  1. It sucks (the recent events, not the forum post) that we even have to discuss this. On one hand, it feels way too soon. On the other hand, people cope in a lot of different ways; some people can't think one second in the future, others try to resolve it immediately.

Selfishly, my preference would be Option 1 with Mike continuing to front the band. Personally, it would be most painful to see Chester outright replaced. That being said, the decision the guys make is theirs and only theirs. They don't owe the fans anything, while they are incredibly fan friendly, we are just along for the ride and I can say for my part I support their solution 100%, even if I might not like it.

  2. I've never had so many people reach out to me about anything, and that includes when I got engaged. I felt so sick sharing the news with Mark and posting it in the user submission forum. A day later, everything just feels empty.

I saw Incubus last night in Camden, the same venue where I met many of you as well as Chester for the first time 5 years ago. It felt so wrong returning there, and I wish I had skipped the show. At least Brandon dedicated "Wish You Were Here" to Chester. I'm sure I'll have more thoughts. This is all I could string together right now.

  3. Nice meeting RogueSoul and Lakers. Great event and great memories. So happy the band did this for the fans and what a unique venue at that.

Hopefully there will be some decent photos that we can download as I was too far back to get decent ones.

I'll defin cherish my signed HT cover signed by Mike and Brad.

Haha that's actually exactly what I did, still fucked it up :P

Great meeting you and Lakersfan too! Had a cool little LPLive group there. See you guys at future shows! :)

Great meeting you both and I look forward to seeing y'all again at future shows!

  4. Bad stuff all around. Like you said, the band isn't to blame. But I do wish their management had chosen better partnerships and thought this through. Previous LPU presales ran fine, and LPU members are probably the MOST likely to buy tickets to multiple shows. Limiting them to one in the presale just hurts them, and probably does more to get tickets in the hands of scalpers. A lot of people didn't get their codes, Strobe updated line positions slowly, and then tickets being limited to just 2 instead of 4 yesterday caused a lot of disasters for people.

I got my tickets to all my shows, so it's easy for me to be happy, but that shouldn't happen for the reason that I have a Citi credit card. It should happen because I'm an LPU member. The only lesson I learned from this was have a Citi card and have an AMEX just in case because that gets preference from Live Nation too.

  5.

lol saving is one thing but taking off all those days to travel is another! god bless

Thank you! I've also been good about not spending off days. First 6 shows I can drive to after work, no time off. I will be flying out to California though.

Also, how have we gone about trying to guess Summit dates in the past? I think people mentioned an off day in a direction was key, but not sure if it was the day before or day after.

  6. @lakersfan13 13 shows ?? :o All because your nummer is 13 XD

    YES, sorry, $125ea

and are you seriously going to all those shows?!

Lol guys, it is a little excessive. I will admit that. But I've also been anticipating this tour and saving for it for the last couple of years. Uncasville, Dallas, OKC, Lake Tahoe, and Vegas, I am not buying tickets for unless I see there are multiple sets. The other 8, I am 100% doing. I'm also fortunate that 311's dates don't conflict with these ones, or else I'd be dealing with more difficult decisions.

  7. Again, I'm just speculating here but:

-Unless the Harrisburg and NYC dates are added outside the current dates, 7/29 and 8/4 are the only open dates that make sense in terms of routing and avoiding 3 shows in a row (which they aren't doing)

-Blink is playing Lolla 8/4 (in Chicago)
-Fall Out Boy has a show at Barclay's (Brooklyn) already scheduled

-Playing with Blink in NYC on 7/29 and Fall Out Boy in Harrisburg 8/4 are within the realm of possibilities, given the little we know, and the potential of a second news drop. I wonder what the venues would be. MSG is booked up both of those nights. Barclay's? Red Bull Arena?

  9. I know I've asked this before but is there any new insight into when these dates will be announced?

I was expecting today so here's to hoping as the day isn't even close to over.

We're not gonna get the dates until the day before the presale, most likely. As of now that should be 5/8, but I'd be shocked if it didn't get pushed back a week.
