  1. Hello guys

I was looking for more information about possible shows of this tour when I found this on the 98Rock (97.9 Baltimore) radio site:

    "Thursday:

    - Plus it's a Ticket Thursday! Win tix to see Linkin Park with Thirty Seconds to Mars and AFI at Jiffy Lube Live on 8/13"

    Link

AFI is A Fire Inside correct?

Jiffy Lube Live was the first date of the 2012 Honda Civic Tour (11.08.2012).

Yup! That's my local station! I love all three bands, despite 30 STM sucking live. I'm very excited. It'll be weird though, since I will have moved from Maryland by then.

  2. What the fuck?! One date?! What kind of tour is that?! This is bullshit, bullshit, bullshit, fuck you, bullshit! If I had one wish it would be to bring every member of both LP and 30STM from their happy holiday slumber in Hollywood with all the other rich people and bring them brought right here with big ribbons on their heads. Then I want to look them straight in the eye and I want to tell them what cheap, lying, no good, rotten, fore-fleshing, lowlife, snake-licking, dirty inbred, over stuffed, ignorant, bloodsucking, dog kissing, brainless, dickless, hopeless, heartless, fatass, bug-eyed, stiff-legged, worm-headed sack of monkey shits they are. Halleujah! Holy shit! Where's the tylenol?

    .... what?!?

  3. It happens, a few dates always leak every year. I wonder when the band will announce the tour. This week or later in March?

I'd have to think Thursday night to build up hype since the they're saying the tickets are going on sale Friday morning. Probably want ppl to sleep on it and get up early to buy tickets the next day.

  4. By all accounts, 30STM puts on awful live shows and Jared Leto is a complete douche. That being said, if they tour with LP, that's a tour I expected to eventually happen and I'd be very excited for it since I'm clearly still stuck in 2005.

EDIT: Didn't they do a short tour together in Europe?

  5. "The company has signed on Linkin Park as brand ambassadors for Infinity. For the next five years, the band's involvement will extend beyond advertising to collaboration in production design. In the end, the newly-formed team should have some co-branded audio wares to show as they've got plenty of time to crank 'em out."

  6. I also think it's stupid for him to kind of ditch out on LP and LP fans for some washed up 90's rock band that hasn't done anything memorable in years, but that's my opinion alone.

That's not really fair. I wasn't aware that he ditched out on LP, but on top of that, STP was one of his favorite band growing up. Of course he'd want to join them. As you can tell from my username, I love the Lakers. They sucked this year. If they offered me the opportunity to replace Kobe Bryant, who is injured right now, I would still jump to take it. Why would anyone turn down one of their life dreams?

  7. Omaze.com has a new contest that allows a winner to visit Linkin Park in the studio this summer. This goes along with the speculation that the band has completed or almost completed work on the score and soundtrack for The Mall and will soon or have recently moved on to work on their followup album to LIVING THINGS.

    The winner receives...

    - You +1 will get VIP access to a live recording session and the chance to win a rare autographed poster or drum head

    - Airfare & hotel included

    - Every entry helps provide necessary services for children and their families recovering from Hurricane Sandy

The contest closes on May 31 and the winner is chosen at random. Good luck!

  8. I'm pretty crushed. I really wanted one more tour out of LP this summer. Working with Music for Relief alone was a great experience, even without considering the portion where you get to attend the concert. I really hope LP hits the states again sooner rather than later.

  9. I'm still holding out hope that it is Linkin Park. I found this because... okay make all the jokes you want... but I'm a big Kelly Clarkson fan, and an Ohio Radio station is advertising information for Maroon 5's "Overexposed Tour" with special guest Kelly Clarkson. Note "Overexposed Tour" and not "Honda Civic Tour"

EDIT: UPON FURTHER REVIEW, THE HONDA CIVIC TOUR IS Maroon 5 and Kelly Clarkson
