DSP audio should never replace the audio, it should be added as a 2nd audio track (in a downloadable version of course, since Youtube doesn't support that). /2cents

This question is not stupid at all. From what I've learned LP acquires all the footage. I can't tell for every festival in the world but here's what someone told me that worked at Rock am Ring last year. After very long negotiations about how much of the show can be broadcasted, it came down to the 3 songs that were on TV. At the end of the day, the shooting TV channel had to give all the raw footage, several hundred gigabytes, to LP and delete everything afterwards, so all the footage the TV channel has now is those 3 songs. LP records every show nowadays, everything you see on the video screens from their own cameras. You see that also on the LPTV episodes that they sometimes use the proshot footage, for example from the Honda Civic Tour. They must have that for almost all the ATS shows onwards until today. Probably not so much from the old days. I think in general festivals etc. keep copies of that stuff too. To release later for promo purposes etc. and most of it gets stored away because they can't do anything with it.

This is turning into a "i know it exists but we'll never have it" list if you mention stuff like San Bernardino 01 or Bamboozle 07 that was supposedly recorded by MTV. Limit it to stuff that someone out there actually has, everything beyond that is just pointless and a waste of time.

DSPs are added as Source 0, not as an actual source, also to add notes about edits in the DSPs etc. When you overview the year pages you see highlighting for shows that have recordings. So DSPs don't count as real sources for US. If we did that would display almost all the shows as a "show with sources" and you can't easily see anymore which shows have recordings besides the DSPs. Remember this site was started before the DSPs so the main focus was always on audience recordings or stuff from TV and not official releases. I know we haven't done that for the recent stuff yet but normal official releases are mentioned in the other notes of the show page.

The live songs are not from the Wiltern show, they are from Nottingham. London BBC, if it's a promo CD with the officially released tracks that's not really worth adding because they are probably the same and we don't list official CD's as sources (except the DSPs).

lol. I'm a taper too and I don't wanna be put on the same step as people that do a just a couple videos with their phones. Be grateful what tapers do and don't talk crap about it. There are not many people taping (LP) these days anymore.

I think that's a great example, you don't understand the lyrics so it just sounds like an instrument to you, the melody from the voice and the lyrics. English lyrics for me, unless I actually pay attention to the words it's just a melody for me too. It never made much sense to me to actually translate lyrics, that always sounds so stupid, just like poems, unless you change it a lot. I always wondered how that feels if a HUGE part of the music in the world is in YOUR language and you understand it all the time but might be also funny if foreign people sing in english. I guess it makes you notice how cheesy most of the music really is.

Wasn't it more like trolling by Joe instead of the band intentionally doing it?
