RogueSoul Posted Monday at 04:35 AM Posted Monday at 04:35 AM The From Zero World Tour is officially underway, and it continues February 3, 2025 in Zapopan, Mexico! Linkin Park are back on the road, starting off their busiest year of touring in over a decade in the capital city of Mexico. The first stop of the tour in Mexico City brought a huge start to the tour, complete with familiar goodies and new surprises. The band performed a new version of Set A (Set A4), which is the setlist that features 'Castle Of Glass' lyrics over the interludes such as Inception Intro and Resolution Intro. A number of changes were made, especially structurally: songs like 'Two Faced' and 'Over Each Other' saw their spots switched around in the set, the latter of the two being moved up significantly further than in 2024, in the slot after 'Burn It Down.' 'Two Faced' was performed before the solo portion of the show. Last year, the rotation song in this set was 'Lost In The Echo' - in 2025, that slot in Set A now begins with the classic 'A Place For My Head,' featuring in the encore after 'Papercut.' The biggest surprises of the night were the additions to the set, which all happened almost consecutively. The first was the debut of a brand new version of 'Lost,' a "hybrid" version that started off with the piano verse and chorus we have become familiar with last year before launching into the studio version of the song, starting with the heavy intro before launching into the second verse of the song. This marks the first time the entirety of the song was performed, and the first time the song has been performed with the full band. The band also performed the song in its original key rather than the different key, presumably because the song doesn't serve as a transition into 'Breaking The Habit' anymore. Coming right out of this bombshell was the live debut of 'Good Things Go,' sung at a lower key to make it easier to sing for Mike and Emily. This unexpected fan-favorite was certain to get its debut this year, and we knew it was coming soon based off rehearsal photos the band shared in January. What we didn't expect, however, was another live debut! Right out of the Kintsugi Transition came the live debut of 'Overflow,' meaning two of the most-requested songs from the new record have made it to the live show. One more From Zero moment came during the extended bridge of 'Bleed It Out,' where Mike sang the bridge of 'Cut The Bridge' over it. Really feels like he had us specifically in mind when he thought that one up! The live debut of 'Good Things Go' live in Mexico City, Mexico on January 31, 2025. With all the surprises at the first show, it leaves us wondering what the band will bring to fans in Zapopan! The band has never performed in Guadalajara, so this show will be a first for the area. The band has visited Mexico on three tours in the past: in 2002 opening for Korn at the finale of the Hybrid Theory World Tour, in 2012 for their first headlining shows in the country on the Living Things World Tour, in 2015 for a quick two shows on The Hunting Party World Tour. This leaves room for a whole lot of history to go down at this show. One thing to note about the Mexico City set is that many of the rotating spots from last year has now been replaced by new songs that'll presumably be sticking around. The setlist is lacking the rotations of 'Points Of Authority' and 'Lying From You,' as well as 'My December' and 'Friendly Fire.' 'Breaking The Habit' and 'Leave Out All The Rest' have also been dropped in favor of the new songs. The first pairing could be in a new rotation with 'Crawling' in a sort of "old classic" rotation early in the set, while it seems more uncertain for the softer numbers. Three variations (which were then varied themselves) of the set were played in the short 2024 world tour, with over ten songs being played irregularly throughout the tour. This includes 'Keys To The Kingdom' and a one-off 'All For Nothing' from The Hunting Party, which currently has no representation in the set, as well as 'Given Up' and 'Lost In The Echo.' The rotation slots seem to have changed around now that 'A Place For My Head' features in Set A - will 'Lost In The Echo' and 'Keys To The Kingdom' return in Set B and Set C, or will different songs take their place? Songs like 'From The Inside' and 'Runaway' were floated by the band last year, so we'll have our eyes locked on that part of the set especially during our coverage for this show. Do you expect any more surprises to happen between the next few shows? The live debut of 'Overflow' live in Mexico City, Mexico on January 31, 2025. With 7.5 out of 10 full songs on the new record played, we now have a full 'Cut The Bridge,' 'IGYEIH,' and 'Stained' yet to appear live. Pretty good for the first show of the full world tour! AFI will once again be opening the show, and that's reason to celebrate as they really brought the fire in Mexico City! Opening with classic 'Girl's Not Grey,' the band spent no time getting right into the jams for the night. The band largely stuck to the old classics, such as 'Love Like Winter' and 'Paper Airplanes (Makeshift Wings),' but did pull 'The Missing Man' from 2018's The Missing Man EP and a few selections from 2013's Burials such as '17 Crimes.' The show closed out with an epic finale of 'Miss Murder,' perhaps the band's most iconic song. Having toured with them previously in 2014 on the Carnivores Tour, AFI are no stranger to opening a Linkin Park show up the right way, and we're sure you'll be blown away in Zapopan by them, too! The full band live debut of the new "hybrid" version of 'Lost' in Mexico City, Mexico on January 31, 2025. What surprises are in store for Guadalajara? Who's heading to the show? Weatherman Rogue Soul reporting a beautiful sunny and hot day in Guadalajara for the show, so dress lightly, stay hydrated, and get ready to rock! The band's Mexican Leg of the tour wraps up with one more show in Monterrey on February 5 before they fly to Asia for two shows in Japan and one in Indonesia. The band will likely take the stage around 9:00pm, with doors at 5:00pm and AFI at 7:45pm. We'll have you covered on the show's setlist and all the surprises the band may throw at us, so be sure to sign-up to the forums and follow us (Twitter/X, Instagram, and Facebook)! Quote
Cesar656 Posted Monday at 09:33 AM Posted Monday at 09:33 AM Great pre show post as usual! Lets see if theres more surprises today Quote
javignacio Posted Monday at 12:37 PM Posted Monday at 12:37 PM Another great preshow post. As for the possible setlist, I said it then and I say it now, I don't like they don't play THP songs. I don't see many surprises but it's going to be a different setlist by 1 or 2 songs. My bet's the encore (they will rotate APFMH), and in the ACT 1 (don't want it but it's the only possible option) Crawling. I would say SIB if it wasn't the opening song. Quote
Luki98 Posted Monday at 02:26 PM Posted Monday at 02:26 PM I hope Good Things Go, the full version of Lost and Overflow are not on rotation and will always be played. A return of From The Inside and With You or Runaway would be nice. One of these two songs could be played as the original ones, on a seven-string guitar. And, great preshow post @RogueSoul! Quote
LPLStaff Posted Monday at 03:14 PM Posted Monday at 03:14 PM It doesn't seem like this new setlist has many built-in rotation spots. However, we may have said that about the 2024 one. Perspective lol. Just hoping they change up as much as they CAN in 2025 to keep the shows interesting. Crawling would be good rotated with Points and LFY - think Crawling is at a point where it can be rotated. Not really sure where From the Inside could go in... maybe they need to rotate some of the From Zero songs? Two Faced/Casualty, Good Things Go/Overflow? The crazy thing is they have a LOT of songs they have already brought in and out and we are only like legitimately 15 full shows in (or less?): Points of Authority Lying from You Lost in the Echo Leave Out All the Rest Breaking the Habit Friendly Fire My December Keys to the Kingdom (All for Nothing) A Place for My Head Given Up This is honestly a ton of songs - the OG band lineup would never have done something like this this quickly on a modern day tour. It's going to be hard to pop those in and out, but most of those should at least get a few plays each in 2025 to keep it fun. From the Inside could show up. If you need to, rotate something like Papercut too. Hoping Keys to the Kingdom shows up tonight or at the third Mexico show to signify it isn't dead in the water. Great post, @RogueSoul on this one. Really well done. Quote

I think the only option is on the APFMH rotation spot, which, as it seems, it's the only rotation spot that survived the 2024 tour Quote
LPLStaff Posted Monday at 04:05 PM Posted Monday at 04:05 PM They're going to have to get creative. Rotate Castle with Breaking the Habit and Leave Out All the Rest. Rotate Crawling with Points and Lying from You. Rotate What I've Done with Breaking the Habit or something. There are options. Given Up and Keys with Casualty. APFMH and Lost in the Echo and From the Inside together. They can do it haha Quote

Really well done. Well, the current setlist for the first concert in 2025 only contains 25 songs, 27 and 28 songs were already played in 2024, so 2-3 more songs could be added. Points of Authority and Lying from You should please be back on the setlist, they are two of Linkin Park's best live songs. I don't think Papercut will be rotated, I hope it always stays on the various setlists in 2025, it's one of the top live songs. Please don't rotate Good Things Go/Overflow, both songs should please stay on the setlist. I really hope Cut the Bridge is on the setlist and IGYEIH would be great too, I could just do without Stained by From Zero, I don't like the song. From the Inside will be added later in the year, they said they wanted to play the song and Colin or Alex said he would like to play Runaway, that would be great. I don't need Lost in the Echo, Leave Out All the Rest and Friendly Fire in the various 2025 set lists, I think My December in the currently played version from 2024 is very nice, but it doesn't fit in now and especially in the summer, I would like to see Keys to the Kingdom live and Given Up is always good, I would also love to hear No More Sorrow live again. Quote
LPLStaff Posted Monday at 04:44 PM Posted Monday at 04:44 PM It seems unlikely they will ADD songs since they have so many shows coming this year - it seems deliberate they cut it down. The touring schedule is intense. Quote
RogueSoul Posted Monday at 10:20 PM Author Posted Monday at 10:20 PM Thanks for the love on the post, everyone! 2024 started similarly with just one rotation spot in the setlist before new songs were added in and switched out with others. It was only in Brazil that all three rotations happened, anf that was because of the two shows. With the two shows in Japan coming up next week, I think they must at least have a FEW songs to switch in and out, but we may very well not see them until then. That being said, since the rotation songs themselves seem to have switched around (APFMH now in Set A), I think B and/or C will have something cool in that spot. Quote
javignacio Posted Monday at 10:42 PM Posted Monday at 10:42 PM Also at one point they will have to rotate FZ songs, if they plan to play the 10 songs. Quote
LPLStaff Posted yesterday at 04:08 AM Posted yesterday at 04:08 AM Glad to see Keys back. Prefer it over Casualty. Quote
juancpin Posted yesterday at 08:48 AM Posted yesterday at 08:48 AM KTTK is awesome live, not gonna lie. Casualty is raw also, I love it. Quote

Also I hope they'll add more songs from The Hunting Party, especially Mark the Graves and Rebellion, which I think Emily would get right Quote
Stewe Posted yesterday at 11:07 AM Posted yesterday at 11:07 AM I'm hoping that Breaking The Habit is gone forever. I love that song but it's not the same without Chester. Breaking The Habit is HIS song Quote

LPLStaff Posted yesterday at 02:24 PM Posted yesterday at 02:24 PM Breaking the Habit is better than Over Each Other, Burn It Down, Castle of Glass, etc. Definitely would like to see them rotate it around. Play everything. Let it get some 2025 plays, same for LOATR, Iridescent, etc. Quote

I would like to see Over Each Other live, Castle of Glass and Iridescent are great songs. Quote
Luki98 Posted yesterday at 04:09 PM Posted yesterday at 04:09 PM I can see from the recordings that the band is getting better and better together on stage. Emily, Alex and Collin are becoming more and more confident. It's very good that Overflow and Good Things Go stays in set B. I didn't expect Lying From You as an encore. There will probably be Points Of Authority in set C and that's good. Seeing how good Alex plays solo, I wish they would add A Line In The Sand. Quote
Mazatan Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago The audio mix at the concert last night was great, all the songs were on spot. The whole band gave a beautiful performance, and I can confirm Emily seems to be more confident on stage with the band. I just wish they bring the LPU meet & greets, honestly that's the part I wished for, to meet the band. PS - It was my first LP concert ever and I got lucky to get one of Colin's drumsticks, that made my night, since I couldn't get the early access due to "grown up stuff" haha. But I turned out for the best, because if not, I wouldn't had the chance to get the drumstick. Quote
