It's interesting, Brad improvises pretty good but you can tell that he hasn't heard most of these demos before.

West Palm Beach 2014 Mike dedicated the Fort Minor portion of his Solo Medley to Black Violin, who were at the show I assume.

They just have to take the time to rehearse new stuff, it's as easy as that. They did the bare minimum before this tour.

How do the other 95% of the concert goers learn about this? Does livenation email you when something like this happens?

On the upside maybe they start to work on some new music and/or Chester gets some STP stuff done.

STP was the surprise act so I guess some of the fans had no idea, not to mention the whole Chester thing. Especially the whole LP community had no fucking clue until the show was already happening and halfway over. There was a partial recording by someone. I found someone on Youtube who recorded the entire thing but refused to share it.

Does the crew still get paid? It's not like they can really hop on another tour at this point. I bet they are busy the next couple of days to cancel all sorts of stuff, this has to be a mess. All the planning down the drain. I hope they reschedule the tour, especially since it hit so many places they haven't been to in a while. But they wouldn't tell everyone to get refundes if they'd reschedule the shows anytime soon. I had a bad feeling about this tour but I had no idea it would end up this bad. Damn the next 2 months are going to be boring.

Brad had a broken foot for the entire Family Values Tour in 2001, but he had 2 weeks of rest before the tour started.

It could be easily much worse like a broken heel and he wouldn't be allowed to move for 6 months or so. A leg injury is serious and needs to be taken proper care of. Just 2 shows being canceled seems like a good deal to me. Of course it still sucks and I'm sorry for all the affected but canceling the entire tour would suck a whole lot more. Accidents happen, they do a lot with Chester, but a huge snow storm could easily cancel a whole lot more shows like that too.
