A new band on the scene, Sun Never Sets, has released their debut single 'Not Giving Up,' and it features Linkin Park's very own Rob Bourdon on drums!

This is a brand new song built from an old collaboration. Sun Never Sets is the project of Ryan K. Giles and Adelitas Way's Rick DeJesus. You may remember Giles from the LPU Sessions all the way back in 2013, when two winners were brought to the studio to work with Linkin Park. His track 'Truth Inside A Lie' made it onto the LPU XIII CD, also featuring Rob on drums. Also on the CD is 'Change' by Beta State.

The drum track from this track is presumably from this same session back in 2013, obviously put to more music and expanded upon. Interestingly enough, Linkin Park's engineer Ethan Mates is responsible for the mixing of this track as well. Check out more information for the song on it's brand new Linkinpedia page.

What do you think of the track? If you like it, support the new music and purchase the song on iTunes. This isn't the first feature Rob has had over the last year - he featured on Zayed Hassan's 'Sailing Through The Clouds,' released in September, as well. Hassan was the grand prize winner of the Stagelight Monthly Music Contest in October 2015.

Not Giving Up:

I can't sleep, it cuts so deep

What you said keeps playing in my head

It's you, not me, pack up your things

That you could see us better off as friends

You tell me it's over, a truth inside a lie is what I need

And you should know that I'm not giving up

If I could get closer, make you realize what I could be

And you should know that I'm not giving up

And I'm not giving up

(Giving up)

I can see you think of me

You call me just to say you're checking in

A chemistry of a love so deep

It keeps playing like a jukebox in my head

You tell me it's over, a truth inside a lie is what I see

And you should know that I'm not giving up

If I could get closer, make you realize what I could be

And you should know that I'm not giving up

That I'm not giving up

That I'm not giving up

That I'm not giving up

Don't tell me it's over, a truth inside a lie is what I see

And you should know that I'm not giving up

If I could get closer, make you realize what I could be

And you should know that I'm not giving up

That I'm not giving up

(I can see you think of me)

That I'm not giving up

(Giving up)

Don't tell me it's over

Don't tell me it's over

That sounds like the final version of Truth inside a lie, and it even says "truth inside a lie" in the chorus

Yeah, it's mostly the same instrumental track that appeared on the LPU CD, actually. Different intro, a few things tweaked here and there, but generally it doesn't sound like a whole lot was re-recorded.
