  1. Haha no. I'm just a Hispanic girl from Las Vegas who likes good music regardless of genre. This, sadly though, was not good music, in my opinion.
  2. I completely agree with you. Nu-metal is awesome! The heavier, the better. I've been getting into trance and house music (Kaskade, Guetta, Tiesto, Armin) over the last year and I LOVE it. However, I do NOT think LP should start sounding like trance music. I wanna headbang to LP, not rave to it. :/ I'm not against people trying different genres (e.g. Sharon Den Adel from Within Temptation sings with Armin Van Buuren on 'In and Out of Love' and both are amazing). If you're gonna do it though, do it under a different moniker.
  3. I actually came to this thread to say the same exact thing. A lot of people were rocking out to LP up until DBS started playing. Then the booing started and when LP came back on it was like all the LP fans disappeared and everyone just started chanting for Tool. Usually I love Faint because of the crowd energy but this time I felt nothing coming from the crowd during that song. It bummed me out I talked to some of the people around me that were Tool fans and they didn't think DBS was bad. It just didn't fit in with the type of music being played that night. One guy said it was "an interruption" and I have to agree. DBS played great but to plug them in the middle of an LP set like that kinda throws you off.
  4. I won VIP tix through the LPST so I'll be there! So excited for AIC, LP, and Tooooool!!!
  5. I'm going to Greece! Part of the make up for the whole UNLV Vegas show not happening.
  6. FYI The Shinys are scheduled to play at Wasted Space inside the Hard Rock on May 10th. I guess Julien-K was added to the bill recently. http://www.hardrockhotel.com/las-vegas/concerts/
  7. Maybe it's something like Mudvayne's "The Game". Fans that bought that CD get to play this mystery game on their website and I think there's a prize if you solve the mystery correctly. I'm not saying LP will have a game to go with their CD but maybe something interactive on the website like that. Something else Mudvayne did was restrict concert tickets to people who bought the CD. That was really lame, especially in these economic times, and they got rid of it. But that was said to possibly be the future of the music industry or something like that.
  8. I went to LP-HQ and Aaron Ray of The Collective posted something asking Ana to contact him. That means that LP and their management firm are aware of the situation. Hopefully they'll be able to do something to prevent other fansites from being shut down...hopefully.
  9. OMG Everyone needs to chill! I haven't heard it yet but it looks like it's gonna be hilarious. Everyone takes things entirely too seriously. What a negative bunch! Oh and I'm glad there's no pink on the shirt. That's what I was worried about.
  10. Yes that's right. If it's not up yet, it should be up later today. They also played the remix on the air.
  11. Just wanted to let you guys know that I spoke to Mike on the phone earlier and we were on the local rock station X 107.5. You can listen to it on xtremeradio.com under the "1/2-ass music news". Maybe it'll clear up some doubts.
  12. Thank you Hahninator for posting this. I'm not completely sure, but I think the winner of the $4k will be at the meet and greet with me. The guy I met with from Tribal Brands (Verizon's promotional partner) said there would be one other person there (besides me and my friends) and that he was a contest winner as well so I assume that's him. Actually, I didn't have much help from my community. I made like 20 remixes and only passed around 1 and it got 10 listens. So basically I made half of the ones from my school. I did not think I had any chance of winning though so I gave up after I got UNLV high up on the leaderboard. I didn't thank that many people liked LP at my school but everyone is really excited and I've gotten a very positive response so I'm very happy. Yes, they will be checking ID when you receive your ticket and when you enter the venue. They were very adamant about it being only for UNLV students. I have been to some LP concerts before and they've all been AMAZING! My favorite was on March 6th (at the Joint coincidentally) and I thought that was the greatest concert EVER and that nothing would ever compare. But this is definitely gonna top that one! Thanks for the congrats! I will do my best to get some video and I'll definitely have a setlist. Valerie
