Linkin Park has uploaded a professionally mixed version of the live debut of Two Faced in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The audio was mixed by Ethan Mates and video comes from the live stream/filming of the event along with additional shots by Mark Fiore.

Stay tuned as the band announced on stage that they will be airing a version that mixes both of these shows together in theaters in 2025, which could also leave to a full live release.

The production of this video is incredible, perhaps the best we've ever seen from the band.
This video of the full show must be amazing!

Just one detail: at the show on the 16th, I talked to Adam, and he assured me that no content from the show on the 16th would be recorded for the documentary or used in any other way. I also spoke with a photographer working for Warner, and he assured me of the same.
This information makes sense since much of the recording equipment wasn’t present on the 16th, such as the drone.
However, the fact that the band wore the same outfits suggests otherwise. I don't know what is true.

I’m also curious to know if Multishow was involved in the production in any way, as they broadcasted the show live in Brazil. Perhaps they filmed a base version that the band will enhance with new takes and mixing.

Either way, I’m really excited for this concert to be released in such quality and to watch it in theaters. I hope the band ends up releasing a Blu-ray later on.

Really? What a shame, we could have had a few more bonus tracks. I don't understand why, they like to cover up the fuck ups with footage from other nights.

Anyway, I hope they don't cut any songs for the official BR/DVD!

Yes, unfortunately.
Even so, I’m not sure if he was telling the truth. It doesn’t make sense for the entire band to be wearing the same clothes from the night before. Maybe they’ll use a few small takes from the 16th during the editing.

It’s a shame because Points of Authority and A Place For My Head from the second show could have been used as bonus tracks.

If this turns out to be true, I think it’s a waste because the show on the 16th was much better than the one on the 15th, and that’s an almost unanimous opinion among those who attended both shows.

No matter what they say at the show, Mike replied to us on Twitter about using both nights. And wearing the same clothes both nights mean they can use shots from both nights in the live release. Think this just means the 15th is the base of it all and the 16th is for supplemental/extra stuff if they happen to capture a better angle of something and want to sub it in, they can - etc.

There's clearly two guitars in this mix. Was mike's tech playing offstage or something? I think the right ear is Alex but there's clearly another guitar in the left ear

Stereo doubling trick they've been using on the single-guitar songs for as long as I can remember. You put a very short delay on the guitar, pan the dry signal to one side and the delayed signal to the other side with the phase flipped. With the Axe FX rigs they might be doing it with different cab sims on each side too.

You can hear it on plenty of old stuff though, like the chorus/outro of this recording of APFMH from 2014:

awesome video, but the lack of the crowd singing during the chorus in the mix and etc annoys me. I hate Ethan's mixes, he always buries the sound of the crowd during the songs.

how can you NOT SHOW a 50k crowd singing a new song like this?

idk man, but i fkin love Ethan mixes. "HT Live at Download 2014 "is sick! i mean, why should i listen to crowd cheering/singing louder than the song itself? i only accept that crowd cheer if i'm watching the video performances.

Thank you for the information. It was exactly what I believed would happen. It didn’t make any sense not to use the images from the 16th for something, especially if they wore the same outfits for both shows.

I just shared what I heard from Adam that day, but I didn’t really believe it either. 🤣

I love the video - great drone shots. But I agree with some people here about the mix. Not a fan.

The vocals are so on-top of the music, it's not really fair to Emily (or Mike). There is a perfect spot where distorted guitars blend and support an aggressive vocal, and this mix is not it.

Plus, I agree that the audience should be mixed louder. Get the feel of the show. It doesn't matter if it's at the cost of some clearity in the music. Brazil are known for their audiences, and humans want to feel.

I'm a huge fan of Live records and I think it's a waste when the recording is basically a excessive polished recording with barely any crowd sound. You can have that clean profesional sound while hearing the crowd chanting LOUD. I mean, I would get a low crowd sound in a place like NY, LA... More "boring" places, no disrespect. But if you are in Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, where the crowds are wild, you have to capture that energy. Here's a good example of good mixing:

The purpose of the professional mix is to showcase direct line-in recordings from the instruments, which explains why the crowd noise isn’t captured—the microphones weren’t directed at them.

yes, there were microphones directed to the crowd... I was there, front row.

Yeah! You got it, having a live recording where everything is perfect and audience is barely there is a waste of time and money. I want to HEAR people.
