hahninator replied to hahninator's topic in Previous Show Discussion
So you got to watch the full show from the side of the stage then watch Bleed It Out on stage? That's really cool man. Did anyone say they'd send you a video or anything of it? -
Some good new blogs that are up by Adam...check em out!

I was under the impression the theater event was shorter than the full show. Maybe not though. -
What an awesome video of With You!

I see exactly what you are talking about now. Nice finds, wow. Added them to the show page Thanks!!

On the 6th, Linkin Park heads to play their first show ever in Bucharest, Romania at the Romexpo for the seventh show of the Summer European Tour. It's the first time the band has appeared in Romania. The last time LP played a country they haven't ever played before was almost one year ago in Arendal, Norway for the Hove Festival (show page here). LP's 2003 show in Norway was canceled though, so Romania is really the first time the band has scheduled and played a show in a country for the first time (without cancellation) since Tel Aviv, Israel in 2011 (show page here). Recapping the last five days, LP played two festivals, one TV show and one headlining show. Rock am Ring (show page here) was complained about by many fans due to the German law forcing them to limit their live sound to 99dBA. However, the band still put on a solid performance. Rock im Park (show page here), the other festival, featured LP fan Richard proposing to his girlfriend on 'Bleed It Out'. By the way she said yes and Chester concluded it with "Alright enough of that shit, it's time to fucking party" before the band launched into their Beastie Boys' 'Sabotage' cover. Köln (show page here) featured what we think is the best 'BURN IT DOWN' performance yet. I'd post a good proshot video for you but it looks like some morons won't let it be uploaded on YouTube. Instead, enjoy a video shot behind the stage by a cool fan! Anyway, Berlin (show page here) enjoyed the same setlist that the Hollywood LPU show got with 'LIES GREED MISERY' added in. It was an intimate show with LPU members and lucky fans that won tickets. If you didn't get to see it since you weren't in Berlin, no worries because US fans can see part of the show in theaters on June 25. Others will have to wait for the DSP! Speaking of DSPs, the Lisbon, Pinkpop and Skive shows are up, so if you want them head on over to the DSP site and grab one. A band from Moldova called Zdob și Zdub, who combines Romanian folk music with hip hop and hardcore punk music, will open the show. Who's headed to the show? M&G anyone? This is also a non-festival show so it's possible the band will use their Berlin setlist again. It seems like the 22 song set that opens with 'A Place For My Head' will be used for festivals in Europe while the other one will be used for the headlining shows. However, LP does whatever they want and anything can happen so I guess we could really expect either one! Which set do you think Romania will get? On the 8th, LP plays NovaRock in Austria and plays Warsaw, Poland and Moscow, Russia in the two days after that. Shows in Odesa, Ukraine and St. Petersburg, Russia close the tour on the 12th and 14th. For the full 2012 tour schedule, click here. SETLIST: (thanks to LPL member Gual) 01. TINFOIL 02. Faint (Ext. Outro) 03. Papercut 04. With You (w/ 2012 ext. intro; scratch ending) 05. Runaway 06. Given Up (Ext. Outro w/ Extra Note) 07. Blackout 08. Somewhere I Belong (w/ 2012 ext. intro) 09. New Divide (False start; stopped due to Mike) keyboard problems 10. A Place For My Head (No intro, ext. bridge, ext. outro) 11. New Divide (Full song) 12. LIES GREED MISERY 13. Points Of Authority 14. Waiting For The End (w/ Apaches Intro & Wall Of Noise Outro) 15. Breaking The Habit 16. LOATR/SOTD/Iridescent (Ballad Medley) 17. The Catalyst 18. What I've Done 19. One Step Closer ----------------------------- 20. BURN IT DOWN 21. In The End 22. Numb 23. Bleed It Out (w/ Beastie Boys' 'Sabotage' bridge) 'A Place For My Head' makes its way into the other setlist! It is the first time 'A Place For My Head' and 'Blackout' are in the same setlist, following Berlin being the first time 'Blackout' and 'LIES MISERY GREED' were in the same set. Impressive! Thoughts on the setlist? Pretty sure APFMH was played due to keyboard problems with 'New Divide' though and it wasn't planned. 'Crawling' was dropped as well.
-
Wouldn't surprise me if they did another full length show since it'll be when the album drops. Now I am expecting a CD release concert in LA or NYC.
-
What Catalyst fixes are you talking about? So far on this tour they are leaving stuff alone that I see. Numb sounds exactly the same on the DSP as it does in this video. no editing on the DSP.
-
WTF. Papercut is epic. Hell no don't touch that shit.
-
Cool set. I like that we'll get a DSP of the Hollywood set now. wtf @ Hollywood not having a DSP, lol.
-
Sure was. New cd start to finish. That's just how Dave Grohl rolls, lol.
-
Why is that bad? lol The setlist they are playing right now is pretty epic

01.06.2012 - Adenau, Germany - Rock am Ring
hahninator replied to hahninator's topic in Previous Show Discussion
Not the band's fault. Pooch on Facebook: "Sorry you did not enjoy it. There are laws that limit the sound level at Rock am Ring. We are not allowed to turn it up very loud anymore because it is illegal. I suggest you get involved with German legislation to change the dB limits for Rock concerts." "In 2004 there was no limits. 2007 there were some limits. Now you are not allowed to mix above 99dBA weighted. This SPL limit is pretty low for a rock concert, and the result is less impact. Get involved with government to change the law." -
The sixth headlining show for the band on the Summer European Tour takes Linkin Park to Berlin, Germany where they will play at the Admiralspalast for the Telekom Street Gigs. The only way for fans to get into this show is to get free tickets from the LPU or win them from the festival. LP's first show in Berlin was already their fifth show in Germany ever and it fell in March of 2001 on the Deftones' European Tour (show page here). They returned in September of that year to play their second German headlining show (after the Hamburg one in January) at the same venue, the Columbiahalle (show page here). The show before this was in Hamburg as well, but was canceled due to it being on September 11th. There was also a Stockholm show on September 9th but we're not exactly sure why it was canceled. Anyway, the September 2001 Berlin show is known for it being the first time 'Step Up' was ever played live as well as it being only the second time Chester ever played 'Morning After' acoustically. Coincidentally, the only recording we have of it from 2001 comes from the fantastic audience recording of that show. The first time 'Morning After' was played was ironically on June 4, 2001 in London (show page here). In 2003, Linkin Park had a show canceled in Berlin in June (show page here), which fell on the infamous European Tour that ended up being scrapped. They returned in September to play the same venue, the Arena Treptow (show page here), however. 2007 had the first show of the Minutes To Midnight touring cycle taken to Berlin, Germany (show page here), where 'One Step Closer' opened a show for the first time and 'No More Sorrow', 'Given Up', and 'What I've Done' made their live debuts. The day before that show in Berlin, a fan named Richard asked LP at TRL if he could play guitar on 'Faint' in Berlin. The band said sure and brought him up for the only 'Faint'/'There They Go' mashup. Now fast forward to June 3rd, 2012, where Linkin Park was playing at Rock im Park in Germany. Richard was brought on stage to propose to his girlfriend during 'Bleed It Out'! Incredible! Congratulations from LPLive to the two of you! Is this the first time the same fan has been brought on stage on two different touring cycles? Remember Pez played guitar on 'Faint' in Australia twice in 2010, but I believe this is the first time it's been the same person in different years. Also it's the first proposal on stage at a Linkin Park show! The next show in Berlin for the band took place in 2008, where they took their second ever Projekt Revolution in Europe to Berlin (show page here). What a setlist that show had! And finally in 2010, LP played the first European show for A Thousand Suns in Berlin (show page here). This makes it the seventh show in Berlin for the band. This show is being filmed for the LIVING THINGS concert event in the USA on June 25th. This means we might see a setlist similar to what the Hollywood LPU show got in May (show page here) with 'TINFOIL' in the mix. Does anyone else think they might change something for this one? Perhaps they'll add an encore break in there since it's a headlining show and isn't a full-on festival for them. Regardless, this is a pretty intimate show and it should be an awesome time for everyone going. Who's headed to Berlin? If anyone runs into Richard, tell him congrats! On the 6th, LP plays in Bucharest, Romania for the first time ever. Five shows remain after that - hitting Austria, Poland, Russia and the Ukraine. For the full 2012 tour schedule, click here. SETLIST: 01. TINFOIL 02. Faint (Ext. Outro) 03. Papercut 04. With You (w/ 2012 ext. intro; scratch ending) 05. Runaway 06. Given Up (Ext. Outro w/ Extra Note) 07. Blackout 08. Somewhere I Belong (w/ 2012 ext. intro) 09. New Divide 10. LIES GREED MISERY 11. Points Of Authority 12. Waiting For The End (w/ Apaches Intro & Wall Of Noise Outro) 13. Breaking The Habit 14. LOATR/SOTD/Iridescent (Ballad Medley) 15. The Catalyst 16. What I've Done 17. Crawling 18. One Step Closer ------------------------------- 19. BURN IT DOWN 20. In The End 21. Numb 22. Bleed It Out (w/ Beastie Boys' 'Sabotage' bridge)

Hell yes. Because Pooch has to have a salary at the end of the day. I know for a FACT they will not release older DSPs (pre 2007) if the ones they have up now do not sell well. What's the point? Gotta pay Pooch and Dylan to mix them and then sell them online...what if they only recover 1/4 of that cost that it takes to mix it all? Then they're fucked and lost money, and the label doesn't want to lose money. So a smart label won't release UNRELEASED DSP's that we want like 2008 Europe Summer Tour and pre-2007 (or whatever they have left in 2007 that we don't have - that's a few DSP's for sure) unless these sell. If they sell only like 15 copies of each 2012 show then why in the hell would they put more up there from like 2004? So buy the fuckin' DSPs if you want more to come out. I'm tired of people being so greedy all of the time. It's $10. Cheaper than an album on iTunes usually. Pictures and a good mix of the show. I collect them all but I buy every show I go to and usually 2-3 others from the same year. Yeah I screw the band in the end because I don't buy all the shows I have (I have every DSP) but I don't really know any other way to do it. I enjoy having them all but in the end it's an ethical choice you have to make. The reason we share them is so people can eventually collect all of them because honestly if you want them all, there is no way ANYONE has money for every show. That's hundreds and hundreds of dollars. But I am admittedly doing something illegal in doing that. The point of sharing is not 5 minutes after one comes out for someone to say IS IT UP YET CAN I GET IT NOW WHERE THE HELL IS IT IT'S BEEN 15 WHOLE MINUTES SINCE IT WAS POSTED, WTF. Ever heard of the 2 week rule? The posts in this thread and on LPLive in general are getting really greedy with the DSPs. We can end the whole thing right now, not share any more at all, prohibit them from being discussed here, etc if you want. Tone it down a bit guys, please. Trying to help out the hardcore collectors and mega fans of the band here but the greed is getting out of hand. There's only so much we can do, I mean come on. /endrant

EPIC.

The sixth show (or fifth regular show, depending on how you look at it) of Linkin Park's 2012 Summer European Tour takes them to Nürnberg, Germany where they will play Rock im Park at Volkspark Dutzendteich. This is the band's fourth show at Rock im Park, the sister festival to Rock am Ring, but unlike Rock am Ring which they played in 2004, they did not play Rock im Park that year. Instead, LP played two shows at their first Rock im Park in 2001. That's right - two shows. Show number one was a regular set (show page here) and then less than twelve hours later they were called on to fill in for Slipknot on an alternative stage (show page here). The second show featured a different setlist with 'A Place For My Head' opening, Fred from Limp Bizkit coming out and pouring beer on Chester, and a lot of "won over" Slipknot fans. Unfortunately only a few proshot videos exist from the day show at Rock im Park 2001 - what a great show that would be to have in video. Here's a video of 'Runaway', 'Crawling', 'In The End', and 'One Step Closer'. After that, they had to cancel their 2003 show so they returned in 2007. For some reason, the band didn't play Rock im Park in 2004. The 2007 show (show page here) was cool though - Brad played a new intro to 'No More Sorrow' for the first time, which of course became something big on the next tour, Projekt Revolution 2007. Here's one of my favorite videos - 'Faint' shot from the side of the stage at Rock im Park 2007. Rock im Park is always a good show each year. Jonas (aka [AndOne]) from LPLive Staff will be there this year! Who else is going? Did anyone get a M&G or is anyone volunteering for Music For Relief? After Rock im Park, the band plays Berlin on June 5th and finishes the tour with shows in Bucharest, Nickelsdorf, Warsaw, Moscow, Odesa, and St. Petersburg. For the full 2012 tour schedule, click here. SETLIST: 01. A Place For My Head (w/ Long Intro & Ext. Outro) 02. Given Up (Ext. Outro w/ Extra Note) 03. Faint (Ext. Outro) 04. With You (w/ 2012 ext. intro; scratch ending) 05. Runaway 06. From The Inside 07. Somewhere I Belong (w/ 2012 ext. intro) 08. Numb 09. LIES GREED MISERY 10. Points Of Authority 11. Waiting For The End (w/ Apaches Intro & Wall Of Noise Outro) 12. Breaking The Habit 13. LOATR/SOTD/Iridescent (Ballad Medley) 14. The Catalyst 15. BURN IT DOWN 16. What I've Done 17. Crawling 18. New Divide 19. In The End 20. Bleed It Out (w/ Beastie Boys' 'Sabotage' bridge) 21. Papercut 22. One Step Closer

Glad you had fun. Can't wait to see those songs on the US tour. Perhaps a few songs will be broadcasted later. Sounds like due to the crowd though that wasn't the best show.... -
I'll see this. Hope we get a rip too online.

Most longer LP set on Maxidrom festival (Moscow, Russia)???

Better not drop the good stuff... USA has to have APFMH and With You/Runaway. -
The fifth show of the Summer European Tour is a TV appearance for the band, who takes a break from the festivals they've been playing and heads to Köln, Germany for TV total Autoball EM 2012. This event occurs at LANXESS arena in Köln. The event website says a band from Florida called Oceana will also be playing at the show. The band first played in Köln in March of 2001 (show page here) on the Deftones' European Tour, LP's third show ever in Germany. They returned to headline the same venue, the Palladium, in September (show page here). Chester performed 'Karma Killer' with Cyclefly and 'Control' with Puddle Of Mudd at that show, which was moved from E-Werk to the Palladium due to high demand. An interesting note is that the Lostprophets opened that show as well. It would be a long time before LP returned to the city, however. In 2007, Linkin Park actually played a TV show in Köln for ProSieben (show page here) right after the first show of 2007 in Berlin. This was the first TV performance for 'What I've Done'. A headlining show in Köln at Kölnarena was then included on the 2008 Winter European Tour (show page here) and it actually had the debut of 'In Between' at that show included in a new setlist. And finally, in 2010 LP played the same venue they're playing on June 2nd, LANXESS arena, in a headlining show in Köln (show page here). At that show, Mike got the band to change the setlist up and swapped 'Papercut' and 'The Messenger' for 'Lying From You' and 'Leave Out All The Rest' after seeing complaints here on LPLive about LP not changing up the setlists in Europe. Nice job Shinoda! That's also the show where we got a picture of Mike holding up the LPLive shirt! So this makes it the sixth show in Köln for Linkin Park and their second TV appearance there. We are expecting this to be a one song performance of 'BURN IT DOWN' since it's the first TV show they are playing in Europe for LIVING THINGS. Is anyone going to the show? On the 3rd, LP returns to the big shows on the tour and plays Rock im Park in Nürnberg at Volkspark Dutzendteich. After a day off, they play the Admiralspalast in Berlin on the 5th which will be filmed for US theaters to see on June 25th. For the full 2012 tour schedule, click here. SETLIST: 01. BURN IT DOWN

I think they give a middle finger and do it anyway. No way Warner gives just them permission. I wonder who exactly the festivals asks. Do they ask the band's management in LA, do they ask the band's management on the road (touring manager), do they ask the record label? -

So no LP at all?
