  1. Quite curious how the Mike's singles are so polarizing. Either you love them or despise them. But I really like that he's now a single-focused artist. Contrary to the album-mindset LP had. I always supposed that they had that ambivalent relation with studio
  2. Will be on streaming that day? Hope someone
  3. Except for the omission of a few tracks, they did a great job in that boxset. We don't really need have 16 different versions of papercut with barely any difference between them, even here, where there are the most hardcore LP fans, would have end up bored. Quality over quantity.
  4. Paying homage to the "Live" side of the boxset With You (Live at Ozzfest 2001) Runaway (Live at Family Values Tour 2001) High Voltage (Live in Wantagh, NY, 2001) One Step Closer (Live at Family Values Tour 2001) Also, Part of Me post EP
  5. Well, that's the result of having 10 shows in Germany every tour hahahaha
  6. Seems like the band, despite its good intentions, has a lot of quality control issues. Hope that doesn't affect to the boxset
  7. Any bets about more printing mistakes with the next boxset
  8. Afraid to say that seems a precursor to the Live putrid 2007-onwards
  9. Those videos were on the Meteora warehouse or they just randomly uploaded on YT?
  10. You guys are on fucking fire. Could we said that this was the first time that Faint and LFY appeared, in some form, in the encore?
  11. The best thing about LP is "you don't like this record? You'll have another chance with next one"
  12. Exactly, you're not going to be the lesser of a fan just because you know that everything that your favourite bands do isn't always good. I can't stand One More Light five years later....
  13. Like said @GroundXero above, LP are a very smart band. Besides the musical talent, they adapted to the game better than most of its peers. An album like MTM in 2003 would have been obliterated. Instead, they introduced small hints of experimentation in Meteora, and new how to deal with their label. For starters, we've all heard these days Mike saying how they were trying to find a balance in Meteora between what was expected from them and their experimental side. Hell, when he said in the Stern interview "We told the label to have the first two singles, but eventually BTH has to be a single, trust us". Even a big band like Anthrax shoots themselves in the feet in the 90's for not choosing the right timing in the singles. Even after ATS they knew that, yeah, it's great to do wherever they want, but they can't get lost in the weirdness externally. What do they do? They release Burn it Down, a banger that is totally what's expected from them to gain both new audiences and the ones that runaway with MTM and ATS. Yes, sometimes those outings go wrong (Recharged anybody?). But let's not be naive, you don't stay at the top of the game just making good music.
  14. You're confusing your personal taste with music quality. What a coincidence that all the music you like is good and the music you don't is bad. You don't like it? That's great, nobody obliged you to that, but respect other people's opinions.
  15. I would be interesting, for sure
  16. I haven't seen it that way, but it makes sense
  17. Unpopular opinion, I do like those kinds of questions, sheding some light in the darkest corners. I don't think it makes any favour to portrait Chester to some kind of a perfect angel. He was a human being, with his faults and positives. I mean, some reactions I've seen from the fanbase everytime Chester is mentioned is just... cringe (guys, I don't mean ANY of the members of this forum!!)
  18. Dude, he took no prisoners. Also, very shocked when Mike mentioned that during the early days of Hybrid Theory (probably their 2000 supporting tours) he sneaked out to get wasted
  19. it's very plausible that the studio version of Qwerty ends up on that box set, it's like Cumulus were played live during 2002. In fact, the entire LPU6 would probably be included. Not so faithful though about the entire Summer Sonic show
  20. Anything on vinyl nowadays is really hyped, guess they didn't have those troubles with the vinyl box set
  21. I fully agree with you on that... And with the band. They've stated since the beginning that they were trying to prove themselves and the world that they weren't one hit wonder. That's why the had this little experiments like Nobody's Listening, Hit the Floor or the weird time signatures for FTI. Yes, not the most beloved songs (specially the formers) but IMO, they planted the first seed for bringing into the table things like MTM, without falling too far from the tree. Besides, they didn't had enough power back then to REALLY experiment. I think Meteora had the perfect balance between that comfortable sound and diverse stuff. I fully understand why they cut those three songs. They were great, but too formulaic and they already had similar songs in the album we know. Furthermore, would we be so excited about these songs if they were already released on a LPU CD? Don't think so.
  22. In my mind Session had vocals and that's why I thought we already had 15 hahaha
  23. Now do we have the 15 songs with vocals?
  24. I didn't mean that. I know that they were used to promote the band, and actually provoked that the album was released earlier, thanks to its underground popularity. What I mean is that IF warner were control freaks, they would have try to control every possible channel to promote the band, and may try to stop the demos to be shared.
