This is just awesome. I love that it's lengthy, I love that it's different, I love that it's deep, I love that it's seemingly intellectual. I'm amazed so far.

I remember on the 6 track sampler that there was one song (I think #5) which the author said had Chester repeating the line "I'm Losing What I Do not Deserve." He said it stood out from the rest of the tracks on the sampler. I wonder which song from this tracklist is that song. Not enough information to figure that out for sure I guess.

I'm thinking this is Iridescent, especially since the Sounds of A Thousand Suns had a clip of a band member saying "the way it gets loud." I think they were referring to that.

Do some people seriously not like the cover? I think it's pretty amazing. Their second best album cover, so simplistic and yet so interesting. Only bested because HT has the HT soldier on it, which may be the most awesome thing ever.

+1. I thought the MTM album cover was pretty bland. This one is kind of cool to me.

What? We made this as fair as possible. We closed registration and did a poll. How users vote is up to them. If someone wants to vote just for their site one then let them but we'd rather them vote based on quality. We tried to eliminate all bias - we didn't say in this thread who the winners from each site were, we closed the registration down, etc. We are not advertising which one is the LPL winner at all. I am trying to make this very fair.

 

The way the LPT poll works has nothing to do with LPL. Our jurisdiction on this only reaches as far as our site...

I don't see how these votes can be fair. It is obvious that LPL members are voting for the submission from our community, even though it may not necessarily be the best.

I bet every site is going to have their submission as the winner.

My vote goes to Toxicbszone simply because it is the best.

I don't think that's an accurate snippet. In fact, I don't think all those are meant to be played at the same time.

It sounds to me as if those are just stems from different segments of the song, or atleast at different lengths so if all played at one time it misrepresents the proper layering of the track.

I don't think this is what we'll hear August 2nd.

The site is horrible, I have gotten 0 songs to play all the way through. As far as the music, I think I like it but I've only got to hear scattered seconds of it.

It'd be cool if they released the multi-tracks, and like a basic program to let fans remix the songs themselves... as like some 10 year anniversary thing.

So, the code translates into:

I mean.... I can name some bands that actually recorded new music in the past 3 years.

That's part of the problem. Instead of making new music, someone found a way to take something fans were already doing, do it better, and put it out, and no new music.

Since we subscribe to them, essentially, we are subscribing to things we don't necessarily want. I don't remember anyone asking for 100 dsps.

So the sentimental value attached to our show trading is undermined by an attempt to make money. Because, whether or not they put these out, fans would still record them. Ultimately, we are the ones being taken advantage of because probably 85 percent of those sales are gonna come from dedicated LP fans.
