  1. mike's laughπŸ‘ŒπŸ˜‚
  2. "mike, do you have a favourite song from the album? if so, why do you like it?" mike: "i like my babies all the same" hahaha i love that so much
  3. now that i've been listening to the album on repeat for almost a week, i figured i'd finally gather together my ranking of the album as well. first things first, fucking amazing album, i'm beyond happy with this one. while it is short (too short imo), the fact that i wouldn't skip any of the songs makes up for that. the whole album has been a constant loop in my ear this past week, and i'm not sick of it whatsoever . it does a great job at mixing around several albums, and at the same time, it has a completely new feel. it's been tricky to decide how i'd lay out my choice of the songs, and obviously overtime it may still change. i'll also be able to see them live for the first time next year, (which i'm majorly excited for) and that too could alter my decision. here's what i've chosen for right now: 0.1 good things go (my absolute favourite right off the bat) 0.2 two faced 0.3 overflow 0.4 IGYEIH (overflow and IGYEIH are very close tie to me at the moment, though) 0.5 HITC 0.6 cut the bridge 0.7 stained 0.8 TEM 0.9 OEO 0.10 casualty 0.11 from zero (intro) (obviously the intro doesn't really count) final note: honestly, HITC has more meaning to me than TEM. mainly with the release of the rest of the album, i prefer quite a few of the other tracks over it. when TEM was released, i full-on loved it, and of course i still do. however, HITC was the song that really knocked the full picture of lp being back into my brain, where i didn't have that at first with TEM. i don't know, that's just an extra bit that makes the song stick with me more. lastly, i know, i know, with casualty, i feel like people either love it a lot or don't like it much at all. that's what it's seemed to me, anyways. (please don't come for me if you're in the middle of that spectrum πŸ˜‚). after i began to listen to the song more, i have liked it better, but it just isn't a song i vibe to all that much. mike's vocal style also sounds very different than it ever has in that track, which i can't decide if i love or dislike. in other words, i think i still need more time to adjust to casualty.
  4. oh good, they finally released more merch. every apparel-related item they originally had (that i would actually purchase) for the past few months were sold out in my size
  5. good to know. i'll probably just end up tuning in on the youtube livestream so i don't spend forever messing with the the globo stuff, thanks for verifying!!
  6. "Linkin Park's stream can be accessed via their YouTube channel", so are they going to livestream it through youtube as well, or will it just be linked (the globo stream) on their channel?
  7. the MV is so silly...mike and emily are adorable
  8. that's amazing, made my day 😭😭😭 fourth song that they released before the album - man, they can't wait any longer for the official release 🀣
  9. I'M BEYOND FUCKING EXCITED FOR THIS!!! i'll definitely be at the raleigh show, so so so lucky that they're going to be right where i live. (great to see that grandson is the opener for that show too!) going to be an absolute wonder of a tour
  10. mike's little laugh when he got the jacket stuck on him πŸ‘Œ it's sick how they've been incorporating physical "items" or effects if you will into the album art and photos, i really enjoy that
  11. damn damn DAMN the list keeps growing. i'm literally under twenty minutes away from the arena in raleigh... lost my freaking MIND this afternoon when i saw that posted on the list!!! never attended a lp show, so i'm really hoping it'll be on a day i can go to. should be easier to get a ticket (all things considered), mostly because the US shows don't normally sell out completely or quickly. can't put into words how much it'd mean to me to go 😝
  12. i remember two months ago when they announced the album, now here it is, here we are listening to it. in my opinion, the fact that the album is so GOOD makes up for how dang short is it. it's incredible, and has gone over my expectations as far as comeback standards go. i listened to it late last night by myself - cut the bridge, casualty, and two faced had me going strong. loving the energy, though, i'm really not the biggest fan of casualty. i've never had a problem with the more screamy and loud lp songs, this one just didn't really hit well with me. i don't like it all that much...however, two faced has been playing in my head all day today, emily's chorus is so catchy. meteora is practically radiating off of the whole song. HITC and TEM, of course, they require no explanation. while i do prefer some of the other songs in FZ over TEM for instance, it was still such a solid start, i'm beyond grateful that they chose it as the lead single. honestly, two faced could easily have replaced OEO as singles go...but i don't mind it now since the entire album is here. i went through it in order, and considering the fact CTB was the first song i hadn't heard yet, i had a good feeling right off the bat. before listening to it though, i knew i was going to love it either way - linkin park has never failed to please me. i'm not picky when it comes to a majority of the songs throughout the entire catalog, and i've been flexible with all of the types of songs they've experimented with. so in this way, i immediately had no problem with the album. i love love love LOVE the vibe of overflow and stained. overflow is a nice change/mix up to follow after casualty. stained mixes well with their more pop-sounding style. sort of like living things in a way. about that, LT and ATS have always been my favourite albums, but i've got to say FZ is teetering in between the two. i mean, what an album. i don't know how to describe how much i adore it. good things go has been the most outstanding for me. i knew before listening to the album that i was likely going to be be an emotional wreck afterwards, which is partly why i chose to be secluded when i gave it a listen 😝. mike and emily vocals on this one...they're so outstanding. GTG is a spectacular finish - probably my favourite song on the record at the moment. the style of the song is just wow, it sounds so unique and settled so well with me. lp can nail any style kind of song. it quickly adopted a sentimental feel, which isn't bad, i like the mix of loud and soft songs in the lp world. (additionally, it's funny to me how the whole album technically loops, since the end of GTG transitions back to the intro. i've always got a huge kick out of their song transitions. the intro is kind of cute in a way, whoever is asking about the song title just adds a funny little start to the album.) gotta end it by saying how lucky we are to have emily in the operation. she's not chester, she's emily. i will always absolutely love chester, chester is lp and will always be lp, and emily fits right in. never had a problem with her, and when all of the hate and controversy was circulating about her, i simply ignored it. same for colin - i've easily welcomed them. everyday i'm beyond grateful to have linkin park in my life, so this new era has meant the world to me. and kudos to mike...come on...the man is still killing it out there and has been for what, twenty five something years now - additionally with fort minor and his solo projects. (he's my favourite part of lp πŸ™ƒ) so much respect to those guys, to mike, chester, emily, phoenix, brad, joe, rob, and colin...linkin park is so so so fucking back, i really appreciate everything their music is and has done for me. all i've got left to do, hopefully, is attend a show
  13. nashville is the closest location to me as any of the shows have been so far, let's really hope the tease is true! 🫣 EDIT: take that back, the SC show is actually closer πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™ EDIT #2: haha nevermind, the raleigh arena is sixteen minutes away from me. the list keeps growing
  14. let's go all for nothing! i'm ready for a change in the setlists not going to lie, so hopefully we get to hear that me too πŸ–οΈ
  15. shoot, i'm going to be on a trip on the only day that listening parties are offered near my location 🀦
  16. colin being put on the spot πŸ˜‚ everytime i watch the entirety of linkin park act so chill in interviews just blows my mind
  17. "the list was short, you know, it's limited - there's only so many great cities...so we're coming to dallas πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ"
  18. sick video, it really is remarkable to watch the processes with the MVs! the story for the MV is interesting, and not to mention that i absolutely love emily's energy with all of this, in every episode, it's so nice to see - i don't know how else to put it
  19. gotta love a good zoetrope
  20. back with my opinion on this one. it'd be a lot to wrap my head around what everyone else's point of views are about OEO, and i'm just going to be straightforward with my thoughts. i can't turn it down, really. while i adore a linkin park song with strong verses from mike, i'm not afraid to say i'm still pleased with this one being led by emily. i think she carries it well, i mean she goes great with the overall sound of the band. like others, i agree that it doesn't mark the spot quite like it has for me with TEM and HITC. either way, i like that it's a step down from the overall vibe of the first two singles, which are loud and heavy songs. personally i love the lyrics on this one as well. it's definitely giving off a mix of multiple albums... but being that i am a huge fan of living things, i do love the "electronic" blend with the guitars. one of my favourite things about most linkin park songs are the layered sounds that they have - with this one, i don't think it has so much of that. however, i'm not opposed to that, i think that it just makes the song feel a little more simplistic in that way. from first listen, i give it a 7/10. one other thing that stood out to me was the fast pace feeling of the song, OEO does move quick. i'd say it's short but sweet - before you know it, the song is over. i would add that the fact that this one is a single does seem a bit odd to me, mainly because it's not as hooking as the first two. not that it needs to be, though, i really do like this song how it is. (mainly because i'm usually very chill with lp's experimental songs, sometimes i can't get myself to think about them with more of an intent look or attention to detail 😭) it doesn't seem like the most fitting song for a single, but i have yet to completely judge this until the album actually releases.
  21. still catching up on the info about the new song since i’ve been fairly busy, and so i spontaneously decided to wait until thursday to listen to the song once it’s formally released - going to come back then and share my opinion
  22. absolutely wild, i can't be surprised
  23. no seriously πŸ’€πŸ™ i noticed that quickly too, essential reasons why we need brad.
