  1. Bandmerch is redoing the LP and LPU stores. For some reason (and I really have no idea why), they went live before the bugs were all fixed. THIS is why stuff like DSPs, new LPU/LP websites and 8-Bit take forever to release... we don't want to release stuff that isn't as quality as possible. Hopefully they fix everything soon.

  2. They probably don't describe the album with more detail because if they did and they happen to change that aspect of the album before its released, you guys would be like, "OMG they suck! They said it was going to sound like a mix of the outro of Papercut mixed with the extended long version from the show in 2006 of Faint but it totally sounds like the 2008 super extended long version of faint. Total bullshit!"

    Just sayin.

  3. If you would have bothered to do some damn research instead of getting your panties all up in a bunch, you'd know that the DSPs are LPU-exclusive for the first 2 weeks and were announced as such quite a while ago.

And I can access the DSP site just fine? It's the first news post on the LPU homepage...

It went live literally 5 minutes ago....

  4. See:

It seems Adam WAS in front of a monitor!

    I'm always watching...

This was an error on the company who hosts this stuff. Hopefully we'll launch tomorrow, but no promises. Don't bug me tomorrow on Twitter and ask me over and over again when we'll launch. We'll launch when we launch. It will be exclusive to lpu for 2 weeks.

  5. Update #1 directly from Pooch and Dylan...

No festivals were recorded. Those don't exist.

Still trying to figure out about the others.

Here's what I'm starting to get the idea about this though. The shows that weren't recorded weren't recorded because they weren't allowed to be. Either the festival, promoter, venue, etc didn't allow it. So it's not LP or the labels fault those weren't recorded.

I'll let you know when I know more.

  6. I know you guys are bummed, but hopefully this will be a really good thing for LPU. We're going to offer LPU memberships as an add-on and also offer trial memberships to everyone who purchases a show. As I've told you guys many times in the past, the more we can grow LPU, the better YOUR experience will be.

  7. I love to say this:

    I TOLD YOU SO

hey Adam you should have told us like 2 months earlier

LPLive will be a riot, great.

Not sure why you guys assumed we'd release shows we didn't release earlier anyway...

And I didn't know until like yesterday.

  8. Sweet. Thanks. No price as of yet?

Less than $10 per show, buy 5 get one free.

btw, I already spoke with Mark and I know the shows you guys are hoping will be included. Unfortunately I don't think they will be. Why? I have no idea. I'm trying to find out what happened to those shows because I know you guys really want them. This is going to include shows that were previously sold on tour from 2007 through 2009. Thought I'd let you guys know so you don't get your hopes up for those missing shows. Believe me, I'm looking into it though to see if I can find out what happened to them or if they were ever even recorded.

  9. Question. Is the DSPs or whatever there calling them exclusive to LPU or is it going to be done like it always has been aka download from LP site with code lala.

LPU members will be able to download the DSPs for 2 weeks before anyone else AND at a discounted price. Then, it will be open to the public.

  10. I guess but I mean hell, I thought the shit was heavily fucking implied it was for the entire LPU. When you say LPU, I don't think you are referring to 30 in one city, 30 in another and 30 in another. Uhh, what? That's not the LPU. That's like 1/100000th of the LPU or even smaller. Weird. I assumed the same as you but I was like 110% sure that was a totally SAFE assumption.

You can't ever tell with any wording by anything released by LP management. The wording is ridiculously loose and can mean almost anything. "NEW UNRELEASED SONG" could mean anything. A song just written, a song written before and just now released, a song written before and edited recently and just now released, etc. "LPU BETA TEST" I guess could mean entire LPU, 1 LPU'er, 100 LPU'ers or 10 LPU'ers.

"8-Bit Rebellion is on the way, but before it's released to the public, we want LPUers to test it out! Details coming SOON!"

That's not "heavily implying" anything. We want LPUers to test it. LPUers are going to test it. In no way can you take that and make it seem like a "heavy implication" that every single LPUer all over the world is going to be able to test the game. I've said it a million times, you guys read way too much into things. People were getting pissed when Mike said the album might now be out until later in the year because they swore his statements previously were saying with complete fact and certainty that the album would be dropping exactly at a certain time. Jesus, gives us a break. I try to keep you guys in the loop with everything we're working on and read your feedback and do everything I can to make your experience with LPU great, but it just seems like you guys are almost impossible to make and keep happy. We do way more than almost any other fan club and trust me, if we could make it so all of you could test the game, we would. Sorry you don't all live in LA or that we don't have offices in every city in the world so we can always make everyone happy all the time. It's not as easy as making a single phone call to every city with an LPUer in it and making shit happen. It doesn't work that way. The company making the game has offices in LA, Hong Kong and Berlin, so that's where people are testing the game.

By the way, we're also STILL trying to work something else out so more people can test the game. I'm sure that won't make everyone happy either, but at least we're doing the best we can.

    /rant.

  11. Yes we're working on putting together events in Berlin and Hong Kong as well. We're doing these cities because the company who created the game has offices there. We're still trying to work out one more thing to try and include more members from around the world, but I won't have more info on that for a little bit.
