  1. lmao Anyways. I plan to buy this thing whenever it does come out. They should re-release all of the main albums.
  2. So much for "DSPs for every major show" lol Couldn't even last until the end of Living Things touring cycle.
  3. Jesus, this would be awesome. I never cared about vinyl really until I got the one in the 'Thousand Suns Box Set' or whatever it was from 2010. It was really cool and it made me want all of their albums on vinyl, lol. On a side (aka sucky) note... The fact that some people don't even know what vinyl means in this context these days makes me realize how old I am. Some kids don't even know anything about records... It's effin nuts how different things were... even 10 years ago.
  4. From everything I've heard/seen, the guy sounds like an ass actually. I mean, honestly, who is so bitter that he can't comment on things from a band nobody cares about anymore (besides a handful of people like us) from the early 90s? That photo is so old school though, and it's nice to have it. Thanks for getting that info out of him... Hope it didn't inconvenience him too much...
  5. -1 I think LP sucked ass on PR08. Their sets and their showmanship. All tours have good and bad shows, but I think this one had way more lackluster shows than most. And yeah, I think the sets sucked ass. I still remember Chester forgetting the lyrics more on that tour than any other that comes to mind. The whole band seemed completely uninterested in what was going on over 50% of the time, and Busta Rhymes, one of the only acts that added some variety to the event, bailed early on. I don't know much about 10 Years, although saying that makes me want to check them out. PR04 was the best. If you've been to multiple PR's you'd know why... It's not just about the show itself, but all of the other stuff. PR is an event, not just a concert, and PR04 delivered in that regard. Not to mention they actually had the bands that were popular among a lot of people. It had a little bit of everything in terms of style, which is what the whole point of the tour originally was. At the time it really was a revolution in a lot of ways, now its just a bland tour that's not too different than any others. Filled with a bunch of intolerant punks with a grandiose sense of entitlement and close minded ways of thinking that continue to bog down music in general.
  6. I enjoyed hearing from someone who isn't a hardcore fan like me for once. Thanks for the cool review, I definitely enjoyed it.
  7. yeah i jumped the gun using that term. But oh well, shortened songs were the thing tonight... and why not? with a shortened amount of time they did what they had to, to fit as many songs as possible
  8. It was only after I threatened to dispute the charge with my bank and take legal ramifications if necessary that they actually gave me what I paid for. But that was early in the cycle with the Rock am Ring DSP... With all the fuck ups they've been having lately, they are likely swamped with e-mails. Basecamp blows. Their technology is clearly years and years behind current standards for music distribution. I'm personally never buying another DSP as long as they are the distributors.
  9. I don't know why everyone is so against medleys. In fact, I'd go as far to say that it's ridiculous. If you see the verse, chorus, and bridge of most LP songs, you've pretty much seen all that the song has to offer anyway. If I get to see Papercut and Lying From You (albeit, shortened) I'd rather have the opportunity to see both songs than one or the other. If we got the opportunity to see songs like Blackout, In Pieces, Easier To Run, TLTGYA, and Figure.09 again in medley form... I'd rather see shortened versions than not seeing them at all... I don't understand why other people don't feel the same way when most of you have bitched endlessly about wanting to see these songs again anyway. I mean, take PR 04, besides fanboys who got on the train post-Meteora, a lot of people think this was the greatest set the band has ever played. (2012 may challenge that, but I'll stick to the point.) Step Up/Nobody's Listening/It's Goin Down (Hip-Hop Medley) was a prominent part of the set. That set would have been far less epic without that inclusion... Who the hell would've wanted to see one out of three as opposed to all three when we've all seen and heard them in full a million times anyway? Such backwards logic from this place sometimes...
  10. Will you all stop calling it a damn mash-up? Was Step Up/Nobody's Listening/It's Goin Down a mashup? No. Are any parts in these two songs mixed together? No. It's a medley, not a mash-up. Collision Course was full of mash-ups. If you can't see the difference, then there is a problem. You look like fools always using the wrong terminology on things, no offense. I understand that it said "mashup" on the setlist, but I honestly think it had more to do with Victimized/QWERTY since the argument could be made that it may be a mash-up... But certainly not LFY/Papercut. I like Set C better anyway, although this one would've been the best if they didn't add Numb back in.
  11. I used to get pissed when you'd pop off at the mouth and ramble on with opinions as if they were facts. But now I can see how much it honestly bothers you how much people liked ATS.. And it must piss off all of the people who couldn't enjoy it. You had to sit around and cry for two years (so about 6 years if you liked Minutes to Midnight; and like 10 if you didn't) with nothing while the rest of us got to enjoy a great album. That must have sucked. Living Things grew on me as I thought it would. I even bump 'Skin To Bone' on occasion. Great album... Here's the order of my favs from most to least. I'll Be Gone Until It Breaks Roads Untraveled Lies Greed Misery In My Remains Victimized Lost In The Echo Castle of Glass Burn It Down Tinfoil/Powerless Skin To Bone

  13. Eff No More Sorrow. I got so sick of that song after hearing it non stop in the live sets for like five years straight... Not to mention it didn't change at all for three of those years. They should just say screw the casual crowds and drop Numb, Breaking The Habit, Crawling, New Divide, What I've Done and company, and keep all of the cool songs we aren't going to hear for sure when album #6 rolls around.

  15. Cool, too bad my theater is not even on the list of theater's to choose from even though it is showing here on the 25th. And then they wonder why people bitch about the LPU... It's cool to pay the money if you can take advantage of their offers, but most of the time unless you have a lot of free time or money, it's simply not worth it...
