Their peak in terms of commercial success was between 2001 and 2009, MTM was super huge and got #1 in basically every country where it came out, things began to go commercially “”worse”” with ATS, with a huge drop in sales compared to MTM 😊

I lived the HT & MTM era and they were the biggest band in the planet

MTM was huge but not as big as HT or M

I don’t know, I get what you say, songs like Shouting Out and Morei Sky Amends version could really be LP soft songs, it’d have been cool to see what could have happened.
I only disagree on She Shines, because Chester’s vocals are really different from his LP style (except for the super early days of HT on stuff like Blue or Stick n Move where his singing is very Grey Daze-ish).

Im talking about the sound of the album , vocals dont count.

Part of the sucess of Amends for me is that it kinda sounds a little bit like LP.

  4. I am making my list based on what I believe was the perfect choice to have a successful comebacks

    HT /OSC

    MTM /WID

    ATS / WFTE

    LT / BID

THP / KEYS: Heavy song that has the elements of the old LP and a guitar solo that shows some kind of evolution, very catchy.

OML / Nobody Can Save Me The only song that stands out and has the signature LP sound the rest of the album is a complete mess of disposable music (except for OML)

Being a kid on 2001 and listening to OSC for the first time was an experience that I will never forget there's no way that they did a bad call on that one.

  5. I'm a huge fan of this book much respect to Jeff Blue I do believe that without him Linkin Park would not exist.

Astat thanks for doing this interview I know that you consider me annoying as fuck haha but I respect you and admire your work for the LP community since the early days.

The book really makes you feel inside that period of time and makes you feel sad with all the struggles that they experienced.

My favorite era will always be the HT days cause I lived that era I visited linkinpark.com everyday it was actually a cool website and the community was awesome, I'm so proud of being an LP hard-core fan since 2001.

    One question Astat

Is Jeff in good terms with the band?

  6. We should keep this thread going with every update available of Amends II

    Cristin Davis
''Dave has been a guitar hero of mine since I was about 16 years old. What a dope day. #GreyDaze
    @greydazeofficial @sean_dowdell @greysquirrel65 @esjayjones1 @brianvirtuemusic @chesterbe @davenavarro''

It's so great that a legend like Dave Navarro is joining the Amends project, watch and learn Mike Tiknoda.

Maybe it's just picking on details but, Mike hasn't done those remixes either, a this guy did :) of course he explained to that mixer what he wants to do with those tracks.

so that's the guy who's going to win the Grammy? wow congrats genius.

this is exactly what i was saying man. what the hell does this have to do with anything LOL why randomly diss this one song in an unrelated thread

don't compare these edits to full fledged remixes, of course even the ones you don't like will realistically be better. No one took stems and manipulated them for this one. you could slap the mp3 or wav in any simple DAW and add these effects to it.

also, i for one thing the Dirtyphonics remix of LGM jams. imagine the bass is they incorporated that into a live performance. nasty stuff. if you want to talk about a bad Recharged remix, talk about the BID or Powerless remix...

will you do nightcore versions of your own songs?

If he was just in it for the money, Linkin Park would’ve already came back with a new lead vocalist. You do not have to love everything an artist does, but I thought we would’ve learned by now that immediately jumping on a hate train does no good.

    He is smart

who would do a comeback in the middle of a pandemic crisis without concerts?

LP will comeback but im sure that it will be next in 2022

I personally would love a release like Music Bank or Chris Cornell. A mix of greatest hits, rarities and unreleased content. There are some Linkin Park tracks such as Not Alone, Blackbirds, Final Masquerade (Acoustic) and Rolling In The Deep that never received a physical release. This would be the perfect way to do that. As a bonus they could include some of those One More Light leftovers like Friendly Fire, What Are You Worth, Ricochet, My Horizon, Tidal Wave and whatever else. Hell, we know there are some Hybrid Theory-era tracks still unreleased like Ashes and Turn To Grey. Imagine what they could release from other albums too. Chicken Basket, Fire In The City, Left Right, The Glistening. They could even include the live version of Looking For An Answer to at least give the song an official release.

that sounds like a box set
