As far as Mike goes, it’s okay if he releases a pop song for three major reasons:

    1. It’s Steve Aoki’s song not Mike’s.

    2. Mike just released an album that was majority rap

    3. Mike can release whatever music he pleases.

Well I mean despite how it is released, this is actually Mike's song with Steve Aoki because Mike wrote the song and then sent it to Steve. I know how it's released is Steve featuring Mike, because sometimes that's how it works when it's released by another artists. Look at Martin Garrix, that's really Linkin Park (Mike, Chester, Brad, Joe, etc) featuring Martin Garrix but was released as Martin Garrix featuring Mike. Very technical I know but I just wanted to point out that this is Mike's song.

I think upon first listen the track falls between ALTNC and DTB for me. I didn't like either song for years until I saw ALTNC at the Hollywood Bowl and thought it was an absolute jam.

I remember there was one really cool outro song they used that never really got released anywhere else but i can´t really find it anymore. It was maybe even a part of a pro shot or tv broadcast. It would be cool to compile al those small songs somewhere.

Rock am Ring 2004? That beat was awesome.

He just said he is considering adding a second vocalist on it, and wants the fans to send in vocals and if he is interested he will message you. Also can anyone post the download link save me having to listen to it through the IG video.

    Where did he say that?

DL link is in YouTube video description of the song. Or scroll back in Shoutbox and it’s in there.

If I only got a partial refund I would blame this site for making such a big deal about them using a live photo of Chester

I will gladly take the blame from any fans who feel the need to complain about it. It's absolutely a problem they used an LPU photo of Chester on Projekt Revolution 2007 to try and sell this project.

Re: Credits. They had it properly licensed from Jim Louvau. They chose from a gallery of stuff he shot of Chester and LP. The licensing/crediting part of it was not the issue.

I’m surprised they didn’t cancel it a week or so ago. Anyone who would go to a concert right now is crazy. And same goes for anyone who would want to tour.

    That's a pretty hot take.

Went to Silversun Pickups two nights ago in Asheville and last night in Atlanta. Great shows.

  6. The HT era absolutely was in the 90s. 1999 is when Chester joined the band and they began writing songs immediately. Some were on the HTEP, some were unreleased, and some made HT. The entire album exists in demo form from May 2000. They didn’t just start writing those songs and recording them in January 2000. It absolutely stretches back to 1999 for the the tracks. There weren’t two separate Chester eras at the start - “1999” and “2000-2002.” It’s all one big HT era.

HT is the only album that’s turning 20. When did Metallica start doing their box sets? 20 or 25? I don’t think you should assume they won’t do any box sets if the oldest album is only 20 and LP isn’t even in the RARHOF yet.

This collection could be some sort of online digital collection or something. We will see what they’re doing. I’m going to offer to send some LPL material over to them.

Will, we have a piece of sample that have been leaked with tons of Hybrid Theory Demos last year (both named PIC_2 and PIC_3), funny enough THEY ALREADY APPEARED ON "TASTY GAS STATION" (5:32 https://youtu.be/D3WRQ3jDe90 )

This is the only thing anyone has heard of the song, outside of the band. It's not on any promo CDs that we are aware of... it's now 11 years after when She Couldn't was discovered on a promo CD. The sample is interesting, sure, but we have no idea what the actual song sounds like. It will definitely be a let down in some regards since it's SO HYPED UP but you never know, it could be something cool like Slip or Blue. Those came out of nowhere for the band and it would not surprise me if they have 1-2 other totally unknown songs just like Slip, Blue, Pictureboard, etc.
