  1. True (about the Papercut one). Not sure of the OSC one I have a few more: Numb was announced as the third single off Meteora at the Summer Sanitarium show in Toronto MTV had exclusive rights to the video for Numb. This kept it off the Fuse network, which was new at the time and prided themselves on playing videos like MTV used to. Minutes to Midnight debuted at #1 in 28 different countries What I've Done was the third song to ever debut on the Modern Rock Charts at #1. At the time, the other two were "What's the Frequency, Kenneth?" by R.E.M. and "Dani California" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. (This one is a bit disturbing, so I don't know if you want to include this or not) Points of Authority is about a person trying to be controlled through intimidation and aggression. Chester was molested while young by friends, which influenced the song. My December was written after Chester left his girlfriend after a fight If you play the song Announcement Service Public backwards, the lyrics say: "You should brush your teeth, and you should wash your hands." Mike wrote Breaking the Habit after being inspired by the fans who have written to the band about how their music has helped them with drugs, depression, and more. Don't Stay is the only song not tuned to Dropped Db Meteora was recorded in four different places: the band's tour bus, Mike's house, NRG Studios in California, and Soundtrack Studious in New York Linkin Park added Hands Held High to their setlist starting from Milton Keynes. Mike saw a fan who made a sign saying "Play Hands Held High". Halfway through the set, he thought they couldn't play it because they weren't prepared, and instead sang an A capella version and HHH found its way into the set

  4. Do you guys still need a list? I can make one based on the ones you've taken from the thread and put it in a big list. MOAR FACTS: Hybrid Theory has gone platinum eight times. It got its eigth platinum on April 30, 2002. Rob's mom is friends with the drummer for Aerosmith, Joey Kramer Papercut influenced Charles Andrew Williams to go on a shooting spree in California in 2001 One Step Closer was written to express Chester's anger while growing up
  5. BEST: I'll Be Gone, Castle of Glass, Powerless, Lost In The Echo GOOD: Lies Greed Misery, Roads Untraveled, Skin To Bone, In My Remains AVERAGE: Burn It Down, Tinfoil, Victimized WORST: Until It Breaks
  6. Why does it feel like night today? (I'm fairly sure that's correct)
  7. Linkin Park has some badass medleys such as the Hip Hop Medley and the new Ballad Medley. Think there might be more? Have any medleys you think could actually be possible? I actually have two. TLTGYA/Valentine's Day/In Pieces Crawling/NRL/Robot Boy
  8. Sounds cool. I'll be sure to tune in.
  9. Poor Meteora... Definitely Living Things
  10. There are a couple of songs that I think should have been singles, because they had a strong message and could have made a killer music video. What songs do you think should have been singles? I think TLTGYA, APFMH, With You, and WTCFM should of been singles.
  11. Possibly BID Which songs do you think will become singles during the LT era? I think LITE, COG, LGM, and POWERLESS will become singles
  12. Meteora got its name from the names of monasteries in Greece. Linkin Park collaborated with Jay-Z at the request of MTV Chester is often reluctant to play "Breaking the Habit" because of how closely it relates to his childhood. The band's favorite track from Minutes to Midnight is "The Little Things Give You Away" "Session" was featured in the movie Matrix The name of the girl in the music video for "Crawling" is Katelyn Rosaasen Chester has a carrying-case cargo holder for his wardrobe because he has shoes that go with every outfit and his shoes and pants must match his socks. (This one is a bit random) Chester says that the band has fun by "Making fun of Mike's head" Brad and Mike both graduated from Agoura High School in 1996. The band chose "Linkin Park" as the alternate spelling of "Lincoln Park" so they would be next to Limp Bizkit in record stores. On January 9, 2010, Linkin Park released a song called "Not Alone" Music for Relief in support of the Haiti earthquake disaster
  13. Just got back and remembered this. What did I miss?
  14. Warner rejected Linkin Park three times before finally signing them. Linkin Park gots its name from an area Chester used to drive by after rehearsals, called Lincoln Park in Santa Monica, CA. It grabbed his attention and when he told the band members about it they all liked how it sounded. They changed it from "Lincoln" to "Linkin" to save money. Before Linkin Park, Chester was in a band called Gray Daze
  15. What I've Done
  16. I died at the end XD
  17. After hearing LT, I have a new setlist: SETLIST: TINFOIL Faint With You VICTIMIZED Empty Spaces When They Come For Me LOATR/SOTD/Iridescent (Ballad Medley) The Little Things Give You Away/Valentine's Day/Burning in the Skies (Rotate) CASTLE OF GLASS LOST IN THE ECHO Breaking the Habit Numb What I've Done Jornada del Muerto Waiting for the End SKIN TO BONE Crawling (w/ KRWLNG + HHH (2) Intro) BURN IT DOWN A Place For My Head/Blackout/Given Up (Rotate) From The Inside/UNTIL IT BREAKSENCORE: Papercut LIES GREED MISERY Bleed It Out (w/ Ext. Intro; NRL, Sabotage, Drum Solo; Ext. Outro) One Step Closer POWERLESS MIXING METHOD: There's an actual reason to the mixing of this set. It's basically start big, end bigger. Faint, With You, and VICTIMIZED are pretty high energy songs. WTCFM kinda makes the energy simmer down into a calmer set with nicer, almost acoustic songs. COG and LITE start picking up the energy into a bit of a piano set, then going into JDM and Waiting for the End. STB sounds like it should go into Crawling at the end of the song, and the extended intro is badass. BID has a lot of energy (when you experience it live, based on the live videos) and then a rotation of three high energy songs. FTI and UTB are both pretty high in energy as well. Then, some of the favorite high energy songs from LP: Papercut, LGM, BIO, OSC, and the epic POWERLESS.
  18. Christ, wish this was happening at the OTHER SIDE of the States.
  19. I don't know this and never asked, but WHERE DO YOU FIND THE SETLIST PAPER THINGS?!
  20. 1. Take a rest 2. Rehearse the new songs 3. Get ready to tour their fucking asses off.
  21. Yup.The songs I wanted to see most that I've never seen live before are probably being dropped. They seriously better add Figure.09 or TLTGYA, or else I will bitch like I've never bitched before.
  22. I'm laughing my ass off at all of these comments... "No way they're going to do the Honda Civic Tour"
  23. I don't know about everyone else, but I made my setlist according to the descriptions they got. You just have to assume how it will work our in a set until you hear the song.
