Well The remix they are referencing is basically an EDM remix of Heavy and sure they might have some rock remixes on the remix album, but the ones you are talking about are fanmade ones. The only official one, that now has been confirmed to be made FOR LP is the Nicky Romero one which is as EDM as it gets.

I am not really happy about the possibility of a remix album for OML. The Nicky Romero remix for Heavy is pretty meh, and in general do we really need people to remix the tracks into EDM clubbanger anthems? I know they said there will never be another Reanimation, but either that or don't.

I still wonder who thought that this was a good idea.

I have always said it. Mike has been bad about describing stufff. Like Remember how Mike said LT was very folk heavy? FUCKING HELL THERES ONE TRUE FOLK SONG ON THERE FFS Also when The Catalyst came out he said the album ATS will be like that, and to me thats not true either. Yeah, I am a bit upset about the new record. I do like Battle Symphony but I listned to too much (5 times, I counted). So I fucking tired of it. Also that Mike said THP was there because he didn't want Rock bands to do pop shit and then does OML kinda pisses me off too. And before everybody says "dude he said that YEARS ago" I am not denying that but he said it, its something that hes basically kicking himself with right now. For me, it has less to do with LP shouldn't do straight electro-pop, but rather, when you realize it doesn't sound good, why bother? Heck there were some electro demos on LPU releases that I really enjoyed and felt that if they were a song they could be something. Before anybody says "oh you're probably just a butthurt nu-metal fanboy." ATS is my favorite Linkin park album and I couldn't wait until its out. Like for some reason even hearing Chester in that BTS clip made me shudder, like it was something that should not be taking place. I mean this album is giving me very mixed feelings. Like I don't mind pop music and I listen to some, but even for generic pop what we got so far (BS and Heavy) is weak even for those standards. And while I think I listen to BS regularly I reallydon't like LP doing that type of stuff.

Okay so for me its this: On one hand I love Battle Symphony and I think its MILES BETTER than Heavy (even after my 15th listen) but at the same time LP doing pop still doesn't sit well with me. EDIT: I would say that, goign from the lyrics the title was "Battle Symphony". What I am say is that, I doubt they worked with demo titles this time, as in the past they used demo titles since they didn't have anything to go by (maybe explains why we have demo names like "Chair" etc) but I think that since they had the lyrics done before they wrote any music they could've easily said "This song is called 'Battle Symphony'" right then and there.

"grr" can be heard in the first minute of the main feature of the Frat Party DVD also "Castle of Glass" is another working title that stuck (confirmed in the Inside Living Things doc)

Nope. It just shows the main bit from the Dragon festival. I know about that, my question was related to the other 4 clips on the DVD.

These snippets actually brought my interst back for the album. Heavy is easily the worst LP song there is, and the fact that it was said the album is like that made me decide I was not gonna buy it, but these songs sound very promising.

For me that even isn't a music video so I am not including it. its almost like an extended trailer for a game with the LP song behind it.

2 questions: a) the Crawling DVD single has 4x30 secon snippets form different live shows. Does anybody know what these are? Does anybody know if Brad is fluent in spanish? Cause I have seen him do interviews in spanish before (and of course him doing the WTCFM bits in spanish etc)

Theres two things I remembered on the Making of In The End feature you can hear the demo "Hurry" playing roughly 7.40 minutes in. Also on the LPU Glorious Excess Dies episode theres what seems to be a new version of Technique as in the beat and elements are the same as on the track from the EP but its still something unheard.

Sorry for bumping this thread but LIT is probably my least favorite live release by them. I don't like that fact that its not the full show on the CD (even though it woul'dve fit). The random slomo inserts. Also the shitty editing (different guitar within seconds and clean/sweaty shirt within seconds). Honestly I don't mind using multiple shows, but thats something you should know how to figure out when you edit an offical DVD. Also you bearely hear the crowd. Also the random inserts from backstage in the middle of te show, especially when its WHILE THE AUDIO CONTINUES. What I find hilarious though is Phoenix tripping during APFMH. If you watch that scene in slomo you can actually see that it was not intentional.
