticed the Papercuts zoetrope lookalike but not the blue one.

Hm? Can you point to specific parts? I would say the only difference between Brad and Alex on Papercut (and APFMH) is that he palm mutes more than Brad.

Anyway, Alex is objectively a way tighter player than Brad was in his later years. Go watch the Birmingham 2017 show on YouTube, Brad is out of time large parts of the show. Seemed he cared less and less (he was a lot more in the pocket in the early years).

If there's anything I'm having to get used to, it's Colin's more free approach to the drum parts. I think I appreciate Rob's playing more and more for LP, because he was so tight and true to the underlying programmed drums - giving LP more of that HipHop inspired feel to the rhythm section. Colin is more of a typical rock player imo

Definitely having the same vibe of Colin being more of a typical rock drummer. He does shine on some of the new songs (Casualty and IGYEIH) though. But I think his biggest contribution is largely on the production side of things.

Curious if they'll be able to merge Colin driven rock approach and more hip-hop leaning beats in the future. I'm sure there would be a lot to explore there, if they're willing to challenge themselves in that way.

Mark has been pointing out the flaws in Alex's playing (at least how he perceives them) for quite some time now. I haven't seen them live, so some of the points he made might be more audible then. But I also checked different recordings here and there and can't agree on that basis. Also, it has become a running gag sort of thing because Mark is usually a super chill dude about everything LP related, but his criticism of Alex has turned a bit comedical at this point.

I agree with you, though, that Brad (aside from his way of playing and thus "sounding" on stage) was notorious for being sloppy since forever. Overall, Alex seems much more on point from the small sample size I checked.
