You’re welcome! What do you think about the album ? 😊
It's an enjoyable record, I liked Amends more, however its still pretty good, not gonna lie. Wake me and Hole however are both dissapointing in my opinion. But Believe Me, Drag, Saturation are awesome! I'd say it's like 7,5/10. Amends was 9/10.

The “what‘s in me is in you” part was in the original In Time, they cut that part in the Amends version of “In time”
oh cool, I didnt notice that. thanks!

what do you mean by In Time parts in Wake me?
22 hours ago, STRANGELOVE92 said:Personal track by track ratings with small comments:
1) Saturation: love Chester’s screams, the instrumental is very early 2000s rock. Solid opener. 8/10.
2) Starting To Fly: sounds fire, once you get used to Sean’s vocals. Chester’s voice in the bridge is a bit too effected. 7,5/10.
3) Be your man: call it Dead by Daze or Grey by Sunrise, really cool ballad that could fit on Out of Ashes. A bit too repetitive. Aptly renamed after the actual lyrics of the song. 7,5/10.
4) Holding You: best song on the album, Dave Navarro slays with a phenomenal solo. Sounds like Kings of Chaos. 8,5/10.
5) Hole: song is really good, but that intro is so weird and quite creepy and the ending “hole yeah” sounds artificial. 7,5/10.
6) Drag: banger, perfect instrumental, very LP-ish. 8/10.
7) Believe me: really good rendition, more powerful. Richard Patrick is the MVP, his vocals are perfectly complimentary to Chester’s. 8/10.
8 ) Anything Anything: good instrumental but the vocals are too slow at the point they get almost dull. 6,5/10.
9) Spin: proof that miracles exist, they turned the original mess into a really solid Alice In Chains - esque dark ballad. Some of Chester’s vocals on this one have always been quite strange. 7,5/10.
10) Wake me: nice closing track, the In Time parts are surprisingly fitting. Not one of the better songs but nice. 7/10.

First note from Brad has arrived. Pretty heartwarming, I love it.

anybody received any note from the band?

At least we’ll get something, that’s nice. I’m kinda excited for this some news is better than no news and new merch info
-
Couldnt agree more, Coizu! Well written
-
So sick! Congrats!

1/ Robot Boy. I never got that song. Oh and Sorry for now. Its on the same level for me
2/ EDM stuff… not for me
-
The Mike and Rob part was new or from some other interview?

I personally believe that they will find a new bandmember. They will not continue as a five piece band. Mike always wanted LP to have two vocalists. I will support their decision no matter what it is tbh. It is their band afterall.

I dont know, he might just be honest and does not remember. I do not even remember my own demo songs I wrote like a year ago. I think you cant blame the guy for not remembering a song written in 2002. He writes a milion songs per year, you gotta forget some of it.

Well he said he's been making a lot of stuff with grandson and the Fever dude, right?
Yeah, but I'd be surprised if that's ever released.

I mean, you're free to discuss it. I personally haven't found any song with that name anywhere. Not by Linkin Park and not by another artist named Xero. The title doesn't sound much like Linkin Park though.
Yeah the title confused me tbh

I'm pretty sure this was discussed before and everyone agreed it was a song by a different artist named Xero that was somehow mixed in with Linkin Park on BMI.
Really? I didnt know that
-
I just found a song "FUCKIN OR WHAT?" in the BMI catalogue. The whole band + Mark is credited as writers and performers are LP and Xero. Any idea about that song?

No it’s not that song, it’s a deeper cut that was asked by some fans😊
Good, I was afraid that it was Hole. I like that song a lot

He did it for kids on TikTok. Ever since Remember The Name made the rounds on there, he’s taken a bigger interest in that platform.I’ll look at it from another perspective, though. I think it’s dumb and pointless, yes, but then again I’ll just ignore it and pretend it’s not a thing. He released it for streaming. I streamed it once, and now I’ll never stream it again. No harm, no foul. I don’t use TikTok, so clearly I’m not in the target audience for a release like this.
100% agree

Why is this even a thing? Damn... what are you even doing Mike?

I hope he has 10 songs better than HE and drops a surprise album.
That should not be that hard tbh

Promoting like hell a song that, as of what he himself said, didn’t even want to put out
I bet he has like a 1000 of songs like that. Good point
-
that's cool from Mike, working even from vacation
-
Well, cool, but why and what is that? I dont get it and don’t know why I should care. Not the target audience I suppose. But good for both artists. Hope they are satisfied with the release.

I was not interested in STP. It wasnt my taste, but I knew Chester enjoyed the hell out of it. Dead by Sunrise was a bit of a letdown at the time. Some songs were just too slow and some were not that interesting, unfortunately. But with that said, singles were great, some songs I still listen to frequently.
