It's a mix of Blackout, A06 demo, Fine Victimized, NRL but still it sounds like its own thing. It's probably the only LP song that has a Industrial vs Nu Metal sound The other track that has some of that is By Myself Manson Remix but LP didn't work on that.

One of the most unique songs, i guess that it sounds way too complex for Meteora sound. Would have been a great album closer.

Probably you are the only one that understands my point. I still believe that Mike doesn't know what to do with his solo career. The campaign for Already Over was huge like it was the next big thing and the song was just next to average, putting out an EP of 6 versions of the same song was crazy as fuck. And then concept of these sessions is very random, something feels off.

The performances are cool but if this is not going anywhere its just a waste of time, Shinoda needs to tour next year....

Exactly but without success. I don't think that Mike's goal is to reach to a very small audience. Hopefully he does something in the future that helps him to blow up. It's kinda hard since every member of LP is just a shadow to casual and non fans. I will always express my opinion I don't care if people thinks that I'm a hater which is 100% false. I love LP and every member it's just that to me it feels weird that Mike is always holding back or not giving us his full potential. The release of this EP was something weird, AO is just a decent basic track it didn't need to be remixed that many times. Instead of creating 6 versions of it why not only ONE and gave it all in that one? If the band is not coming back soon hopefully in 2024 Mike could figure out what he is going to do w his solo career. I would love to go to one of his shows.

Lost sounds good after Easier To Run To me it makes sense being on the album the only problem was the band's mindset of having really short albums. Stadium Arcadium was a double album it was like 27 killer songs and they even released like 8 or more besides from those sessions. Long albums are awesome.

whats is really weird is that the band actually contacted Kyle about Could Have I wonder why he accepted the track to be released? that was the perfect moment to give his permission and also ask for royalties. Probably they thought that they could pay him with honor. He's not a fan he was a band member for a brief moment and he deserves respect and obviously they need to pay him.

A bass player who claims he recorded numerous songs with Linkin Park back in 1999 has filed a lawsuit against the Grammy-winning group, seeking credit and unpaid royalties. Kyle Christner says he never received “a penny” for his work, so he’s asking a federal judge to step in and sort out ownership and authorship of more than 20 disputed songs, according to the complaint filed in Los Angeles Wednesday and obtained by Rolling Stone. At the center of the lawsuit is a claim that one of the band’s managers contacted Christner last April to say the bass player was owed royalties for three demos and the six-song Hybrid Theory EP that was included in the rap-metal group’s 20th anniversary box set released in 2020, which commemorated their landmark 2000 studio album, also titled Hybrid Theory. The box set included the Hybrid Theory EP, which the group self-released in 1999 with Christner, and other rare and previously unreleased tracks, some listed as “forgotten demos.” One such demo titled “Could Have Been,” has been viewed nearly a million times on YouTube since its release three years ago, the lawsuit stated. When Christner went back and reviewed all the archival material in the box set, he concluded his work appears on “more than twenty songs,” the complaint read. Christner said he reported his findings back to the management company, Machine Shop Entertainment, but the director who initially reached out “went dark” after acknowledging receipt of his letter. The musician said he considered himself a member of the band back in 1999 and even played with Linkin Park at a showcase for Warner Records Inc. that ultimately led to a record deal. According to the lawsuit, the band’s other members “abruptly” informed Christner he was cut from the band in October 1999. He never got an explanation for the decision, he claimed. Still, Linkin Park co-founder Mike Shinoda complimented Christner during a Twitch stream after the 2020 release of “Could Have Been,” describing his bass solo on the track as “gnarly,” the lawsuit stated. Christner alleged other songs in the box set that feature his work are “She Couldn’t,” “Chair,” “Blue” and “Step Up.” “In fact, Christner appears to have played on at least tracks 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 of Forgotten Demos, tracks 1, 2, 7, 13, 14, 16, 17 of LPU Rarities, and track 7 of B-Side Rarities, as well as the Hybrid Theory EP,” the lawsuit claimed, referring to CD groupings in the box set. The bassist further alleged he helped compose many of Linkin Park’s songs during the band’s early beginnings. He asked the court to determine who authored and owns the disputed songs and for an accounting of all the profits generated by the works. They could easily create more LPU CDs If they wanted to They could create them by adding leftovers from HT20 and M20 6 track EP 3 demos 3 live songs and call it a day.

I wonder what was the thought process of thinking that the fans needed an ep of 6 versions of the same song. Yeah the FM mix is cool but I don't know.. This ep makes me think that Shinoda doesn't know what to do w his career.

It's not like super weird for bands to add songs that were created on another period of time. LP added Blackbirds to ATS. I think that it's fair because Welcome was the last song created as Fort Minor so it's a cool thing to close the circle.

Be Somebody has one of the worst lyrics and chorus in the LP universe My English is awful and even to me it sounds cringe This release is so random I mean what's the point? More vinyls more money? I don't even know if this is for an anniversary or somethinh I would love to hear some unreleased demos on a release like this, I guess that Shinoda has some in his vault.

It's been a while since Mike did an epic song. One of my favorites of all time is Over Again and Place to start those songs hit hard. After that every release feels generic and pretty basic I'm sure that Mike is capable of doing more and going all out I always feel like he is holding back.

AO = new music that brings nothing new to the table and it's basically a copy paste of the trendy sound of pop punk fake revival.
