Based on what Mike said on discord, I wonder what everyone's story is.

For those who don't know, he said Joe asked everyone to think of a "place" they thought of when listening to the song.

What was the full quote? I've been trying to understand what the callbacks to TEM and Two Faced mvs mean here

There isn't a meaning behind every little shot, lol.

Sometimes things like these are just fun little callbacks.

Mike was a hole where he was trying to escape with a rope alone.

Sometimes writers block, or creative challenges you feel like your stuck and can't do things alone, maybe waiting for the band to assist getting out of the hole.

 

Emily was she was a poser being charged at by riot police.

Maybe she seems judged and attacked but her open arms she's like "bring it on"

 

Joe was on a drip unconscious on a sofa (Life Support?)

To be honest, this one doesn't seem clear to me.

 

Brad was a conference room

Brad's role in the band is business so this makes sense

 

Phoenix was a cave and seemed like a houdini situation, tied up in straight jacket, out in a box and then raised by chains that are padlocked.

Not sure on this one either

 

Colin was in solitary confinement prison scenario, but was studying a book.

Again...no idea lol

Colin is the idea that "reading and immersing into worlds so my mind allows me to escape any prison"
