  1. you're very lucky, anyone who got to see chester is it's probably a pretty (or, definitely) different experience for those who got to see chester previously that are now seeing the new lineup as well versus those like myself who saw them/are seeing them for the very first time. i actually have a bad habit of frequently reading stories on here from when others saw chester years ago, easy to say i'm quite envious of you guys as well (not in a bad way, really) so it's very interesting to me. it's cool to read other's recent experiences and previous ones!
  2. man enjoy the show you guys!! and super impressive write up by the way, i've said that plenty of times i'm sure but it definitely applies to this one.
  3. duuuuude this is so true, love that you guys mentioned this
  4. dude, exactly. exactly exactly exactly the pit was so fun to watch from where i was at, it was great to watch people join in & neither me or my friend who i went with had been to a concert before β€” she seriously loved watching the pit. and yeah, holy crap it's so great that this happened to be the show i could attend because that setlist was probably one of their best so far. i wanted to hear FTI so bad and i was jumping when it started playing β€” yeah gotta say stained sounds SO good live, i hadn't noticed the harmonizing nearly as much in the studio version and it sounded incredible in person. yeah, that set though. fucking rocked. i think i hit a few people around me by accident since i was moving around so much in the seating area, i can only imagine how alive the floor was, i didn't pay attention to it a whole lot πŸ˜‚ my arms have been sore all day today. the whole show was crazy, emily joining the crowd was sick too, the energy made me so happy. i sat in the venue after the show for ten minutes because i was stunned. so incredibly great that they're doing all of this again
  5. nah, totally agree. definitely noticed it, it is somewhat sad/unfortunate since there's not much we can do about it. don't really think you're getting the full or best experience if half of it is you following your phone with everything they're doing. i never touched my phone during the show, it was funny because afterwards i was wondering if i should've recorded something, but i'm really glad i didn't. much more of an enjoyable moment without stressing about that (plus phone storage/recording usually stresses me out in general, my camera sucks butt), but yeah it is a bit unfortunate since your show only happens once. you gotta live in that moment & yeah, still like you said, it's great to be able to watch or rewatch it on youtube (especially if you weren't at the show) β€” but the rest of that still stands πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ
  6. thanks for sharing the m&g story, honestly i love reading those so much. great write up as well man!! i'll be at the show, so insanely psyched since i've never been to a concert or seen lp live before (still feels weird to think that i'll be there) β€” really cool that it happens to be on emily's birthday too, hopefully we might get to see something different in celebration of that!!
  7. definitely the same with me, i get weird enjoyment out of waking up & looking at the setlist changes too. the european leg will be especially fun since there'll be shows one right after the other for about a month, & even if i won't be attending any of those it's still exciting edit: that'll just be the start though because i forgot how much longer the second american leg is too πŸ˜‚ like twenty five shows right, man it's gonna keep being so fun
  8. dude thank you so much for these!
  9. yep. just with a lighter skin colour
  10. that's exactly what i thought LMAO 😭
  11. yeah, that's true β€” i guess you can never really directly apply that term because they're still going to do whatever they want to do, i don't mean "not directly linkin park" in a bad way at all. i used that since a lot of people have compared it to the sound of what emily did with dead sara/mike's projects before these years, hopefully that makes sense. it's so controversial πŸ˜‚ i try not to think about it too hard because i never mind what they do. yes, it's unlike something they've done in the past, but that's not bad at all
  12. exactly! i know it depends on your opinion and/or personal taste, but i've never been someone who hates on really any of their songs. i enjoy their form of independence from not sticking to one type of music or exact sound, whatever they put out always sounds good in some way to me
  13. finally got to listen β€” huge fan of this one. not much to say since everyone has mentioned a lot already, i really love mike's verses & even if it doesn't directly sound linkin park, i'm still all for it
  14. gotcha β€” i figured it would be, thank you
  15. obviously QWERTY is top on most of our lists, glad you mentioned no more sorrow & returning lost in the echo as well. anything anyone else has mentioned/will mention is gonna be fine with me so i'm not gonna start listing any others πŸ˜‚ very excited for this tour to start up again!
  16. do we know the actual time that it'll be released on friday?
  17. yeah, good catch, wouldn't be surprised if we do! feel like this song's kind of got a lot of controversial opinions β€” though i actually really like CTB a lot & seeing how long it was being worked on is pretty cool.
  18. oh damn πŸ˜‚ that's good to know though
  19. surprised that i didn't know about this until now?!? can't wait to give it a listen, the artwork is sick as well!
  20. yeah, i noticed the two faced clip in there. someone in the shoutbox yesterday mentioned a scene from TEM in the music video as well. very interesting that they included those
  21. i've been meaning to ask about this for a bit now & i figured i'd do it today since this marks exactly fifty days until my show! i have tickets for their show on may 6th, i'll be going with my dad & a friend. & if you don't already know, i'm sixteen, but i've never been to any kind of concert before - let alone a linkin park show, of course. that's mainly because i never had much of an interest for music until i found linkin park either, so of course that's another reason that i felt it'd be good to ask about it on here. at this rate, i've done pretty low level research, but i'd be happy to know anything from you guys. tips/suggestions, i mean throw out anything that you feel like i'd need to know. can be as obvious or in depth as you want to, there's probably plenty i still don't know. it would be especially helpful to hear from those of you who have gone to a show this year/last year as well! (of course i'd be fine hearing from anybody though) and thank you so much in advance to anyone who contributes. one more thing, i feel less crazy about asking this since obviously we're all fans on here: but is there an emotional preparation side of attending a concert that any of you have gone through? not sure if it's as deep as i've made it out to be, it's just a very different feeling for me considering that i've never had this kind of connection with anything up until now. i'm assuming i wouldn't be the only one so if you feel like adding to this that'd be great as well. anyways i'll leave it at that, again thank you so much to anyone who adds to this, i really appreciate it!
  22. they're just always busy, aren't they 🀨 always gotta have surprises - but seriously, i can't wait to figure out what else they're cooking up. strangely glad that mike's hair is finally replenishing πŸ˜‚
  23. i noticed that very quickly πŸ˜‚ the pitch correction is a bit funny to me. still gotta love GTG of course, i'm really hoping to hear it live! very glad they've been posting these live videos too
  24. same here man. blackout is probably my favourite from ATS, it had usually seemed to be a bit tough to play live but honestly they can make anything work if they try. i also loved mike's comment about LITE. it's funny because he was always the one making songs with literally the most challenging phrases for no reason. and one, for example. but with LITE, i always got a giggle out of how he'd just barely be hanging on by the end of the song. when they performed it at sao paulo, he could barely finish the "GO"'s at the end πŸ˜‚ i'm weirdly hoping it makes a comeback before my show because i'd love to hear it live, i'm sure it won't but i'm alright with that. mike's really not kidding when he said "we are in the fortunate position of having too many songs to play"
