  1. Where did the "Mike Shinoda recorded Mike Einziger's guitar from 'Wake Me Up'" thing came from?

I've read a lot of interviews with Mike Shinoda, Avicii, Mike Einziger, and Aloe Blacc about the song and the only thing they mention about Shinoda is that he introduced Aloe Blacc to Avicii.

    Edit:

I know if was from some radio, but what I really want to know is:
Has any of the people involved in the song ever confirmed this information?

  2. You do not live here so I don't think that you are the best person to talk about our journalism

    He is right though...

I just posted it, because Leonardo posted on the main post about "possible dates"

    [...]

So, probably Buenos Aires isnt going to have a LP show. At least, second this line-up, not on Lollapalooza.

I think only the São Paulo dates should be listed in the main post.

  3. I’ve worked with Mike Shinoda from Linkin Park and we’ve had a couple of sessions,” Bergling said.

“We’re still kinda figuring out where we want everything to go with the track and stuff but I mean he’s a really good guy and super talented.

  4. I didn't know that stuff like ''Live From SoHo - EP'' and ''iTunes Festival 2011 EP'' were available in physical formats, where can I buy those? I also would buy physical copies of stuff like the Acapellas/Instrumentals albums for LIVING THINGS and The Hunting Party, etc.

As far as I know, there was no physical release of any of these.

  5. If that doesn't somehow end up on LPU14 I doubt that we'll ever get it. All the other TV stuff LP did over the years is basically unreleased at this point.

The only "TV stuff" I remember is "Hawaii5Joe", "Little Boxes", and the VMA '05 tracks.

    Edit:

Oh, there's "Rhinestone" from The Crow.

  6. Cancelled show in November 11th, 2000?
QUESTION: Linkin park has been scheduled to be here in Norfolk, Virginia twice, and each time they have chosen to play a radio show instead. This is happening again on November 11th. I told the band when I met them in Richmond to come to Norfolk, but each chance they've had they've played somewhere else. What do you have against Norfolk?

Mike: I've never been to Norfolk but I hope to play there someday. The unfortunate thing is that when our label or our management hears of a radio event where we can play in front of a large number of people, they'll usually pull us out of a smaller show so that we can play there. It's just a coincidence that it's happened a couple times in Norfolk. We have nothing against it, we have a bunch of street teamers from there, in fact. We hope to play there at some point.
  7. 1. Pushmeaway.com circa 2001 or so. Webmaster knew the band personally.

2/3. I'll be honest, the oldest evidence I can find of either of those things about the My December Team Sleep remix is in a series of posts I made in this thread on the LPA forums in early 2005: http://www.lpassociation.com/forums/showthread.php?t=14653 I obviously didn't just pull that info out of my ass, I got it from SOMEWHERE...but hell if I can remember at this point. Simon from LP:Fuse would be a good person to ask, he was always trying to find out stuff about that song, he asked about it in just about every LPU chat during the Meteora period. On a related note, I did find an entry from December of 2001 on an old Deftones fansite that talks about DJ Crook from Team Sleep doing a remix of My December for LP's "upcoming remix album": http://defjef.tripod.com/news.htm (it's down the page quite a way).

    4. Mike was asked about it at the Camden LPU Summit in 2012.

    Thanks!

I found the info about Esaul:

    http://web.archive.org/web/20010623084955/http://www.pushmeaway.com/info.html#songtitlesandstuff

    And also found this:

'One Step Closer' was written after LP had spent about 2 weeks trying to write 'Runaway' and it wasn't working so they wrote a song about how frustrated they were- osc.

I've been reading about it for years but never knew the source of this information.

  8. I wanna find/know the source of these:

    - "Esaul" was the name of a friend of the band.

    - "My December (Team Sleep Remix)" was considered too dark to be on Reanimation.

    - "My December (Team Sleep Remix)" features scratches by DJ Shadow.

    - The speech sample at the beginning of "Victimized" was that of a counterfeit merchandise seller in Jakarta, Indonesia in 2011, which Mike had recorded on his phone.

  9. “I actually met with [AVICCI] and we played around with some music,” Shinoda said. “I don’t actually think that any of those demos are going to end up in the world, but when we did meet and were throwing around ideas, I [asked] him, ‘Oh, have you ever heard of this soul singer I believe is from L.A. called Aloe Blacc. He’s really interesting and I like him and he’d sound great on this song that you wrote.’ He said, ‘send me a link or something.’ So I actually introduced him to Aloe, and that ended up being the song.
