    12. Blue

  2. The instrumentals on this LPU were a little disappointing compared to previous ones (like Pale, Halo, etc.). My favorite tracks this time around are Asbestos and So Far Away.

Asbestos has an awesome flow to it even if Mike is kind of rapping in circles (you know...not really saying anything). I really wish they would have finished this one. Chester could have had a great freak-out chorus in the same vein as Victimized or Blackout.

So Far Away further proves that A Thousand Suns was more like pre-Hybrid Theory album Linkin Park than we would've at first guessed. Some structure variation, Mike singing, etc. It joins Blue, Slip, and She Couldn't as songs that I really didn't expect were made by Linkin Park during that time period. Awesome song.

  3. One Step Closer got me into LP 12 years agoo and I've been a fan ever since. Though Hybrid Theory has lost some of its appeal since I was 8 years old, it will always be the album that got my lifelong love of music started. Thanks Linkin Park for making amazing music for me to grow up with and here's to many more great albums from one of my all-time favorite bands.

  4. This is how I feel about Pictureboard. Obviously the band cannot release it since of the copyright. We all know Mike has it, he probably has every single piece of music the band has recorded somewhere. But I don't get why the band can't remove the sample and release it. But I guess maybe that the whole song uses a sample or something. No clue.

Even if he has the song somewhere, he may not actually have the multi-track/recording session anymore and therefore can't just remove the sample.

  5. Only problem with that mashup is that while Given Up is played in Drop D Tuning, Faint is played in Db.

Unless you'd want a long pause in between while Brad and Mike grab different guitars this wouldn't work out so well.

They could just play Given Up a half-step lower or Faint a half-step higher.

  6. As you said, What I've Done/New Divide would work extremely well.

A-Six into Lies, Greed, Misery would work if Brad didn't have to play the samples on LGM. I think that could be really cool.

I'd also like to see the return of (or a new) hip-hop medley. Maybe they could play part of Fuse if they did this.
