  1. They don't have to call in a new singer, if their mutual descision is to go on with Mike as main vocalist. They could have guests ofcourse. There are so many ways to honor and implement Chester during live shows. Mike could re-arrange certain songs to make them fit him. Like how the Final Masquarade acoustic version had Mike more as co-vocalist, while the studio version is basically Chester. Mike could do that to various songsOther songs could feature Chester on a screen or just at playback with fans filling in the parts, like how Miek just pulled the mic to the crowd during In The End this past tour. Overall I think if they continue this will be a new chapter, they basically have to start from scratch, while also having a big legacy, with shoes they never will be able to fill. So I really expect them to go on a new course, with the legacy being enough honored. I wonder if they would be even comfortable enough to let in a new singer. But we'll see.
  2. Honestly I will support them no matter what. If LP has proved anything it is that the possibilities are endless. Thei discography is so diverse. I kinda want the next step to be an album to honor Chester. A real creative fundament for who he was, what he stood for etc. If I remember it correctly they talked some months ago about recording too much material to fit on OML or hinting at material or whatever. There are probably also still enough recordings left from past album eras. I wouldn't mind them actually (ofcourse if Chester's family would agree) would release a record that features a few old recordings of Chester/LPs himself, some Reanimation-esque remixes of past album tracks by people who admired/praised him, aswell as LP recording a handful of new songs to honor Chester. I can't imagine what the future will hold, currently living a day a time
  3. I am still in a confused space currently. When I heard it, I was still at work, and even though I am not allowed to carry my phone with me, I had it with me, secretely I was just looking to see if I had messages and saw I had like 200 messages. I first thought it would be work related since we always have these group what's app messages where people try to switch shifts etc. But it was something else, it was the group with LP fans. And my mother. Time literally stood still. I couldn't believe it, and still in shock went to bed. When I woke up, I felt sick. I still couldn't believe it. I had a day off, and cried the whole day. Reading the posts on this forum and talking to LP fans really helps to overcome this sadness and frustration. Chester was really a one of a kind guy. Someone who could make you feel special, without him even knowing you. When I briefly sproke him back in March during the Up and Close event. I was so damn happy, and felt so fortunate. He was so friendly and genuine. Something that most stars could learn something from. LP in general always has been more than music. The fanbase is like a family. And that is why I also want to thank everyone here. Because even though I had periods where I was completely M.I.A. and times where I was here almost every day, I felt welcome. I have seen a lot of heated discussions on here, but it was just genuine conversations and people respect eachother. And that are qualities that I sadly don't see enough in real life at work etc. I don't even know where I am going with this all, but I am grateful that Chester and the guys created a foundation with their music for us all to be who we are, to inspire us, and to find friends, love and happiness. I hope Chester found his peace. He will never be forgotten. His memory and legacy will live on, aswell as his kindness and the lessons he taught not only us, but also his peers and other artists.
  4. I have may not always been 100% positive about the album. But I enjoyed it since it is out. But sadly the events have shed a totally different light on the tracks. We were listening to pieces of his mind, he was literally dancing with his demons, sadly enough. I hope he found his peace.
  5. Interesting, never heard of those people before,I must admit.
  6. Corey is right. I mean LP as the balls to do whatever they please. Some people will hate it, some will love it. I mean after the initial reaction, people shoudl just move on, they have a pretty diverse discography, including the LPU albums, so there is enough material to fall back on. Just ignore the era and move on and wait till the next round. I don't get why there is still that weird following that has no better things to do than scream 'Bring HT back'
  7. Had an amazing day yesterday. I was at the venue around 6:30 in the morning and ended up front row, so it was worth the wait. The show was amazing. It was a bit annoying that all the press people were swarming during Talking To Myself, made the filming a little bit difficult at points Since this was my 2nd ever concert by them (last one was the Concert in the same venue in 2014), it was great to see some songs finally live like Breaking The Habit, From The Inside etc. and ofcourse the One More Light tracks. The tracks of OML translate so much better live, that I honestly need a proper live album of the record, because I don't even wanna go back to some studio versions after hearing the live versions I literally saw Chester smiling during Battle Symphony when he noticed that the crowd in front of him knew the words to the song. The energy in the crowd was amazing, I literallly couldn't stop smiling when the show was finished.
  8. I wouldn't mind a Repackage with a few new tracks, the album is pretty short to begin with.
  9. Thanks I will add mine tomorrow
  10. Never knew that, too bad I wasn't so commited to the internet those days and didn't had a creditcard, so I had to depend on my parents
  11. Sharp Edges is my favorite of the day
  12. The boxset just arrived and I love the book and how they included the CD in it, nice collector's item to have. Even though I wish ATS had such Boxset aswell
  13. Amazing performances. Awesome to revisit some of them after a long time. The recent OML performance was beautiful
  14. I must say lyrically this album is growing so rapidly on me, a lot of the topics describe what I have been through the last few years.
  15. really shocked when I heard this
  16. I listened to it various times now, and I keep being torn. I like the record, but a few changes could make me love it. Without the chipmunks, the predictable 'breaks' etc. and some inclusion of maybe some proper strings etc. in some songs, better mixing and the guest appearences being gone, I think this would be already a much better album. Myabe it is a really hard grower, I will give it some more spins, but I can't believe I having a hard time getting into a LP record
  17. Just heard it, at the first listen it gives me exactly what I expected it to be. Idk if that is positive or negative currently. The production feels so hot-at-the-moment that I sometimes can sing 5 different hot 100 top 10s from the last year over some songs. I have said it in some of the threads of the released/performed songs, but yeah I keep wondering how they had these co called deep conversations and ended up with a rather lackluster production for those personal lyrics. I get that for them this sound is new territory and I don't mind them experimenting, but in this case I really wanna be the fly on the wall to see how the production of the album was created. Because you can't tell me this chainsmokers sound is something they aspired to create. My favorite tracks are currently Talking To Myself and Battle Symphony. Even though I enjoy Sorry For Now, that tired *ss 'break' makes me like the song less, because it has been done so many times already by various artists.
  18. Really cool and unexpected, They sounded great from the footage
  19. I can't believe it is already 10 years
  20. Pretty short album length, but expected, I probably read too much in it. But yeah this era feels just like one big trollfest it's not even they went full hot-for-the-moment pop, it's just odd how they basically became what they so called 'hated' and 'feared' for last era. I am all for the best songs making the cut and quality over quantity any day. But something just doesn't add up. They are so oddly proud about everything this era, it feels even more enthusiastic than they were last few eras. Yet creativily this feels like the lowest they have gone. Just thinking out loud. I mean it's not even that I dislike the music, I actually enjoy it weirdly enough so far. But yeah something doesn't add up, it's like I expect to see a paper inside every album booklet that says 'You're Punk'd' or something
  21. Even though the live version of Talking To Myself is my favorite thing from this era so far, this one is my favorite studio track so far. I can't say I dislike any track actually
