Michelbeats Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 Interesting interview for all the gear heads who are curious what LP is using on this album. Brad Delson goes in depth on the gear he is using and the process. http://www.premierguitar.com/articles/2071...kin-park?page=1 Quote

RogueSoul Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 I think Astat might like this article, given it has an entire fucking list of Brad's studio gear. Quote

shadowofthehabit92 Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 Interested in hearing the guitar work for this album. Quote
JZLP-Benningstrong Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 There's a lot of tech stuff that i do not understand but what I get from this article is: -They were tired of working with Rick Rubin -MIke threw away a bunch of demos and started again from scratch -Vocals are recorded very early -Ethan Mates is highly involved in the recording of the album Quote

Justin Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 They were tired of working with Rick Rubin Damn... that's a little bit of a harsh way of putting it lol. Quote
JZLP-Benningstrong Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Damn... that's a little bit of a harsh way of putting it lol. I'm glad that they are on their own, I always had a feeling that RR hold them back lol. Quote
MONDREUS240 Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 I'm glad that they are on their own, I always had a feeling that RR hold them back lol. It didn't really say anywhere in the article that they were sick of working with Rick. The only time they mentioned him was when they were talking about their writing process and how they learned from him. Honestly the only reason they probably aren't working with Rick on this album is because of money. Rick is not the cheapest producer to hire and the band really is self sufficient at this point.
