So, based on the whiteboard and WFTE's intro, can we assume that Until It Breaks' working title was Apaches, in addition to the others?
-
Waiting until release day. Always have.

Hey, I live a couple hours from Galesburg, I didn't know Adam was from there!
Anyway, these updates are pretty cool, looking forward to more.
-
from Wikipedia....Music Station Super Live 2005–present was (is currently) held at Makuhari Messe Event Hall.
-
Exactly. That was the main issue. It also sounded kind of like they wanted to make it sound like a studio version by cutting out all the background noise. Like the vocals have NO echo to them like a live recording should. My problem with the ATS era DSPs is that the guitars sound SO WATERED DOWN. Like, they sound like soft bass. It's sad. Go listen to 2007 / 2008 DSPs and compare. It's awful.
-
Agreed, I hated not hearing any background/crowd noises during songs, although they seemed to get a little better towards the end. It's hard for me even to enjoy the show I was at because it sounds so.... bland. Excited for the newer ones.Very awesome, I can't wait for the these DSP's.
I hope they gonna sound better than the last ones, but they gonna be cool anyway

What is a good way/software to convert this .mkv file to .mp4 for iTunes?
-
So is this happening....?
-
Also basing mine off of House of Blues, although I haven't heard Tinfoil yet.
1. Faint - ext. OR Session intro; ext. outro
2. Papercut
3. Somewhere I Belong - ext. intro
4. No More Sorrow - long intro
5. With You
6. Given Up - ext. outro / Lying From You / When They Come For Me (Rotate)
7. From The Inside
8. Points Of Authority
9. Blackout
10. Numb
11. The Catalyst
12. Crawling / Breaking The Habit (Rotate)
13. What I've Done
14. Medley - LOATR, SOTD, Iridescent
15. Waiting For The End - Apaches intro w/UIB; Wall of Noise outro
16. In The End
----------------
17. New Divide
18. Burn It Down
19. Bleed It Out - w/ Sabotage, APFMH, drum solo bridge; ext. outro
20. One Step Closer - ext. outro
Tell me Bleed It Out's bridge would not be epic.
Also, I would add APFMH, but I'm trying to keep this as realistic as possible.

Is that With You 4th!?!? I can't tell!

I sent you a bunch.... just making sure you got it.

The Linkin Park song tournament has officially come to an end!
Our winner is....
the 32 seeded The Little Things Give You Away
with a 9-5 win over (8) Faint. It pulled off some upsets, including a win over (2) What I've Done.
Thank you for participating! It's been a fun tournament and maybe I will hold another one sometime, after Living Things comes out.

I think TLTGYA is a great song and I agree that it is MUCH more meaningful and has better lyrics, but it's hard to top Faint in my opinion.
I'm not sure how to end a poll so I'll just say that whichever has the most votes when I check tomarrow morning is the winner.

1. Faint - everything LP is/was known for: lots of guitar, rapping, and screaming. Great overall song that is fun to listen to.
2. Iridescent - one of my favorite slow songs from any band. Great uplifting lyrics, etc.
3. Waiting For The End - like Iridescent, but more upbeat/faster, good lyrics.
4. In The End - the song that really got me into LP, granted it was in like 2007/08; LOVED it back then. Really like the bridge. This will always be one of my favorites.
5. Don't Stay - like Faint, but no rapping. Really like the guitar sound on this song (and all of Meteora for that matter)
6. The Catalyst - Despite the repetative lyrics, I still think this is a really good, high energy song. Like the ending a lot.
7. A Place For My Head - The bridge is just epic. Lots of energy, especially towards the end. Easily my favorite live song, don't like the studio version quite as much.
8. Papercut - Nice blend of rap and rock is what really makes this enjoyable. Not really much to say for this one.
9. One Step Closer - Great bridge, and overall a high energy rock song. 10x better live, but still really good.
10. Figure .09 - Kind of sounds like LP was trying to recreate OSC here. Not quite as good, but still an awesome song.
Honorable Mention - Across The Line, Shadow Of The Day, Bleed It Out.
-
Faint is actually my favorite song, so this is working out well for me.

The Final Four round has come to an end!
FINAL FOUR RESULTS
(8) Faint 4 vs. (5) Waiting For The End 3
(31)The Little Things Give You Away 4 vs. (35) Don't Stay 3
And our championship matchup is set!
(8) Faint vs. (31) The Little Things Give You Away
Also, USE THE POLL TO VOTE FOR THE FINAL ROUND. I will NOT count reply-only votes.
Which song will be LPL's proven favorite Linkin Park song?
I voted for Faint.
-
That was my guess. Thanks!
-
Most setlists list Given Up as having the "short" extended outro.... but I've never seen a "long" one. What is Given Up's long outro?
-
(8) Faint vs. (5) Waiting For The End
(31) The Little Things Give You Away vs. (35) Don't Stay
-
The Elite Eight is over!
ELITE EIGHT RESULTS
(17) Across The Line 2 vs. (8) Faint 5
(13) Leave Out All The Rest 3 vs. (5) Waiting For The End 4
(31) The Little Things Give You Away 4 vs. (39) In Pieces 3
(35) Don't Stay 5 vs. (6) Bleed It Out 2
....and we have made it to the Final Four of Linkin Park songs!
FINAL FOUR MATCHUPS
(8) Faint vs. (5) Waiting For The End
(31) The Little Things Give You Away vs. (35) Don't Stay
We're getting closer to crowing a champion song! It'd be nice if we get some extra votes for the last couple rounds, so if you haven't bee voting, vote!

Are you still going to keep the words "Linkin Park Live; made for the fans, by the fans" at the top?

Badass as it gets. Fuck everything else, play this for a tour and you'll get your "epic live show" reputation back ASAP
Faint twice?
I tend to keep mine semi-realistic and I don't see any chance of With You returning.
1. Faint (new ext intro)
2. Papercut
3. Given Up (ext outro w/ extra note)
4. Somewhere I Belong (long drum intro)
5. No More Sorrow (long intro)
6. From The Inside
7. Points Of Authority (new ext intro w/ Step Up and It's Goin' Down; ext outro w/ There They Go)
8. In Pieces
9. Numb (RAR '04 intro)
10. Burn It Down
11. Blackout
12. Iridescent
13. Shadow Of The Day
14. Crawling (Reanimation intro w/ HHH)
15. The Catalyst
16. What I've Done
17. In The End
----------------
18. Jornada Del Muerto
19. Waiting For The End
20. New Divide (long synth note intro)
----------------
21. Bleed It Out (drum solo intro; ext bridge/outro)
22. A Place For My Head ('03/'04 intro, ext bridge)
23. One Step Closer (gunshot intro 2, ext outro)
-
My guess at the Europe setlist (assuming there's no rotation):
1. New Divide (new intro)
2. Lying From You
3. Papercut
4. Given Up
5. When They Come For Me
6. Somewhere I Belong
7. No More Sorrow
8. Jornada Del Muerto
9. Waiting For The End
10. Numb
11. Iridescent
12. Shadow Of The Day
13. The Catalyst
14. Crawling
15. What I've Done
16. One Step Closer
17. Faint
----------------
18. Burn It Down
19. In The End
20. Bleed It Out (w/ APFMH)
This is not exactly what I'm hoping for; it's what I THINK will happen. I know it looks short, but LP tends to do shorter sets when starting new cycles.
Once the album comes out, I'll say SIB, LFY, Crawling, SOTD, and unfortunately OSC could be eliminated/rotated, in that order. I also think that From The Inside, Blackout, BITS, and Breaking The Habit could come back, maybe rotated.
The song that got you into LP
in Everything Linkin Park
Posted
In The End. Around late 2007-early 2008 my friend started listening to LP and told me about them. I had heard of them, but didn't really know their music. I remember vaguely recognizing In The End and maybe a couple others, but I instantly became hooked on ITE and LOVED it, especially the bridge and ending. I slowly started to like more and more of their songs and today they're my favorite band and I'm a much bigger fan than my friend is lol.
