You have Brittain, Shinoda and Delson as producers.

 

You can add Justin Meldal-Johnsen too as external producer. (he produced Paramore's self-titled, worked with NIN, M83, etc)

Yes, it got that pop-punk/electro vibe from their ‘amo’ era. Some elements sound similar to tracks like ‘medicine’ or ‘mother tongue’.

don't know why they are hell bent on keeping songs just about in and around the 3 minute mark. both the intro and outro should be longer.

Gave it a couple more spins, but I guess I'll stop because the sound quality is really not ideal and not doing the song justice.

 

But I really dig the track a lot, can't wait to hear it in proper quality. And I agree, some parts remind me of BMTH. Especially the 2nd part of the bridge.

 

LP is  adding lots of bangers to their catalog during this era. This is good for the live shows

I think we can presume that the song will be having the music video and that's why it is a single. We also don't know if the circulating artwork is an album artwork.

interesting take. if this gonna be BIG single, having a music video is the logical thing to do. maybe they did a MV shoot during their recent shows.

 

ps: this song really sounds like "Asbestos" from LPU12, the fast paced song.

Mike's bridge is awesome. Overall the song is great, I feel like I personally enjoy it more than CTB, but too early to compare to anything else on FZ. I can see that it doesn't really add anything to FZ that's not already there, which makes me think this will just a b-side on a deluxe album rather than a double album. If there's another 9ish tracks coming on a second album, I hope at least some get weirder and are on the longer side

it would be weird to have a song that its a bside become a single lol, i still believe that they need to release GTG as the next single and for the final one they can go all out with IGYEIH or Casualty.

Up from the bottom being the next single means that there's no more single coming off From Zero. Years ago releasing a single 8-10 months (or even later) after the release of the album was standard practice for LP or any other successful artist. But now is very uncommon.

This song has all it takes to be a hit.

 

I think it'll have it all : single release and video. In my view, it'll be treated less like a b-side, more like a promotional single while on tour. Definitely a continuation of the From Zero cycle , an extension of it, while keeping it fresh.

 

Those singles at regular intervals is how the industry mostly works nowadays.

It's a big time single. It sounds nothing like a b-side or even just an album track (one of those songs that make an album great but can't obv be singles, like nobody's listening, a line in the sand or the messenger). It sounds like a new divide kind of song

Yeah definitly!

 

This is as "HYPE big single" as it gets. It can already be heard now, but once we'll get it in full HD (and I guess with a video), this will turn into an entirely new beast.

I agree with this, I'd just say though that just because it has potential and gets big marketing doesn't mean it's not a "B-side" in the sense that it was a discarded song from the final FZ tracklist. I feel like this could've still been written during FZ and not made the album the same way Lost was with Meteora. But we'll find out later I guess

Most likely it was started during the FZ sessions, maybe completed after it though. 

 

Knowing the band wanted to keep FZ very short on purpose, they probably kept many of the other tracks with the intent of making them shine later on. In that sense, I feel this track and upcoming others may fit a bit less the traditional b-side definition ("leftover from the sessions"), and have more of a "this is the next big thing" quality.
