The Monday one sounds amazing!
  2. Is LP playing in Brazil...? What's the deal with this?
  3. Jason LeMiere. Sounds like a cool guy. Never met him though.
  4. Or hell maybe he said it in a different way and this means just that he thinks LIVING THINGS has the best LP songs on it from the past decade, as in it's his favorite album. You never know. Things in foreign interviews are translated from English (what the band says) to the local language and then translated back to English in an online translation so it's possible that is what he is referring to. Or there will be a greatest hits. But I think releasing that the same year as a new CD is pretty stupid and will take away from LIVING THINGS sales. So that's why I think it's translated slightly wrong.
  5. In an interview in Romania, Mike mentioned something interesting. I saw this on LPTimes - so thanks Jas! "On a last note, Mike said, "Soon we will prepare a surprise and we will release an album with the best songs of Linkin Park in the last decade."" Greatest hits? Or something else? Thoughts? What would you like to see on an LP "Greatest Hits"? Or do you think this simply means he thinks LIVING THINGS contains the best LP songs on it? Regardless, it's worth a discussion! EDIT: Mike confirms there is no Greatest Hits. "@lplive-maybe a bad translation or something; there is no greatest hits album in the works, only LIVING THINGS" Thanks Mike!
  6. Updated with the press release.
  7. I think the two setlists are too similar. Like most of the same songs except APFMH/TINFOIL and they only have 2 songs. I think they'll take these 2, make one more set and play new songs in them all. Maybe rotate a few new ones like they did in 2007 (SOTD, IP, LOATR). Then I think they'll for sure rotate With You, Runaway, Blackout and APFMH somehow. Blackout probably in one set. Maybe other songs will return like NMS. Hopefully even another old song returns for Honda Civic Tour. Looking forward to 3 very diverse but very epic setlists on the USA tour.
  8. The twelfth and final show of the 2012 Summer European Tour for Linkin Park comes as a headlining show in St. Petersburg, Russia at Petersburg Sports and Concert Complex. Most importantly and before we get to LP's previous shows in St. Petersburg,, everyone needs to see what is currently the most popular Linkin Park fan on the Internet! This is a security guy dancing yesterday during the Odesa, Ukraine "soundcheck" before the show where the crew plays some live recordings over the PA system (aka LP is not on stage). Video credit goes to the fan-favorite Sam Herrington. What a badass dance! Linkin Park's first Russian show was in on their 2007 Minutes To Midnight European Tour in St. Petersburg (show page here) for the Tuborg Greenfest at New Arena. In 2009, they returned to St. Petersburg (show page here) for the Greenfest again, this time at Telebashnya Stadium. The 2009 show featured Mike rapping 'Hands Held High' verse 1 a cappella before 'Crawling' for the first time, combining that with verse 2 over the 'KRWLNG' intro to the song. Also, the band brought a fan on stage during 'Bleed It Out' after verse 2 to sing the end of the song with Chester. Combining the three Moscow shows (2007, 2011 and 2012), this will be the sixth show in Russia for Linkin Park in six years! This will be their third performance in St. Petersburg. At the last show in Odesa, Ukraine on the 12th (show page here), the band surprised fans by playing the "headlining" setlist at a festival for the first time. I guess this means that what we've been calling the "headlining" setlist needs a new name. Maybe the 'TINFOIL' setlist? Regardless, we should expect that setlist again in St. Petersburg unless the band pulls another trick on us and plays the "festival" setlist with 'A Place for My Head' opening. Who's going to St. Petersburg? M&G, anyone? Will the fans flashmob the band again like they did a few days ago in Moscow? The band seemed to like it a lot, so I think it's coming again! This is the last show in Europe this summer for Linkin Park, but they will return in the fall on a soon-to-be-announced Fall European Tour. Stay tuned for those dates when the band releases them! After this show, the band takes a week off before playing four promo shows (four right now, at least, unless more get announced like we are expecting) beginning with two in Tokyo on the 22nd and 23rd for Music Station and the MTV Music Awards Japan, which both should be one song performances, and ending with shows on the 27th at Jimmy Kimmel in Los Angeles and the 29th at Club Nokia in LA for X Games MUSIC. We are expecting both of those to be full shows. For the full 2012 tour schedule and setlists from every show of this tour, click here. SETLIST: (picture here) 01. TINFOIL 02. Faint (Ext. Outro) 03. Papercut 04. With You (w/ 2012 ext. intro; scratch ending) 05. Runaway 06. Given Up (Ext. Outro w/ Extra Note) 07. Blackout 08. Somewhere I Belong (w/ 2012 ext. intro) 09. New Divide 10. LIES GREED MISERY 11. Points Of Authority 12. Waiting For The End (w/ Apaches Intro & Wall Of Noise Outro) 13. Breaking The Habit 14. LOATR/SOTD/Iridescent (Ballad Medley) 15. The Catalyst 16. What I've Done 17. Crawling 18. One Step Closer ------------------------------- 19. BURN IT DOWN 20. In The End 21. Numb 22. Bleed It Out (w/ Beastie Boys' 'Sabotage' bridge) The European Tour is now over! Anyone know what Chester is trying to say in
  9. Thanks! Wow, headlining setlist. Needs a new name for it now, haha. Pretty cool.
  10. Thanks! About time!
  11. Didn't Serg say he was tweeting the setlist for this show?
  12. Need specs for the live guide!
  13. Specs on your recording for the live guide?
  14. The one for The Catalyst is one of the most creative ideas I've ever seen at a concert. That's pretty fucking cool actually. Have the balloons up for the first part of the song, then "oceans bleed into the sky" -> release balloons. I love that. Hell if I was in the band I'd mention something mid song about that hahaha. Chester says after the song it was awesome. And the flag on stage is pretty cool. Place is JAMMING on BURN IT DOWN. Wow, even Brad bouncing haha. Chester sounds so bad on this song live though, damn, terrible choruses. Building it ERRRRRRPPPP. Gotta be the worst song in the setlist right now. The flashmob during that song really gets the band going, they talk right after the song longer than they usually talk all show, LOL. Obviously the band feeds off the crowd so you can tell they REALLY like the crowd/show in Moscow. LOL Dylan side stage is like WTF on From The Inside. Fiore getting some good footage. Well the band seems to love the flashmobs, even the FTI one they said is hilarious. Nice job!
  15. Looks like a pretty badass crowd. Cool show I'm sure, but the flashmob looked dumb.
  16. Prostorock, a festival in Odesa, Ukraine, is the location of the eleventh stop of the 2012 Summer European Tour for Linkin Park. The show takes place at Stadion Chornomorets, which was finished just last year. Prostorock is a festival that was started in 1997 and has been held four times since then, featuring mainly Russian and Ukrainian rock bands. For 2012, Linkin Park will be joined by Garbage, a Ukrainian band called Boombox (no, not the Boombox that you Americans know) and O.Torvald. This will be Linkin Park's first show ever in Ukraine! Ukraine joins Romania as the other country on this tour that hasn't ever had an LP show before 2012. Pretty nice to see the band is still playing in new places well over ten years after they started touring. At the last show in Moscow (show page here), Russian fans once again flashmobbed the band, this time a few different occasions throughout the show. Unfortunately Moscow was Adam's last show of the tour, but he will be back with the band on the Honda Civic Tour this summer so North American fans get ready (whatever that means)! Even with tons of rain earlier in the day, the weather cleared up before the Linkin Park set and the band played a great show with fireworks capping off the night afterward. Here are two of the flashmobs the fans did: One other thing I want to mention is about the Warsaw show on the 9th (show page here). For some reason, the outro to 'A Place For My Head' wasn't played and also 'New Divide' was dropped completely. I guess we'll have to see the setlist for Warsaw to know what was planned but it's interesting that 'A Place For My Head' has had an outro at every show it has been played at in 2012 except for Warsaw. Anyway, who's going to Odesa to see Linkin Park? M&G for anyone? We should expect the festival setlist with 'A Place For My Head' opening at this show. After Odesa, only one show remains on the tour - St. Petersburg, Russia on June 14th. That will be a headlining show so that should have the headlining setlist that opens with 'TINFOIL'. After that, Europe won't see the band again until the fall, when their soon-to-be-announced Fall European Tour will take them back overseas. For the full 2012 Summer European Tour recap, upcoming dates, setlists and more, go to the 2012 page here. SETLIST: (thanks to the admin of LPCrimea who caught it @ the show) 01. TINFOIL 02. Faint (Ext. Numb 22. Bleed It Out (w/ Beastie Boys' 'Sabotage' bridge) First festival this setlist has been played at! This means the festival set needs a new name - APFMH setlist I guess?
  17. As much as I fucking love Reading My Eyes and want to see it played live in person, there's only one real answer here. Figure.09. That is all.
  18. Wow looks like a huge crowd. Should be a great DSP from this show. Did the band talk at all?
  19. On the 10th, Linkin Park plays their 10th (how appropriate) show of the 2012 Summer European Tour in Moscow, Russia for Maxidrom. This show takes place at the Tushino Airfield, where the famous Monsters of Rock show took place in 1991 that included AC/DC (headlining), Metallica, The Black Crowes, E.S.T., and Pantera. At least 600,000 people with estimates of over a million were in attendance and over 35,000 soldiers/police were there. Helicopters too! No one really knows how many people showed up since it was a totally free show. Many in the crowd were beaten by the soldiers, which the bands didn't know about until afterward. For more information about that show, AC/DC Zone has a good writeup. So this is one of the more interesting venues for Linkin Park to play at. I know this is not a Metallica website but I thought I'd add this video for you all to check out of 'Enter Sandman' by Metallica from that show since it's pretty hard to believe the size of the crowd even from this video. Surely this has to be one of the largest crowds in live music history. Russia is actually building a new arena on the grounds of the Tushino Airfield called Spartak Stadium, due to be finished this year, with a capacity for 42,000 people so it wouldn't surprise me if Linkin Park played there sometime in the future when they return to Russia. The 2018 World Cup will be played at the new venue. Anyway, this is the band's second appearance in two years in Moscow. The only other city on the 2012 Summer European Tour that the band played in 2011 was Nickesldorf for NovaRock. In 2007, LP played Russia for the first time, playing St. Petersburg (show page here) for the Tuborg Greenfest and Moscow (show page here) on their European Tour. In 2009, they returned to St. Petersburg (show page here) for the Greenfest again and in 2011 as we all know, they played the Transformers 3 Premiere at Red Square (show page here) so this will be the fifth LP performance in Russia and the third in Moscow. Last year, you might remember fans with signs of "WISDOM", "JUSTICE", AND "LOVE" during 'Wisdom, Justice, & Love". At the last show in Warsaw on the 9th (show page here), LP played their festival setlist which is the one that starts with 'A Place For My Head'. We should expect the same setlist in Moscow. Here's a pretty good video of 'Runaway' from the show in Warsaw: From what I can tell on the official festival website, The Rasmus, Clawfinger, Therapy?, Biting Elbows, and some Russian band (name, anyone?) play before Linkin Park. Who from LPLive is going to this show? M&G for anyone? After this, only two shows remain on the tour - Odesa, Ukraine on the 12th, where we should see the festival setlist again, and a headlining show in St. Petersburg on the 14th, where we should see the headlining setlist (the one that opens with 'TINFOIL'). For the full 2012 tour schedule, click here. SETLIST: 01. A Place For My Head (w/ Long Intro & Ext. Outro) 02. Given Up (Ext. Outro w/ Extra Note) 03. Faint (Ext. Outro) 04. With You (w/ 2012 ext. intro; scratch ending) 05. Runaway 06. From The Inside 07. Somewhere I Belong (w/ 2012 ext. intro) 08. Numb 09. LIES GREED MISERY 10. Points Of Authority 11. Waiting For The End (w/ Apaches Intro & Wall Of Noise Outro) 12. Breaking The Habit 13. LOATR/SOTD/Iridescent (Ballad Medley) 14. The Catalyst 15. BURN IT DOWN 16. What I've Done 17. Crawling 18. New Divide 19. In The End 20. Bleed It Out (w/ Beastie Boys' 'Sabotage' bridge) 21. Papercut 22. One Step Closer
  20. Same. Hate how Chester doesn't sing the last chorus of this song aggressively. In the studio verison the first two choruses are sung one way and the last one he SCREAMS the shit after he screams the bridge. Live, he sings all 3 the exact same way. Not a fan of that.
  21. Hey thanks for the link and info but the privacy settings on that album won't let me view it
  22. This is a legit fact. The crowd was rocking from the get go (just mixed bad in the webcast), like listen to Faint, they actually YELL the melody at the start. Epic. But when Numb hit the place rocked big. Legit argument right there by you. Hate fucking Numb live but the crowd loves it. /not in the majority opinion
  23. Weird that it isn't out yet. I thought it'd be out 1-2 days ago but I guess anytime now. I know there is a legit delay between when Pooch/Dylan are done and they upload it to the Basecamp server versus when Basecamp actually gets around to posting it. For example, in Sunrise last year someone told me to ask Pooch when the South American 2010 DSPs would be up. I forgot but asked him in Tampa, to which he replied "Oh we finished that shit and uploaded it like a week before the Sunrise show...the South American stuff should have been up already." And they were uploaded actually the day of the Tampa show I believe (before I knew about it), so it tells me there is a delay between when they are finished and send it off versus when it actually gets posted. Everyone knows Basecamp is a piece of shit though. Adam blew them away in 2009 for us and also knows they have pretty bad customer service and are slow. So it's probably not Pooch and Dylan's fault here. Hell it wouldn't surprise me if they finished both Rock am Ring and Rock im Park DSPs and were on to Berlin or even Bucharest already. They work pretty fast. Takes only 1-2 days of time (not full days either) to do a DSP. Sunrise DSP for 2011 was finished by the night of the Atlanta show and they didn't even spend a full day working on it.
  24. Right but it was played in Buenos Aires. We are saying two shows in a row. Not one.
