Definitely more interesting than the FZ version.
What is the difference between the two versions?

But...yes...it did. They should have just changed their name altogether first. Maybe then would it fly. Don't get me wrong the chick has a decent voice until she starts doing the older stuff that Chester did sing but that's simply because that was Chester s*** man not hers.. I guess best of luck to them
its great that you made an account just to spill your nonsense tea here. thank you and good day to you

Great conversation, so many inside information, pretty deep and honest. This is a great format of podcast

I wonder why they chose to work again with external writers. They never did that before OML.

I am so ready for another single. Hopefully we’ll get it in October.

At least Brad has good reasons for not touring anymore. Unlike Stef from Deftones who`s afraid he might fall from the edge of the flat earth if he would step out of his house.

Cooked something again - a huge shoutout goes out to Hahninator because without him this angle wouldn't exist!
THANK YOU! These are amazing

It's unfathomable how much is in the behind the scenes of a massive production like this one. I can't even comprehend how to make all of that work. Amazing people developing great experiences.
And its insane that so many people kept quiet and nothing leaked. This was in the works for quite some time

Fuck me. Heavy is the crown is a banger

hmm was this the project Mike and Colin met? the timing would fit. the song's cool, but Fever333 went a direction that is not for me, loved the first EP and album tho
-
the story about his kids was cool. like they didnt realize that Mike is the mastermind behind one of worlds biggest band. lol
but yeah, their perspective is much more different

that misconception came from reddit from where it went to every comment section and youtube video. but yeah, you are right about the dianetics, I forgot about that they abuse the mental health issues as you mention. thanks for that

I am not sure if this is new information to any of you but for the “emily doesn’t believe in mental health” crowd, it’s worth pointing out that back in 2020, Emily and Dead Sara performed at a charity benefit concert for Talinda Bennington’s mental health charity. https://loudwire.com/badflower-so-happy-im-thirty-festival-dead-sara-bones-uk/
yeah, she has some lyrics regarding mental health etc in Dead Sara as well - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vKLhILz_nBg

Cool to see how they did all the effects in the video. I love these bts videos. Looks like they were having fun, even though shooting a music video is sometimes so exhausting. I hate doing that 😀

Gene has some hot takes and sometimes it may be even old man yelling at a cloud, but his view on this is wow. I would not have expected that tbh.

this obsession with original members being there or not touring but only writing is getting stale. look at fuckin Norma Jean, no original member left, still going strong, In Flames as well, Slipknot are touring with basically half of new members atm. just enjoy the ride. as long as we have main songwriters in the band, its gonna be LP no matter what.

I think it's about eating a McDonald's Cheeseburger, regretting your decision and returning again for another one.
I apologize for this shitpost. Or maybe not.

nice, timing is great, finally some positive news after all the shitstorm of past few days

Nah, I dont feel attacked by anything, dont worry
yeah. I agree with the last sentence, we dont know. Only thing we do know, that she's a member of that and Im not sure we need a statement about that. People already know. I think the SA allegations definitely needed a statement, but this is already out there.. you know what I mean.

The last sentence was uncalled for. Sure, we could argue all day long what is "worse", but enough people (even on here) showed a severe lack of knowledge about what Scientology even is, what it does and (crucially) what it believes in. I find it absolutely ok to be concerned about this connection.
But you seem to underestimate the impact this whole thing has on the vast amount of sympathizers and more or less casual fans of the band (not even to mention general music fans). I shied away from comment sections, but whenever I dove in, the sentiment was "I'm done with this band". There is a substantial amount of backlash happening and it's fine if you or other people just want to give this a pass, you do you. Though, the more public awareness of "LP and their new singer" is tainted by this for now and there is a good chance that this connection will remain.
I hope they'll find a way to navigate it all. Guess we'll (hopefully) see.Let's agree we disagree. I have a knowledge regarding the cult, had a couple of seminars at Uni and went through a lot of documentaries regarding this cult and others, and yeah, its fucked up. I think the casuals will forget mostly, overall music fans will too, but it might cause some issues for the band potentially, but they gotta have some plans by now. But so far tour is selling out. Tours will be packed.

To be fair, this was because of his White Power thing of which there were videos. This is not tolerable in Germany. But in the US no one (really) cared for that.
Sitting out this whole "thing" is not a good idea. The music world outside of the LP bubble will not ignore this and without any form of confirmation/explanation it will forever remain whenever someone talks about LP. Putting your head in the sand simply won't work, I'm afraid. It sucks and is not an easy thing to solve. I hope LP prepared for that beforehand, but so far it doesn't seem like it.
People have short attention span. Being a racist is far worse than being a scientologist. Let's not be so dramatic. Like Qwerty mentioend above, Tom Cruise is mainstream AF and no one gives a shit, why should we be so bothered?
'From Zero' Album Discussion

So it's been a couple of weeks with the album. I let the excitement settle down a bit and i waited for a perfect time to listen to the vinyl. The album on vinyl is sooooo gooood, the sound is just great. First, I love heavy music and like a lot of people LP were my entry band for heavy music, so usually I tend to like the heavier songs more. On From Zero they made the soft songs so freaking good that I have them among my favourite LP songs honestly.
First of all. The Emptiness Machine, I love the song, I love the way they built it. It's easily the best song on the album and their best song since Living Things IMO. I love Good Things Go, that is a great album closer, the emotions in the song are so honest. IGYEIH seems to have mixed reception, I appreciate the THP vibes, but more evolved and again the emotions and sincerity in Em's vocal delivery makes this one stand out for me. Two Faced is a no brainer, that's just purest oldschool LP song in years. But I miss a bit of inovation in it, even though it checks for everything I love about LP. Overflow is just a great vibe. Love Mike's verses, great flow. Stained has that pop vibe without sacrificing the LP sound, the chorus is insanely catchy, Emily shines there for sure. Casualty is cool, even though I'm not a big fan of the bridge., but again great choice for Mike's vocals. Heavy Is The Crown is again a cool throwback to the oldschool LP sound, the bridge sounds a bit forced, but it's a great vocal take nonetheless. The chorus is fun, synths are cool as well. Cut The Bridge is cool, but I'm not fan of the gang chorus vocals, something throws me off about them. Might be that they are lower in the mix, maybe that they are not as much a gang vocals but a three people vocals if you get what I mean.
Overall, great comeback album, a bit short though. But we can clearly see that they can do anything in this new lineup and that's a great promise for future albums. I hope they keep the guitars present in the mix. Oh and keep Joe's scratching! I missed that.
