  1. honestly i disagree with Dave, i respect Dave as a muscian and i love FF, but i will say who cares if bands use backing trackings live? nobody should care, some of the biggest live bands from earlier times Motley Crue (sorry if i spelled that wrong) and Depche Mode use them, and some of the bigger live rock acts from today use them- Muse and Linkin Park, i see nothing wrong with that at all, they can do what they want, and all the bands (except maybe Depche Mode, havent heard anything live or anything about them live) generally sound amazing live, so who cares if they use backing tracks, all of them are great musicians and thats what matters
  2. i don't know about internationally (have no idea how internation album sales for foo fighters are) but in the US Linkin Park has sold more, so i would say LP is bigger at least in the US
  3. just sometime this year, With You please. This is all i ask for, and will be satisfied with just such even if all shows have same setlists, i just want With You
  4. well, it was a good show, LP kicked it live but i will say i was looking forward to rise against more. Im a biggger LP fan than rise against but ive never seen any live performance of rise against so that was the highlight for me (although give it all sounded awful.) As for Linkin Park, they played well and im not surprised they didnt do anything special, i mean it was their first show back and just the Weenie Roast, i figured they would do nothing special (even though i was secretly hoping for With You at the End). There were mistakes but that was understandable, and also Pheonix must not like cameras, lol. Foo Fighters were also awesome
  5. for anyone not watching: Foo Fighters setlist: 1. All My Life 2. Rope 3. The Pretender 4. My Hero 5. Learn to Fly 6. White Limo 7. Walk 8. Times Like These 9. Young Man Blues 10. Best of You 11. Monkey Wrench 12. Everlong
  6. for anyone who didn't watch: Rise Against setlist: 1. Satelite 2. The Good Left Undone 3. Re-Education (Through Labor) 4. Make It Stop 5. Help Is On the Way 6. Prayer of the Refugee 7. Audience of One 8. Architects 9. Ready to Fall 10. Savior 11. Give It All Personally, i think Tim's vocals sound way better on the songs from the two newest alkbums compared to the older songs. His vocals are always good but he sounds way better on the newer songs
  7. My opinion (excluding reanimation, sorry if i forget any) Great: One Step Closer Papercut Crawling In The End Points of Authority Somewhere I Belong From the Inside Numb Given Up Leave Out All the Rest The Catalyst New Divide Breaking the Habit Average: Shadow of the Day Faint What I've Done Bad: Waiting For the End Burning in the Skies Iridescent Bleed it Out
  8. edit: nevermind, i saw it. anyways i will be watching Rise Against, LP, and possibly cage the elephant
  9. i dissagree. i like the fact that that they are evolving but if the made a cd even somewhat like HT, that would blow my socks off! I like the new stuff, but the old stuff is what got me into them, and thats the stuff i like the most and i want them to make another cd like HT (even though it probably wont happen). I would be more happ then ever if they made a cd like HT or Meteora
  10. i agree 100% with this
  11. well to say the least, it wasn't that great. the black and white killed it for me. It was better than WFTE and BITS and a couple videos from MtM but it isn't nearly as good as their old music videos_ Hybrid Theory has great videos, Meteora had amazing videos, Minutes to MIdnight had some great videos and some i could less about but ATS videos (besides the Catalyst) have been a big letdown
  12. great interview, interesting way the tours get put together
  13. What would be cool for them to play: Somewhere I Belong, Points of Authority, With You, In Pieces, Figure.09, Dont Stay, maybe APFMH in full, well a lot of this is unlikely but I can dream xD
  14. i agree on this to me the new music is good music, but they are not the true LP. I do believe the new music is great, ATS and MTM are amazing and im glad they are growing as musicians but i do think the old stuff is better and they were the true LP back then agreed Transformers is good IMO and i agree their old videos are way better. I personally think this looks like its going to be crap, where is the good videos they used to make. I mean Hybrid Theory and Meteora had AMAZING music videos and MTM had some good ones but ATS has had crap for music videos
  15. i agree completely and aother thing when people think of Linkin Park (lets sa a causual fan or something, not people on this website) they think of Chester, so i see no reason why Chester wouldn't be the frontman
  16. dirt off your shoulder/lying from you
  17. sorry for double post, but did we just forget about this? or is their never going to be a second round
  18. i was bored so i felt like coming to a really old thread and post in it, anyways one of my favorite performances ever is Breaking The Habit at Milton Keys (really one of only good performances there and one of LP's best performances ever of BTH if you ask me)
  19. obviously its actually rob, i mean cause clearly since any member that does less than Mike to a lot of people are not frontmans so yeah its obviously rob haha
  20. i think Chester is the frontman, Mike is the rapper. Thats what i think, even if Mike stops rapping he will still be to me The rapper of Linkin Park. Chester may not do as much Behind the scenes but i think of Chester as the frontman Chester has always been the Frontman and will always be the frontman Hybrid Theory: Chester- Frontman. Mike- Rapper Meteora: Chester- Frontman. Mike- Rapper Minutes to Midnight: Chester- Frontman. Mike- WTH happened to the rapper/ singer A Thousand Suns: Chester- Frontman. Mike- Co-Frontman. Even with A Thousand Suns though Chester to me will always be the frontman to me
  21. ill remember Tinie Tempah in 10 yeard Here is what i have to say: MGMT is progressive rock, look it up. Phoenix is alternative rock. And Mumford and Sons is folk rock. All three bands you just complained about are rock, and every single one of thoose three bands is played on every station i know of that plays rock. Also i personally love all three of thoose bands. I like all the bands you listed except avenged sevenfold
  22. it all depends there are different radio stations, where i live i listen to like 9 radio stations. 1 that plays hip-hop/rap, one that plays rock and alternative (they play LP), one that plays hardcore/metal/alternative, one that plays a lil bit of everything, rock, pop, hip-hop, alternative, and some other stuff (they play LP), one that plays hip-hop/rock/pop, one that plas a mix of stuff but plas more rock and alternative in m opinion also plays some pop and some other stuff (They Play LP), and one plays softer stuff, one plays old rock. it all depends on what kinda of station you have where you live.
