RogueSoul
Linkin Park is heading to Scottsdale, Arizona on their next stop on their short one-off show tour, to perform a show at the 5th Annual 'Stars Of The Season' Gala. While this will be the band's first time performing at the event, Chester has been there for years, playing with various acts. In 2011, Dead By Sunrise was the headliner, performing an acoustic set featuring songs such as 'Morning After' and 'Crawl Back In'. The set also featured a few covers - 'I'll Try Not To Destroy You' and 'Palm Springs Reset' by Julien-K, and 'The Messenger' by Linkin Park. In 2012, Chester performed with some friends, playing some of his favorite songs, including 'My Generation' by The Who, 'Wonderwall' by Oasis, and 'Helter Skelter' by The Beatles. At the most recent performance in 2013, Chester performed with Stone Temple Pilots, performing songs like 'Church On Tuesday', 'Out Of Time', and 'Trippin' On A Hole In A Paper Heart'. Chester has been an avid supporter of the event since it's debut in 2010, and he continues to work with Cardon Children's Medical Center at every opportunity he gets! Yesterday, the band performed for Guitar Center's 50th Anniversary, performing a full run-down of Set A. Nothing of major interest occurred at the show, besides Brad making a triumphant return to the stage after suffering an ear infection that prevented him from traveling to Brazil. The show will be shown on DirecTV on December 12, we'll get more details on that soon. It seems like the band will be recycling Set A and Set B from the Carnivores Tour in Europe, given that they don't have much time to rehearse anything else (maybe 3 or 4 days in which they can utilize left in October - Chester has to fly out to Connecticut to perform on Halloween night with Stone Temple Pilots). Who knows, maybe the band will still surprise us! Miracles DO happen - in 2010, after reading a thread on LPLive, the band brought back 'Lying From You' and 'Leave Out All The Rest' without any rehearsal! Let's get that #BringBackAPFMH going! While this is not a performance, check out this video - the Cardon Children's Medical Center music video for 'Burn It Down'! It features some of their kids and staff singing and dancing to the song. And who can forget the 'Mini Mike' during the bridge? Definitely an awesome way to raise awareness and thank Linkin Park for their work with the program. We don't know much about what will happen with this show - a full set or not. The band surprised us yesterday and broke the Guitar Center Session tradition of performing a select few songs and performing a full set (though that may be because of how big of an event it was for Guitar Center). Chester's never performed a full set at the show (the only comparable figure for this is really only STP, where they performed 9 songs as opposed to 19). We'll have to wait and find out what the band decides to do! Who's excited for the show? This show is limited-access only, so it's likely that we won't get too much information on it right away. The band's good friend, Stryker from KROQ will be emceeing the event for the third year in a row! It's always great to see the band working for such a noble cause such as this. In other Linkin Park news, the tracklist from the score of Joe's movie, MALL has recently started leaking, including songs such as 'Luna', 'Ammosick', and a bunch of other new pieces of music. A bunch of tour rumors have started popping up, including a Winter North American Tour, a performance at Rock In Rio Brazil and Sao Paulo in September, a summer European Tour, and an Australasian Tour, which could be the band's first performance in India. After this show, Chester heads to Connecticut for a show with Stone Temple Pilots, and then the band will head to Zurich, Switzerland to kick off their European Tour! We'll keep you updated on the show, check back here or follow us on Twitter for updates! Geki
We might actually get something interesting out of this show. This would be the perfect time for LP to play some acoustic stuff or even some special stuff.
RogueSoul
The only kinda-special thing I can see happening is possibly a performance of The Messenger, but that is still somewhat of a longshot.
arasLP
If they'll recycle set A and set B of Carnivores Tour for the European tour it will be very disappointing... Europe has almost already seen that fucking setlist, except for Final Masquerade and Rebellion and for SIB and DOYS-LFY of set B. It's time for some more changes, especially if we think that there are 9 shows in Germany and a lot of people will probably see more that one show. Same shit over and over again? Come on! Btw I'm expecting set B if they play a full show, otherwise a shortened setlist with populars singles without any special thing. I'm starting to lose hope to see good surprises from LP this year. In 4-5 days I think is possible, especially because the band doesn't really need to reharse much more the rest of the setlist. Anyway, I don't expect anything. Simply the usual Set B. But an acoustic part of the set would be awesome.
RiderSSPU
We probably won't even see any videos for this. People said they can't find any past videos of these performances. I wanted to go to this but I'm not rich

RogueSoul
You mean Bucket Of Weenies? I didn't know that. Not Bucket Of Weenies. "Chester performed six songs with friends. His backing band included Elias Andra (former Julien-K and Dead By Sunrise drummer), Steve Stevens (guitarist for Billy Idol), and Billy Morrison (guitarist for Billy Idol and Camp Freddy). This is the only time this lineup has joined him live."

wiiesel
Why not drop BID and the Ballad medley and play FM instead.
[AndOne]
10 songs and Papercut being short is a real joke.
LeonardoMF93
The full set is already disappointed, the shorter one is terrible
marzo23
i dont know why they cut a new song and play the old ones..... and nothing new ...again! -.- my hope for a better setlist for my three shows next month died a little bit more^^
[AndOne]
Why would they add something new for this show when they didn't for the last 3? Pretty sure they have a week of rehearsals left before they head to Europe.
marzo23
i dont mean something that they didnt play til yesterday but i meant something from THP ....Wastelands, Until It's Gone ^^
JZLP-Benningstrong
I'm only surprised that they didn't play Final Masquerade their new single and a song that fits the event.
arasLP
This short setlist is a mess... I understand they wanted to keep BID since it's a popular single, but I don't understand why they cut FM for Blackout + Papercut both short... WTF is that? And that COG experience is absolutely unusefull in a concert like this one, they should have cut it and replaced it with Wastelands or Until It's Gone or, even better, GATS. Time for a 10 song setlist and COG experience... really... I cannot fucking understand them
[AndOne]
It seems more like a ITE vs. FM. They didn't drop anything until after WFTE which looks like they decided at some point during the show what they'll drop when they were running out of time, apparently playing past curfew was no option at this show. And that COG experience is absolutely unusefull in a concert like this one... BID and COG are both important songs for the Cardon Children's Medical Center. Look at the video in the main post and watch this video. Those two were bound to be played at this event.

Curfew is such a dump bullshit^^ here in germany there is no general curfew. only at some outdoor places that a concert has to finish til 10 or 11 pm because of the people where live next to it but an indoor show... i dont know! what's the reason for it? noise cant be the reason, isnt it?
