Wow, I'm so blown. I went to my student advising appointment for 15 minutes, and in the meantime the password got out and it sold out. Wouldn't have been a problem if word got out on time.

If someone got an extra ticket and is looking to sell it, let me know. I'm going to try for the regular sale now, but I'm not too optimistic.

LOL at this thread. People, calm down.

 

1) They are not used to performing songs from ATS. This will be their first time trying them out.

 

2) Shorter setlist could just mean less songs. Doesn't mean they'll only play for an hour and peace out. More time for crowd interaction and / or awesome transition / intro and outro stuff.

 

3) When you are actually there at the show, seeing Linkin Park live, you are not gonna be whining about it. You will be having the time of your life.

Exactly. I, for one, have no complaints. Obviously I would prefer a longer setlist, but I'll still be just as happy to see my favorite band debut their new album in concert. It's going to be a great experience. My guess is that they'll play ATS in its entirety followed by a few "greatest hits" aka In The End, Faint, One Step Closer, Bleed it Out. That might be whole setlist there, and I'd be okay with that.

Tickets aren't free for the LPU?

I'm a little embarrassed to admit that I've never joined. But it does say on the website that LPU members and then people who pre-order A Thousand Suns will have the first chance to purchase tickets, so I'm assuming they won't be free.

Maybe for you. Cheapest I can find is $179 round trip, not to mention cab fare and whatever else. Looks like NYC is only 8.5 hrs from me, so $100 round trip for gas. I might just drive up afterall, who wants to help out with gas and I pick you up on the way? lol

Definitely going if I can get tickets. Only a 4 hour drive from DC.

The first thing I thought of was Webster Hall as well. I think that I'll have to make the drive up if I get a chance to buy tickets before it sells out.
