  1. On the 26th, Linkin Park plays their fourth show of the New Zealand/Australia Tour for LIVING THINGS at Sydney's Entertainment Centre (in Darling Harbour). This is the first time in the band's history that they have played the same city twice in one tour with one show being a festival (Soundwave in this case) and one show being a headlining performance. The last shows in Sydney before this tour came in 2010 (show pages here and here, show threads here and here). This show is technically referred to as a "Sidewave" show since Soundwave lists all non-Soundwave shows that that a band plays in Australia between (or just before/after) Soundwave shows as Sidewaves. So far on this tour, Linkin Park has played their Headline Set A in Auckland, the Festival Set A in Brisbane and the Festival Set B in Sydney (at Soundwave). At the Auckland Summit, LPL member troub1eboy was able to get a picture of the Headline Set B for this tour. It is possible (and likely) that Sydney will get that setlist on the 26th. Since the band isn't changing the setlists for this tour (meaning playing other songs than they played last year), the only remaining question for this tour is if there is a Set C. Will we see a Set C at another Soundwave show or at the Melbourne headline show? Counting this show, there are five shows left on the tour for the band to play. Fan favorite (and LPL staff favorite) 'A Place For My Head' opened the Sydney Soundwave show on the 24th to an explosive crowd. The band also stopped 'Points Of Authority' mid-song to help out an fan in the pit. A video of that can be found in the show thread. At the headline show, Stone Sour will open again as they did in Auckland. After this show, the band goes to Melbourne for a headlining show on the 27th and then a Soundwave show there on March 1st. For the full 2013 tour schedule including past dates on this tour with setlists, click here. SETLIST: 01. TINFOIL 02. Faint (Ext. Outro) 03. Papercut 04. Given Up (Ext. Outro w/ Extra Note) 05. With You (2012 Ext. Intro; 2012 Scratch Outro) 06. Somewhere I Belong (2012 Intro) 07. New Divide 08. VICTIMIZED (w/ QWERTY) 09. Points Of Authority 10. LIES GREED MISERY 11. Waiting For The End (Apaches Intro w/ 'UNTIL IT BREAKS' v2 rap; Ext. Outro) 12. Breaking The Habit 13. CASTLE OF GLASS 14. LOATR/SOTD/Iridescent (Ballad Medley) 15. The Catalyst 16. LOST IN THE ECHO (2012 Intro) 17. Numb 18. What I've Done 19. One Step Closer (Ext. Outro) ---------------------------------------------------- 20. BURN IT DOWN 21. In The End 22. Bleed It Out - Setlist picture here courtesy of shadowfax1007. Typo on the setlist with 'New Divide' appearing twice, instead of 'Faint' (which was played) second. - Pooch confirms no DSPs on the tour to shadowfax1007.
  2. The good news is that the crowd is exploding for APFMH and POA lol. People like what they see. LP won't drop the slow stuff for these shows. So many singles in these setlists but at least some great non-singles are surviving. Is it just me or was the Sydney Set B shorter than the Brisbane Set A? Are they the same time-length? One is 20 songs, one is 18 but the 18 had several more songs dropped from it than the 20 (A). Hmm.
  3. Sorry I am the main person who does the show page stuff (puts the info on them besides sources, which Jonas does) and I was out seeing Muse in Florida since Friday. I'll update it all right now. If you have any more corrections post them in the "Submit corrections here" thread and I'll get to it ASAP Thanks.
  4. Glad to hear everyone had fun at the show. Sucks they couldn't do APFMH mid set but I bet at a normal headlining show they would have done it. They consistently throw in songs when massive problems happen mid-show so I would think it'd be safe to assume they could do APFMH normally there. Bucharest had it appear and then San Jose last year had Messenger appear, for example.
  5. Well the DSP site hasn't been updated at all so I don't really know. Vegas doesn't seem to be getting one because of what Pooch and Sean said on Twitter. I would hope so but it's possible they won't do them....I guess it's all up in the air right now. I haven't heard anything about DSPs for NZ/Australia sadly. That's great they changed the setlist - they should keep this set for the other Soundwave shows. Watch the crowd on TINFOIL/Faint in Brisbane versus the crowd on APFMH in Sydney. Yep. Sucks they couldn't restart Points as Chester had riled the whole place up for it lol. Should have dropped WFTE or something and replayed POA. Glad they changed it though. Sorry for the lack of updates on these shows...I was seeing Muse. Should be good to go for the rest of the tour now.
  6. Set B has CASTLE OF GLASS replacing IN MY REMAINS and ITE moved up.
  7. Agreed. I hope they change it up. No slow stuff.
  8. On the 23rd, Linkin Park plays Brisbane, Australia for the first time since 2010, when they opened their Australian Tour for A Thousand Suns in Brisbane (show page here). It will be their fourth appearance in the city since 2001, the others coming at Livid Festival in 2003 and at the last show on the Australia / New Zealand Tour for Minutes To Midnight in 2007 (show page here). A particular highlight from the 2007 show was Chester going pretty far out into the crowd with his cast on to let the fans help him with 'Bleed It Out'. At the last show in Auckland, the band held their 8th LPU Summit and treated fans to a five song soundcheck before the show instead of playing any songs acoustically like most Summits have had. The set for that show remained the same, with 'TINFOIL' and 'Faint' opening. This will be LP's first show in Australia since 2010, when they played nine shows there on the A Thousand Suns World Tour. According to the Soundwave timetable, LP plays from 6:30-7:45 on Stage 1 B, opposite from Stage 1 A where Metallica will play just after them. Right before LP is A Perfect Circle on the other stage. This will be the first of five Soundwave shows for the band, with the others coming in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth. Two headlining shows appear on this tour on 26th in Sydney and the 27th in Melbourne (both with Stone Sour opening). Due to Linkin Park only getting 75 minutes for this show, the set will obviously have to be shortened. Will they play a shorter version of Set A, or will they rotate it and try something different for the Soundwave shows? What do you think? Will they open with a song like 'A Place For My Head', perhaps? The next Soundwave show comes on the 24th in Sydney. The rest of the 2013 tour dates can be found here. EDIT: Thanks to LPL member "troub1eboy", we have a picture of Set B for Australia (from the LPU Summit in Auckland). 'CASTLE OF GLASS' replaces 'IN MY REMAINS' in that setlist as well, and 'In The End' is moved up a few spots. This set is likely to be played in Sydney on the 26th (headline show). SETLIST: 01. TINFOIL 02. Faint (Ext. Outro) 03. Papercut 04. Given Up (Ext. Outro w/ Extra Note) 05. With You (2012 Ext. Intro; Ext. Scratch Outro) 06. Somewhere I Belong (2012 Intro) 07. New Divide 08. VICTIMIZED (w/ QWERTY) 09. Points Of Authority 10. LIES GREED MISERY 11. Waiting For The End (Apaches Intro w/ 'UNTIL IT BREAKS' v2; Wall Of Noise Outro) 12. Breaking The Habit 13. CASTLE OF GLASS 14. LOST IN THE ECHO (2012 Intro) 15. Numb 16. What I've Done 17. BURN IT DOWN 18. In The End 19. Bleed It Out (Ext. Bridge) 20. One Step Closer (Ext. Outro)
  9. The frustration from people comes from Shinoda saying that they were changing the three sets after 2012 for the 2013 tour and then they haven't changed anything. I believe he said new setlists for 2013 and it hasn't happened yet so that's why people are upset right now.
  10. Dead Star is like, the filthiest Muse song in the business. There's not even a Linkin Park equivalent lol. Maybe if they didn't play APFMH since 2002 or something except for 1-2 random times. Hmm maybe not even APFMH can touch it. Two songs is typical for the acoustic thing. Surprised they did full songs and not acoustic though. Cape Town got lucky because it was South Africa, the band needed to do a rehearsal before that show and maybe they decided to really treat those fans to something unique.
  11. Or Moscow Intro into A Place For My Head. I'd take it all day.
  12. Text me when you're in the Tampa area, we'll meet up with you at the show for sure. You have seats or pit? We haven't gotten tickets yet...trying to find a deal. Muse was $45 last time we saw them, now floor is almost $100. Ridiculous. Trying to find something for $50.
  13. I really hope they play it in Miami (Sunrise) this weekend. Oh man.
  14. If you want epic, you need this. They're doing a soundcheck? Wow. Just two songs right now? Instead of acoustic set?
  15. They turn the camera on and actually live stream it for a while, and when they turn it off, the site archives the videos for you to watch whenever you want. It really is live streamed but in bunches as it would be pointless to livestream everyone just standing around lol. So it's like streaming live video updates basically that are archived all day long.
  16. It's definitely not him. Mike doesn't talk like that at all.
  17. I don't think that is the real Mike.
  18. This might be the best live version of Crawling out there lol. Chester forgets the words to The Catalyst. Hilarious.
  19. Yeah they did come to Alpharetta.
  20. No, he is saying that is what he wants them to play. Hmm. Maybe COG acoustic and IMR or something. I'd love a stripped down VICTIMIZED hahaha.
  21. Looking back on this today, it seems the band (well at least Mike, Chester and Brad) enjoyed playing this song way more than most of the setlist at this time during the ATS tour. It was a really unique setlist but the flow to me was kind of weird. Anyway this APFMH performance....wow. Band is really rocking and Mike and Chester seem really into it. Plus the crowd is going fucking nuts.
  22. Pretty much confirmed there's no DSP for Las Vegas. Pooch says he has no idea about one and Sean says the DSP is courtesy of LP fans on YouTube. Interesting. Wonder if they'll do them for Australia/NZ.
  23. The first show of Linkin Park's 2013 Australia & New Zealand Tour for LIVING THINGS takes them to Auckland, New Zealand where they will be playing Vector Arena on the 21st. This is actually the second show of 2013, following the Las Vegas "warmup show" on the 16th (show page here). Linkin Park has been to New Zealand several times before. Their first appearance in the country came at Auckland's Town Hall venue on May 8th, 2001 on the US-to-Europe Tour, which included three shows in Australia as well. The setlist of that show was probably very similar, if not exactly the same, as the show four days earlier in Melbourne (show page here). LP skipped out on a stop in New Zealand in October 2003 when they played three Livid Festival shows in Australia. In 2007, LP announced they were returning to Auckland on October 12th (show page here) and the show sold out within minutes, prompting the band to add a second show the day before on the 11th (show page here). This was the first time the band played two shows at the same venue on back-to-back nights since they headlined Toyko's Nippon Budokan in late 2003. With the band skipping New Zealand on the A Thousand Suns World Tour (even though two shows were heavily rumored and possibly even potentially penciled in for December 2010), this is Linkin Park's first show in New Zealand since 2007. At the last show in Las Vegas, the band played Set A, which opens with 'TINFOIL'/'Faint', but replaced 'IN MY REMAINS' with 'CASTLE OF GLASS'. One of the setlists for that show said "Australia Headline A", so it's possible the band will play this setlist in Auckland, Sydney and Melbourne (the three remaining headlining shows on the tour). Maybe they will change something up though, as 'LOST IN THE ECHO' randomly opened the KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas show last year, so anything is possible! Unfortunately, 'Bleed It Out' was played with no extenders for the first time since 2007. Will the band change up anything for Auckland? Will they debut anything else off of 'LIVING THINGS'? This show also marks the 8th LPU Summit (following London, Sydney, Chicago, Hamburg, Tokyo, Camden, and Cape Town). Adam mentioned on Twitter that they will try to stream the Summit live for the first time, so find that here. It's listed to start at 2:30pm PST / 5:30pm EST / 10:30pm GMT / 11:30am NZDT. The band usually plays two acoustic tracks at the LPU Summit, the last two being 'The Messenger' and 'IN MY REMAINS' in Camden in 2012 (show page here). What two songs do you think they will play in Auckland? Stone Sour will be opening this show. After Auckland, the band will be playing in Brisbane on the 23rd for the first Soundwave show of the year. Six more shows follow after Brisbane, so stay tuned for LPLive for full tour coverage. For the rest of the 2013 tour dates that have been announced already, visit the 2013 tour page. LPU SUMMIT SOUNDCHECK SETLIST: (updated w/ full 5 songs) 01. Points Of Authority 02. 24. Shit it's the 21st already, forgot that they are a day ahead. Time for the preshow post.
