On to version four. Trying to do the corrections as they are submitted. We've compiled all of the 1.0, 2.0, and 3.0 ones into a Google Doc that I've been working on for a while.

Please try not to spam the topic up...basically just post here only if you have a correction you see that needs to be addressed or something that should be ADDED.
This applies to:
- SOURCES
- SHOW NOTES / OTHER NOTES
- SETLISTS
- MISSING SHOWS / TOUR DATES / ETC
- MISSING OTHER BAND INFORMATION
And anything else....
*of course any typos/punctuation/grammar mistakes*
If you submitted something before that you see isn't fixed for some reason, please repost it here.

The cover of 'Rolling In The Deep' by Adele was performed for the first time.

This is the first time that Linkin Park covered the song 'Rolling In The Deep' by Adele.

Going through the older pages, there's some things that we need to keep more consistent.

  • Bleed It Out (2008): Ext. Bridge + Ext. Ending w/ Street Drum Corps; Extension names in general for this song are very inconsistent.
  • 2012-present: Abbreviated/Shortened conflict
  • Bleed It Out outro: Do we have a standard for what differentiates "Ext. Ending" from "Ext. Outro"?

http://lplive.net/shows/db/2001/20010130

"In The End" was aborted and then started again:

Five songs into an ecstatic set at the historic Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco, Linkin Park launches into "In The End." Something's not quite right. "Stop, stop, stop," vocalist Mike Shinoda orders. The crowd is shocked. "You guys are kicking our ass, and that wasn't right," he admits. "We want to live up to your standards."

The six-member band reloads and then kicks the tune up a notch. A couple weeks later, singer Chester Bennington explains, "We know how well we can play and we know what people hear. We try to match that as much as possible live. I'd say about 90 percent of the time we do; there's about 10 percent of the time that we don't, and we hate that. So it was cool for him to do that."

Apparently, that's not the first time the band has taken that approach. "There was this one time when the crowd started the song and they were so on. We skipped a beat and I stopped it, too. I said, 'This is about as punk-rock as we get, so we're going to start the song over.' We try to maintain a level of quality in our set."

Looks like this was indeed the first show Brad and Joe switched instruments:

Joe and Brad switching instruments is HILARIOUS, in Tucson, you
were right above Joe's area, did you guys know ahead of time that they were
going to do that?

No that was not planned- I just gave Joe the guitar and Joe
played it. It was crazy fun (LOL hehe TTFN)

I think "Nobody's Listening" should be added to the setlist since it is mentioned in the show notes.

Edited by Hahninator
added by Mark 5/4/16

Would that mean that the setlist is wrong as well, since it says ITE was performed 5th?

-------------------------------------------------------

  • Every performance of The Catalyst where The Messenger followed should have "Synth Transition Outro"
  • Every performance (barring summit performances) of The Messenger in 2010 and 2011 should have "Ext. Ending"
  • This show and this show have "Ext. Outro" instead of "Ext. Ending" for The Messenger.
  • We have to the "Abbreviated" inconsistency here too.

Don't know if it's worth adding this to the notes but Chester wanted to play "Morning After" at this show:

[00:04] Ill talk to the guys about morning after @ detroit.. maybe they will let me.

***** LINKIN PARKS LATEST TOUR *****
Holly sh*t...what a tour it has been! Lots of sold out shows to include the New York show that sold out in (3) minutes!! So many kick ass fans in so many places. Linkin Park is dedicated to their fans. I saw this in a big way at "That Damn Show" in Peoria, Arizona on September 23rd. Not only did the LINKIN PARK sign autographs at the Zia Records booth after the show, they went right out INTO the crowd and signed tapes, shirts, and lots of SKIN!!!! This was the biggest show so far for LINKIN PARK and the crowd was fu*kin huge!! One lucky fan, Tyler, got to come up on stage for LINKIN PARKS entire set! Why? Cuz this Krazy ass dude covered his body in LINKIN PARK stickers which was just too cool! There are so many of you awesome fans! So many memories! From the crazy dude who yelled out from the crowd, " I'm gonna rape your souls! "..."I am going to stalk you and then kill you when you are at the peak of your careers"..." I LOVE YOU GUYS!! ". Holly sh*t man... And then there are people who took the time to draw some of the most amazing cartoon art of LINKIN PARK. At one show there was the coolest babe who colored some cool Japanese animation art on all the guys arms... it was just too cool... And even the little things like RACHAEL GREEN. Another cool ass fan who gave Chester a necklace to wear at the show she went to. Let me tell ya Rachael, that was cool and Chester was still wearing it at the Huge show in Arizona. He told us about you and then showed us the necklace. YOU ROCK BABE!

*** Sorry About the Jannus Landing Show ***
LINKIN PARK had to cancel their show at Jannus Landing in St. Petersburg, Florida. This was due to to a medical emergency involving Chester's wife and she just got out of the hospital today. Chester's wife is the coolest and we wish her a speedy recovery. If you are one of the fans who missed out on that show...the band is so sorry! They hope to see you again soon!

Sorry if it's the wrong topic but when you planned to update the setlist's page and "All song played live" section with The Hunting Party tour addictions?

Yes, we are updating the site around December-January. Most of the pages are already updated, "All Songs Played Live" pages as well as 2015/FM/STP summaries are coming next as well as the rest minor updates and additions.

From the LPU 2.0 Newsletter:

Toward the end of the tour, Lars Ulrich put on fuzzy, pink bunny-ears and big green "Hulk"-fists and invaded our stage to mess around with us during our set. Later, on the last day of the tour, we were allowed to go on stage and pull a little pratical joke on Metallica, a feat that (as we were told) no band in twenty years has been allowed to do. We took a basket, blanket, and food onto their stage and had a little picnic as they played "Master of Puppets."

- Fans attending this show had to sign a waiver saying they consented to being filmed for a Linkin Park DVD. This appears to be the first planned Linkin Park live DVD release that we know of. It is unknown why the show wasn't released. A lower quality version of the DVD leaked in 2013.

Released on LPLive in September 2012 for the website's 6th anniversary.

Also, shouldn't the soundcheck be in the setlist?

- 'Crawling' was played during the soundcheck before the show.

I remember sending Mark various tentative and changed itineraries for the entire Family Values tour and him adding a ton of postponed/cancelled shows to the guide based on them. Where is it all now?

Edited by Hahninator
added by Mark 5/4/16

We are putting it in the wiki under FVT. On the year pages it was too confusing to have 3 Anaheim shows, 2 of them canceled. It was hard to explain that there were 2 different routings that were changed. On the year page it had like close to 40 shows for that tour, 13+ canceled. Too much. The wiki page for the tour will explain it all.

"Three tracks from this performance were also released as bonus videos with all Best Buy editions of Minutes to Midnight: 'What I've Done', 'No More Sorrow', and 'Given Up'."

http://lplive.net/shows/db/2007/20070314

The sticker says "3 live audio tracks":

Not really a correction or anything but just an interesting factoid that I didn't feel went in any other thread: Ryan's, the venue in St. Paul that LP played on their first tour in 2000 (http://lplive.net/shows/db/2000andearlier/20000802), was also known as "Ryan's Corner," and later became the Station 4, where Fort Minor played in 2006. This venue closed in June of 2013, originally due to what they claimed were building renovations, but never reopened. The building was condemned by the city about a year ago and is now just sitting there empty. It's within walking distance of where I go to college now, lol.

Missing the source (official live release) and Chester's page is missing the "official release" icon.

Don't know if it's worth mentioning it in the show page, but Beta State (the band on the LPU XIII CD) gave Chester their demo at this show.
