    Remember The Name
    Shortened (Intro/Chorus/Mike Verse1/Chorus/Mike Verse 2/Chorus/Chorus)

    - This was the first full Fort Minor show since 2006.08.13 Summer Sonic Chiba.

    - 'Petrified' featured the studio version of 'Introduction' played over the PA. This was the first time that 'Petrified' opened a show.

    - Before 'It's Goin' Down', Mike gave a big speech about how Fort Minor came about and how he didn't have an outlet in the Meteora era for his FM ideas. He said FM song ideas starting in 2007 went into LP songs. However, when he introduced 'It's Goin' Down', he referred to it being a song from before he had a name for Fort Minor.

    - Mike played a new guitar part on a new guitar on 'Dolla', which was shortened to feature just his verse.

    - 'Castle Of Glass' was essentially a remix of the M. Shinoda Remix found on Recharged. Mike changed up parts of the song and played a good bit of the remix before coming out from behind the keyboard to rap 'Kenji'. 'Kenji' was performed in full (the speeches were included), but it was over the 'Castle Of Glass' remix instrumental the entire time. This was the first time that 'Kenji' had been performed live in any form.

    - The debut of 'Devil's Drop' marks the first time any song from the MALL Soundtrack has been played live. Mike played guitar on the song. Before he played it, he talked about how the song came about and how the original guitar piece he recorded to his phone made it onto the final version.

    - On 'Believe Me', Mike rapped Ryu's first verse of the song. Then after his own verse and a chorus, he rapped verse one of 'When They Come For Me'.

    - The ending of 'Until It Breaks' transitioned directly into 'Where'd You Go'. 'Where'd You Go' featured the 'Until It Breaks' instrumental until the start of verse two, when it went into the normal studio version instrumental.

    - For the first time, Mike sang Holly Brook's (Skylar Grey's) part in 'Where'd You Go'. Holly's vocals were played over the PA.

    - Mike performed a different version of 'Remember The Name' than the recent performances during Linkin Park shows. Instead of the hybrid verse, he rapped his parts of verse one, went into the chorus, his parts from verse two, and went into two more choruses.

    - This was the first time 'Introduction' had been performed live in any form. It was performed as a new remixed version to open the show.

    - Mike debuted a new mashup consisting of 'Waiting For The End' and 'Hands Held High'. It featured Mike's verse from 'Waiting For The End' followed by the two verses and chorus of 'Hands Held High' over the 'Waiting For The End' beat. The first verse of 'Hands Held High' was over the synth beat of 'Waiting For The End', while the second verse was over the drum beat. To the end the song, Mike repeated the line, "When the rich wage war, it's the poor that die" several times.

    - A new remix of 'Castle Of Glass' (different from the M. Shinoda Remix from Recharged) debuted at this show. It included parts from the Recharged remix, but was essentially a remix of the remix.

    - This was the first time 'Kenji' had been performed live in any form.

    - The M. Shinoda Remix of 'Castle Of Glass' debuted at this show. It was performed as an instrumental under 'Kenji'.

    - This was the first time 'Devil's Drop' was performed. It was performed as a remix, with a beat and Mike playing guitar added to it.

    - The full version of 'Cigarettes' debuted at this show; prior performances were only the first verse acapella.

    - This was the first time the original version of 'Until It Breaks' was performed live. Mike only rapped his parts and Chester's verse.

    - New remixed versions of 'Where'd You Go' and 'Believe Me' debuted at this show.

    - Announced exactly one week beforehand, the show was advertised as being a "one man show", something that hadn't been done before by Fort Minor. The show was 21+.

    - Earlier in the day before the show, Fort Minor released the instrumental and acapella of 'Welcome' on FortMinor.com

    - An LPU M&G took place before the show with Mike. Additionally, fans could text MeetMike to 50505 to enter to win a M&G pass.

    - Before the show, Mike held an extensive soundcheck (about an hour). Several of those songs are listed above.

    - During the Meet & Greet, Mike said that there "might be more Fort Minor songs coming. Welcome was just like an opener and now it will be easier to release more songs."

    - Before the show, the LPU emailed the LPU M&G attendees: "Hey LPU, Join us in capturing Fort Minor's first live concert in almost 10 years. We need LPU members to document some of their day getting ready and excited for the show. To submit your clips, we will need the download links emailed to us at lpuhq@lpunderground.com. The download links must be valid for 30 days. Examples of Video Clips Include: Video getting ready for the concert, Video of miscellaneous Fort Minor items, Video of listening to Fort Minor in the car on the way to the venue, Video of you and your friends in line with tickets, Video of yourself at moments during the concert, and Video with comments after the concert is over."

    Shortened (Intro/Chorus/Mike Verse1/Chorus/Mike Verse 2/Chorus/Chorus)

    - Mike performed a new extended intro to 'Until It Breaks'.

    - After 'Where'd You Go', Mike gave away a t-shirt.

    - 'High Voltage' was performed after Mike conducted a fan poll online about what to add to the setlist. The choices were: 'High Voltage', 'Step Up', 'Second To None', 'Red To Black', and 'Right Now'. 'High Voltage' won by a significant majority. When introducing the song, he said that he "couldn't leave it alone" so he remixed it. The instrumental featured parts of 'Suicide Music' from The Raid through the first chorus, parts of 'C.R.E.A.M.' by Wu-Tang Clan through the second chorus, and the "Funky Rebel Break" outro was from 'Rebel Without A Pause' by Public Enemy.

    - A new remixed version of 'High Voltage' debuted at this show.

    - This show took place on an off day on Linkin Park's European Tour for The Hunting Party. That tour played Berlin the day after this show.

    - Chester and Phoenix were both in attendance at this show.

    - Linkin Park performed the first show of the Minutes To Midnight Touring Cycle at this venue in April 2007.

    Remember The Name
    Shortened (Intro/Chorus/Mike Verse1/Chorus/Mike Verse 2/Chorus/Chorus)

    - On 'Kenji', Mike climbed on a high speaker on the side of the stage for the entirety of the song.

    - The instrumental of 'High Voltage' featured parts of 'Suicide Music' from The Raid through the first chorus, parts of 'C.R.E.A.M.' by Wu-Tang Clan through the second chorus, and the "Funky Rebel Break" outro was from 'Rebel Without A Pause' by Public Enemy.

    - At the Meet & Greet, a fan asked Mike to perform a mashup of 'Skin To Bone' and 'Remember The Name'. Mike thought for a minute, trying to figure it out...and to open the encore decided to take requests. He said that 'There They Go' was requested online during the recent fan poll (even though it wasn't a choice). He rapped the intro, a partial first verse, and the intro again, all over the Funky Rebel Break instrumental (from the end of 'High Voltage'). Then, he took requests and was about to list off a few choices but fans picked 'A Place For My Head'. He rapped the first verse before the crowd started the chorus, causing Mike to join in with them.

    - At the end of the show, Mike threw out signed copies of The Rising Tied to fans.

    - This was the first time that Mike played 'There They Go' since the Fort Minor comeback.

    - This was the first time that Mike performed 'A Place For My Head' with Fort Minor.

    - Mike announced this show on August 23rd, just before Linkin Park took the stage in Hockenheim, Germany.

    - Before the show, Mike did an interview with Daniel P. Carter from BBC Radio 1's Rock Show about the 15th Anniversary of Hybrid Theory. The interview aired on October 25 on the radio show.

    - Mike added more stage members to the live show for the first time. There were three backup singers, and members of Black Violin that played the violin and cello added to the band.

    - Chester joined the band for 'Enth E Nd' and 'Where'd You Go', his first performance with Fort Minor. Holly Brook was unable to make the show because she was recording for something else. Chester took over her role on 'Where'd You Go'. He later sang on 'Where'd You Go' again in Japan in 2006, when Holly was unable to make those two shows.

    - 'Dolla' was moved up in the setlist from previous shows.

    - 'Believe Me' had an extended outro tacked on to it, which stayed with the song for every single show the band played after this one. The outro includes a breakdown for the backup players to sing, as well as a fan sing-a-long part for the chorus.

    - The 'Fort Minor Medley' is a mid-set mashup of verses from 'You Lose', 'Megadef', and 'Bleach' by Styles Of Beyond, Tak's verse from 'Respect 4 Grandma' (Fort Minor) and two original verses by Mike.

    - This was the first time that 'In Stereo', 'Where'd You Go', 'Believe Me', 'Feel Like Home', 'Red To Black', and 'High Road' were performed live.

    - The day before the show, Mike posted on the Fort Minor MySpace blog that there would be a surprise near the beginning of the set, which turned out to be Chester.

    - In an interview in December 2005 with Reuters about the new Linkin Park album, Mike said, "(Linkin Park) DJ Joseph Hahn came to our show in Los Angeles," Shinoda says. "He didn't even say hi. He didn't even say great show. He just walked straight up to me and said, 'Listen to me. When you go on stage with your side project, it can't be this good. You're not allowed. It's not fair.' He was obviously joking, but we do take a lot of pride in our show and I hope people can see it soon."

THERE ARE TWO DIARY ENTRIES FOR THIS SHOW. Mike posted one the day before the show and one after the show.

    Tour Diary #1:

today is our first show in L.A. and we're doing it big for the hometown crowd. if you're around, come on down. tickets are cheap, and the show is great. plus, make sure to catch the beginning of the set--i have a surprise for you.

i usually try and come down at the end and sign some stuff in the front of the stage at the end of our set (if they'll let me). keep an eye out. if you have a fort minor t-shirt, it would be a good idea to bring it and come to the front, to get it signed.

other than that. we're still killing 'em over at TRL. thanks for voting, and keep up the great work. you're the best.

    happy halloween

    Tour Diary #2:

we played the myspace show last night--great show. thanks to everyone who came out and supported. the hardest part of playing a show like that is that we're playing music from an album that nobody has heard, so the crowd doesn't move around and sing along the way the do if they've lived with the music; but in spite of that it seemed like everyone really liked the songs and got really loud anyway. i actualy saw people figuring out the words as we went along, and singing along to songs that they had never heard before! great stuff.

for those that couldn't make it, we started out with remember the name, and went into a couple of older songs, "it's goin down" and "in the end"--the remix from reanimation. chester came out with me and sang on "in the end." that was fun.

after that, we jumped into the new material (6 songs), and ended the set with petrified. we have three string players and three backup singers on stage, and S.O.B. and beatdown (drums) are back.

i hope i can bring the show to a venue near you soon--it's a lot of fun. more to come later...

    - The setlist was changed for the Asia Tour, by swapping 'Petrified' and 'Believe Me', and 'There They Go' and 'High Road.' The 'Black Violin solo' was moved from after the encore to before 'Petrified.'

    - Mike brought Elva Hsiao, a popular Chinese singer, on stage to sing 'Where'd You Go.'

    - Beatdown played a short drum solo after 'Red To Black.'

    - Black Violin had their own solo before 'Petrified.'

    - Mike promised all the fans that Linkin Park "would return soon."

    - Fort Minor opened for 50 Cent.

    - The 'Fort Minor Medley' is a mid-set mashup of verses from 'You Lose', 'Megadef', and 'Bleach' by Styles Of Beyond, Tak's verse from 'Respect 4 Grandma' (Fort Minor) and two original verses by Mike.

    - This was the first time that 'Cigarettes' was performed live. Mike rapped the first verse acapella.

    - 'Where'd You Go' and 'In Stereo' fan videos exist in good quality. Several news reports exist about the show, and some include a few clips from the show. There are also videos of the FM Taiwan press conference and of FM arriving at the Taipei airport.

    - From one of the news reports: "There was a conflict at the scene, and a foreign female fan was beaten badly by Taiwan. According to them, she was besieged by other fans when she wanted to cross the blockade to the front of stage."

    - Holly Brook joined the band for 'Where'd You Go.' She was on hand for all of the Australian shows, but not New Zealand.

    - Beatdown played a short drum solo after 'Red To Black.'

    - Black Violin had their own solo before 'Petrified.'

    - This was the same venue that Linkin Park played at in 2001, where the crowd broke the floor!

    - Fan video exists of 'Remember The Name' and 'Enth E Nd', shot from the front row. The 'Enth E Nd' video has Mike talking about the crowd breaking the floor in 2001, and you can tell a lot of Linkin Park fans that went to the Enmore 2001 show are there.

    - It is unknown whether this was the first show the band did their first encore at or not. It is confirmed that the next show in London had the encore. If they did, then this was the first show that Fort Minor played a shortened version of 'Numb/Encore' at. They would have had an encore break after 'Red To Black' and came back with 'Numb/Encore', 'There They Go', and 'Petrified' to close the show.

    - Beatdown had a short drum solo after 'Red To Black'.

    - The 'Fort Minor Medley' is a mid-set mashup of verses from 'You Lose', 'Megadef', and 'Bleach' by Styles Of Beyond, Tak's verse from 'Respect 4 Grandma' (Fort Minor) and two original verses by Mike.

    - After the show, the band (including Mike and members of the opening bands) went to the Waffle House a few blocks away and ate, before going to a local club where they had a private table in the VIP section.

    - Eric Bobo played the drums on 'Believe Me' and stayed out for the rest of the show.

    - Beatdown played a short drum solo after 'Red To Black.'

    - Black Violin had their own solo after 'High Road.'

    - This show was on Mike's birthday. He was VERY drunk, along with everyone else. Ryu and Tak took time to have the crowd sing him happy birthday a few times.

    - Everyone came out for the encore and danced around with party hats on (including Holly Brook and the earlier performers of the evening). By the time the encore rolls around, Mike is crazily drunk, especially on Numb/Encore. You can hear him yelling and carrying on. In some of the YouTube videos, you can see how much chaos was going on onstage for the last few songs.

    - The 'Fort Minor Medley' is a mid-set mashup of verses from 'You Lose', 'Megadef', and 'Bleach' by Styles Of Beyond, Tak's verse from 'Respect 4 Grandma' (Fort Minor) and two original verses by Mike.

    - This show was moved from February 6th to the 10th when the tour was rescheduled around the Grammy's.

    - Jonah Matranga made his only Fort Minor live appearance and sang on both 'Where'd You Go' and 'Red To Black.'

    - Holly Brook sang on 'Where'd You Go' as usual, but also came out for 'High Road' and sang too, which was the first and only time she had done that.

    - Eric Bobo played the drums on 'Believe Me' and stayed out for the rest of the show.

    - Beatdown played a short drum solo after 'Red To Black.'

    - Black Violin had their own solo after 'High Road.'

    - On the encore, Ryu asked if anyone could play the tamborine, so they brought a fan up on stage to play it.

    - The 'Fort Minor Medley' is a mid-set mashup of verses from 'You Lose', 'Megadef', and 'Bleach' by Styles Of Beyond, Tak's verse from 'Respect 4 Grandma' (Fort Minor) and two original verses by Mike.

    - Mike Relm bridged the gap between Flipsyde and Fort Minor.

    - Before the show, Mike Shinoda, Tak, Ryu and Cheapshot joined Marc Ecko for an autograph session at Virgin Megastore in Union Square to promote the 'Getting Up' video game which features Fort Minor's 'There They Go' track.

    - Chester joined Fort Minor for 'Enth E Nd' again.

    - The 'Fort Minor Medley' is a mid-set mashup of verses from 'You Lose', 'Megadef', and 'Bleach' by Styles Of Beyond, Tak's verse from 'Respect 4 Grandma' (Fort Minor) and two original verses by Mike.

    - Holly Brook was unable to make it to this show for 'Where'd You Go' so Mike mentioned the backup singers would handle the job at this show for her.

    - Fort Minor moved 'Petrified' back to the end of the setlist (swapping it with 'Believe Me'). There was no encore break due to the show already running late, which meant that the shortened version of 'Numb/Encore' was not performed.

    - Chester jumped off of a table during the Bucket Of Weenies set and damaged some equipment, so there was a big delay before Fort Minor.

    - A few songs into DJ Z-Trip's set, the fire department showed up and closed down the show since it was running way past curfew. Unfortunately, Chester was not able to sing 'Walking Dead' with him.
