aaaaaaA Posted yesterday at 04:37 AM Posted yesterday at 04:37 AM (edited) For some reason, I consider this song one of the least favorite of the album. I'm happy for y'all liking it, but I feel that those high pitch verses made me feel that way. I'm hoping for "Casualty". Edited yesterday at 04:38 AM by aaaaaaA Quote
Trumtram Posted yesterday at 11:10 AM Posted yesterday at 11:10 AM (edited) Correct me if I'm wrong, but there was no other song in LP's discography, where they changed the pitch for their live performance. At least I can't recall any cases from the first three albums, but I'm not an expert. "The Messenger" is most certainly one of these cases, even though the song itself was never meant to be played live like on the studio version, it's a special thing. I'm just confused on why they would record a song for their comeback album (intending to play it live), only to not being able to actually sing it? What's the point? @JZLP common practice? Nah. Singer's get pitch corrected in studio versions, but usually a song gets performed live in the way the studio version is. I mean, it's all good, the majority seems to be happy with it. I found the official live version to be a bit flat because of the change in pitch/tone/whatever. Edited yesterday at 11:10 AM by Trumtram Quote

It's very possible they tried rehearsing it in the studio version's key and realized it was too difficult to consistently perform live that way. While bands tend to mostly stick with the original key of songs when performing them live, there are plenty of songs from plenty of bands that have only ever been performed live in a different key for one reason or another. LPLStaff Posted 21 hours ago Author Posted 21 hours ago I think it's just as simple as that. We were spoiled with Chester for so long - he was truly iconic. Quote

Are we not getting any more? have they ever made music videos for any non-single? id guess on the ATS but i cant remember tbh i feel like the two songs that could have MVs would either be Good Things Go (a fan favorite) or maybe Casualty (first non single to be played live) Quote

We could either be watching Forgotten at RAR 01 on repeat or listening to brand new awesome LP songs that have only be played live like 4 times, but are down a key or a touch off the album version. Or both. I know which side I would vote for. Quote
