  2. Well, since Linkin Park is finished touring for this year (as it seems), t's time to work on the 2008 Tour Summary page! You can find the 2007 one (http://lplive.net/2007summary.php), as well as all the others, at the top of each individual year page.

Here's where I take some suggestions from you guys. I can handle the audience recordings and the proshot recordings, no problem. Canceled shows are fine too. I can write a summary too, but if anyone feels the need to do one or contribute some information for it, then just simply post a reply. I'm not lazy, I'm just trying to get user input on the site, which is more of what we will be focusing on for LPLive Version 4.0. Thanks for all your help.

I also just noticed that the 2007 touring bands might not be as complete as I thought. I have Dir En Grey for the Japanese shows, but did any of the other Asian shows have an opening band? Does that list look full to you? Also, if you see any other mistakes in any of the other touring summaries, please let us know. Enjoy your weekend! I'm actually seeing Three Days Grace tomorrow, so I hope you're having a blast as well.

  3. Here's some random tidbits of news for you coming straight to you on Friday, October 10th.

-As you all know by now, LP canceled Las Vegas and the Asian Tour. You might also know that this leaves the crew without work for the last month of the touring cycle, which can be a burden on the families as the crew tries to find new work, etc at such a sudden moment. "As I've stated before, no workie, no money, so I was especially freaked out", says Pooch. Guess what? While the band decided to still give Music For Relief the profits from the shows, they also decided to pay the entire crew for the Las Vegas and Asian Tour. How awesome is that? Classy!

-A few weeks ago when Pooch and Dylan returned to a studio in Dallas to work on a few "projects", it left us thinking "what in the world could they be doing?" Many of us thought about the LPU 8.0 CD, but now we learn that they were in there mixing audio for a 5.1 DVD - the Milton Keynes DVD.

-Chester's injury? Apparently he was playing with his kid(s) and got hurt in the process. It seems that he slipped two discs in his back, so be thinking about him this next week as he recovers. You know it's bad when you have to be taken from your house in a stretcher.....

-LPLive 4.0 is coming along nicely. I will have to say that I have two great people working on it with me - graveguard and Legend, and they have done wonders so far. We will be trying to integrate as much as possible into this next version so that you will be able to find whatever you'd like on the site. I won't ruin you with any surprises, but be ready for a very accurate, info-filled, always up to date, and excellent site.

-Check out this sample of a HD Madison Square Garden DVD! http://vimeo.com/1885570. Awesome, huh?

  4. Just downloaded this today and watched it just now. Sucks that it's short. BADASS video of LP, oh man that owns.

I like the switch between stage and screen, usually I hate that but the screen had some good shots this time. The transition between Faint and No More Sorrow is BADASS. Like you can really hear that "machine gun" type sound at the very beginning of it really fucking well live and on this video. For some reason it sounds like absolute shit on the SBDs and that's why I hate listening to the Set Y SBDs. I dunno why they mix it differently because last year it sounded great, no idea why it sounds bad this year. I love it in this video though...they own the outro (no Chester scream though, wow) and then BAMBAMBAMBAMBAMBAM the NMS intro

And you said that LFY instrumental was from MK? lol

Take more batteries/more memory cards next time and record the whole thing cause this is pretty cool.

  5. The only other song that's known for sure that FM did at either of the Summer Sonic shows was Where'd You Go with Chester, there's a video of that too. And it isn't known which of the 2 shows either of the videos come from, I'm pretty sure. So that's why it isn't listed.

Chester did Where'd You Go at both shows, and there's video of both. One is the Summer Sonic proshot thing and LPTV/FMM/LPUTV whatever it is, has the other one. Then there's the same source for It's Goin' Down. Noone will confirm the FM setlist for us....

  6. On behalf of the rest of the LPLive Staff, I'd like to wish one of our favorite and dearest staff members, nkramar, a very happy birthday today! If you are unfamiliar with nkramar, think of a few things: Yokohama 03. Osaka 06. Palladium 01. Taper of one of my favorite audience recordings ever - Camden 08. And how could we forget that little song we call "Plaster". Yep.

    Happy Birthday!

  7. Everyone head over to www.linkinpark.com or your favorite spot for the Linkin Park Widget, nicely designed by our friends over at Sparkart, and check out the newest addition to the widget - The Projekt Revolution 2008 Wrap-Up Video.

Go watch all the backstage footage from all the bands that Mark Fiore, the videographer of the band, has cleverly composed into an eleven minute and twenty-one second (11:21) video to send Linkin Park out with a bang, ending the Minutes To Midnight Touring Cycle as they prepare to head back into the studio and smack us in the face with a brand new album. See the huge pit that Atreyu starts on stage, see Rob hang out with Street Drum Corps, see a cool spot about Music For Relief, see Chris Cornell and Chester discuss 'Hunger Strike', 'Crawling', and being friends, and see what the hell Linkin Park is up to backstage these days.

Even though the Projekt Revolution videos skip quite a few shows, this is one you won't want to miss. With all the cool bands and great crowds that came out this year, I personally think that this is the best Projekt Revolution that Linkin Park has had to offer yet, and I really hope that they continue it next year, or in 2010, whenever the new album is ready and they are set to kick some major ass on the road in the US again.

  8. ok I've waited long enough. I just sent this email to them. I've had it with this garbage.

    -----------------------

    "Seriously,

Did Bandmerch oversell the Hybrid Theory EPs? I ordered mine on September 2nd - the day they went on sale. People that ordered on the 2nd, 3rd, and after that already have theirs. What is going on with my order? I've waited over a month, and it's still saying "backordered".

This is the first email that I got:

"Please rest assured that your order will be shipped as soon as the backordered product is returned to stock. We apologize if this information was not clear when you placed your order, and we regret any inconvenience caused.

Although we make every attempt to have items in stock, occasionally we may list inventory as backordered, indicating that the item is temporarily out of stock. When possible, we will post expected ship dates. Backordered items are typically returned to stock within 2-3 weeks.

The current estimated shipping date for your order is September 22, 2008."

Current date was September 22nd? It still hasn't shipped. You apologize if the information wasn't clear when I ordered? When I ordered, everything was in stock, or else I wouldn't have ordered it. It makes no sense to say it was in stock, and then tell me it's backordered AFTER I order. Bandmerch obviously screwed up big time and sold more than they had, or this problem wouldn't be happening. Maybe there is something else going on, but this is what it's looking like. How is a Hybrid Theory EP temporarily out of stock? They were only made in ONE batch EVER, there's no making more of them, there's no ordering more. You can't make more. If you don't have it, then that's it because there's only a limited amount that were ever made.

Wouldn't you ship them according to what date they were sold? I don't understand why people that ordered AFTER me got theirs in September, but I ordered the very first day they were online, and I don't have it yet. You can't run a professional business with tactics like this. I'm not trying to be crude, but this is getting ridiculous. If you oversold or something, man up and say that on the website. Don't leave your customers in the dark, guessing when their order will come, if it ever will. If you call yourselves professional, I find it very hard to believe since this is only one case out of many that I have heard. I was even hesitant to order from Bandmerch in the first place, but when I saw that everything seemed to be alright with this sale, I placed my order. What do you know, a month and 4 days later, still no word on it.

    Thanks for the help,

    Mark"

  9. Hey guys. I'm just as bummed as you are.....I was really looking forward to the DSPs and last few shows of this cycle. Unfortunately, things like this happen, but hopefully the band doesn't take too long to crank out that new album. Anyway:

Both Mike and Valerie (winner of the Remix2Win contest) called in to X107.5 (X-treme Radio) of Las Vegas today. Shinoda gave us an insight on what the deal was with the cancellation(s). I'm glad Mike did this, and I guessed that he would do it being the type of good person he is. Thanks Mike for calling in and clearing things up.

Mike said Chester was at his house, not doing anything that strenuous, and his back gave out. He was in so much pain that he couldn't even stand up. Then, they carried him by stretcher to the hospital, where the doctors finally said that he can't play live for a little while. Mike said the band was expecting to be done with the touring cycle, with the Las Vegas show and the Music For Relief Asian Benefit Tour, but unfortunately they had to be canceled. Valerie asked when the band would make it up, and Mike said that they're trying to figure out a reschedule as soon as possible. He wants to make up the Las Vegas show for sure, but said the China, Taiwan, and other shows were a bit more complicated. Hopefully they stick with their word and make the shows up sometime soon. Possibly an escape from the studio-type tour that we saw with Japan 2006? Maybe in a few months they can make it all up. Valerie, I'm sorry for this happening...I know it sucks, and I'm sorry for all of you Asian fans, especially the hardcore as hell Taiwanese fans.

  10. http://xtremeradio.com/pages/2952406.php?

this, Valerie? I don't see it here?

    Chester getting hurt:

-Recluse spider bite in 2001 in Boston

-Hiatal hernia in 2003 (caused 1 show of PR03 to be canceled - Evansville)

-Extreme laryngitis (however it's spelled) and then severe back problems in April 2003 (14 shows canceled from April to June - an entire European tour)

-Broken arm on 2003 European run (TWO casts on in the FTI video)

-Broken arm on 2007 Australian run from jumping off the top of the stage

-Hits himself in the face with a tennis racket on the Asian 07 run, requiring stitches

-Throat infection on MWT 04 run (1 canceled show, 1 abbreviated setlist show)

-Gets sick on the US Winter 08 run (2 canceled shows, 5 abbreviated setlist shows)

-Fucks up back in October 08 - Las Vegas and entire Asian tour is canceled (6 shows)

  11.

Edgefest is GODLY. How can HHH MK even compare to HHH Edgefest? Edgefest was damn epic.

I still Believe that the 3 piano songs of the Edgefest wasnt done just to be special

i believe that they had some technical problems with guitars or something else

    they were forced to begin.

btw BTH piano version was awful.

Everyone knows that Edgefest had technical problems...

NO! BTH piano is the best piano version of all LP piano versions. (I don't like piano versions, but BTH is great)

Not technical problems, the rest of the band wasn't there! Just Mike, Chester and Phoenix were there. When PMA piano was almost done, the other 3 got there.

  12. I 100000000000000000000% agree!!!!!!!!!!!!

When England 2008 shows (Shows until England sounded same as 2007) started - recordings became very bad. 2007 Asia recordings wasn't so good too, but it still sounded better than 2008...

Auburn 2007 was totally epic, BEST show of entire MTM tour. I think Auburn recording is best live recording from Pooch ever. Every show after Auburn was mixed much weaker, WHY?

I hope that MK DVD video will be mixed and sounds like Auburn!

Setlist from this show WAS NOT amazing. FTI switched with LFY - TERRIBLE and HHH acapella too.

I don't think that original (SET X) is bad (it's damn good and I've saw LP playing this set...), but for show like Milton Keynes - totally boring. Worst thing at the show - no RME, they could drop From The Inside, Papercut, Pushing Me Away or other song - but NOT RME...

Whatever, I think that Live DVD idea is good. I hope that the show will be hardly mixed, because DSP audio - SUCKS (I totally hate this show on DSP)...

I agree with you. Auburn 2007 is an amazing show. Why not release that on DVD? :P

But yes, I saw Set X from PR08 twice and I guarantee it's better than MK. The MK setlist was very bad in my opinion. Hopefully the audio is very good and has some good camera angles and backstage footage.

  13. As you might have already noticed, the style of the forums has changed.

Why the sudden change, you ask? We're moving forward towards LPLvie version 4.0, and this layout, while not giving away too much, is similar to the design in a way, and we are tweaking it to our preference. As per some of your requests, I'll see about getting the info on the posts moved back on the left side.

More updates soon! What do you think so far?

  14. As you can see, I just implemented the 3.0 banners that we had done into the current layout. Now most 3.0 banners should be up. If you see a few missing, then that's because FisicoUK refuses to give me a site/forum backup (as well as every penny of the LPLive donations that were made) so that I can obtain them. I'm sorry - that's the best I can do. If any of you want to do any more banners, I'd be glad to throw them up. I'll be carrying every single one that's up right now into 4.0 with us, so don't worry about them being phased out. All of your names will go on the Contributors page in a special section too. New banners are always a delight and offer something new to the eye when you visit the site.

Also, yes, I can confirm work for 4.0 has begun as of today (Oct 7). Legend (Seth) and I have held a long discussion over what we are aiming for in this new version, and I think we are set. For those of you who don't know Seth, he's a very talented coder, so he will be joining me (as well as the few we already have for 4.0). Don't worry if I haven't contacted the select few of you yet - I'm working on it. Anyway, previously, I was waiting to get a forum backup from 3.0 from Fisico since I had quite a few ideas in the staff section there, but since it seems all that is gone, I'm no longer waiting on it! We hope to impress you with this new version and I will say that we do have a lot in store for you! Stay tuned. If you're wondering "when"....December maybe? January? More info on that soon.

Music For Relief Asian Benefit Tour preview coming tomorrow. I hope Chester gets better, because I know everyone doesn't want a 15 song abbreviated setlist in Shanghai, heh. For those of you in Vegas, I just found this. Verizon Wireless has issued a statement saying, "Verizon Wireless will be in contact with the university and Valerie as soon as more information is available about the band's health and schedule." Makeup date?

  15.

Oh, we know exactly why it was done, lol.

    The show page:

    - The band was still stuck on the runaway at the airport as of 8:00pm, trying to clear customs. They weighed several options, which included taking a helicopter to the show. They arrived at seperate times to the show. At the Meet and Greet later on, Phoenix abruptly said to a fan that "Mike has just arrived". It is possible that the band wanted to get Mike and Chester to the show first, so they could at least start the show, and bring the rest of the band later, but it is unsure of what actually ended up happening.

  16. Well, aren't you a bunch of ungrateful little bastards. We have no right to be getting this DVD, LP thought the fans should get a new CD/DVD and all you're doing is complaining. How about some thanks for the time and effort they put into it, rather than bitching about which concerts were better. Fans like you don't even deserve soundboard rips.

I sure hope you aren't even thinking about referring to my website, my staff, or me with that tone.
