Such an underrated song, I don’t understand why it didn’t go big like Lost, it sits there with 25M on Spotify despite being the classic catchy rap rock LP tune

almost every modern metal/popmetal band did the LP sound is one way or another in past ten years. it's time to show them how it's done properly
Haha yeah, it’s full of band who has Meteora/HT elements
-
Why replicate the sound of 20 years ago ? That’s not what I would find exciting TBH

yikes 🤢Haha, sorry. I still do like THP as it is but it's my least fav album by LP and it's the one I would "reimagine" the most. I love heavy LP but not that kind of heavy TBH.
-
I did this as a personal take on my least fav record by them
THP REIMAGINED (same number of songs):
1. Wastelands
2. White Noise
3. GATS (radio edit but with the standard long intro)
4. KTTK (Chester just sings instead of yelling and there's no "I am not allowed to say certain things" outro)
5. The Summoning
6. War
7. UIG (no baby crying outro)
8 Rebellion
9. MTG
10 ALITS (cut the rap part, ending gets shortened with less repetition of "give me back what's mine")
11. Drawbar
12 Final Masquerade (extended intro and outro video version)

When GATS dropped I was living in a hotel during a very rough period of my life. I remember it as one of few things that excited me at the time and I listened to it a lot. As dumb as it sounds, looking forward to THP was a big part of grounding me and pushing me forward for those few months.
I get that feeling, hardest period of my life right now, that’s why I love FF so much probably, new comfort music from my fav band

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂❤️ I deserve it I know. My fav song off the album is FM by far
-
Listening to the full album right now, I’ll get a lot of hate for this but if I had to rank it, UIG would be higher in the list than KTTK, AFN, GATS, War for sure.
-
Not having Rebellion as the first single might be the weirdest decision of their career
-
Just listened to GATS, blown away by the fact that it's been A DECADE. It's still a good song, with Chester being a bit too whiny in the verses. Really good song, but not great great
-
My holy grail for MTM20 is definitely one of the 99 versions of BIO and NRL with Chester on vocals. Oh and getting stuff like Pretend to be and Fear (LOATR demo) released on Spotify would be sick. I try to stay grounded and not dream too much

xx. POST CHESTER-ERA NEW MUSIC
If we are getting only the 10% of all the stuff you mentioned I would be happy as fuck. We can dream
-
To be honest I’d love LP to come back with new music and/or touring but I don’t think they would be as big as Chester’s stuff
-
FF will debut #1 in the billboard rock and alternative airplay chart. LP still big as fuck

I like this actually. Personally couldn't see myself getting rid of Forgotten, but I have very specific memories of it so it's different for me. Not sure about BIO ending MTM but I think if it was more like they did live I could see it
TLTGYA is a really good song but it’s not iconic as Numb or PMA or The Messenger IMO, and yeah, BIO as the closing track was in a “live show” stare of mind 😂

hahahah! it will blown their minds! even for hardcore fans, listening QWERTY on streaming platform surely gonna be different vibes!
hopefully, they releases "QWERTY (Official Music Video)" on the release day.
Yeah hope so

true! because FF is a brand new vault song and QWERTY is fan-club exclusive track. cant wait for people to hear QWERTY for the first time.
Imagine someone who is a casual fan and discovers FF and QWERTY hearing them side by side 😂😂😂 delicate bittersweet pop song about the nonsense of arguing and going mad about little things and then BEHIND YOUR LIIIIIIIIIES WHAA blows up on your face 😂

So far the song has been performing similar to Fighting Myself, maybe a little better. Fighting myself is close to 60 millions after less then a year. I think we can expect Friendly fire to close 2024 with around 50 millions if it keeps going well
Let’s hope so !
-
HT: stays the exact same except for Forgotten being replaced by And One, but it's the live And One with the screams and no weird rap and noises at the end.
Meteora: Lost takes the place of Nobody's listening and More the victim replaces HTF.
MTM: NRL replaces In Between and BIO ends the tracklist
-
FF crossed 6M on Spotify, pretty good. 30/40 milllions are kinda an easy target

Isn't it a bit sad how we hype so much for a new release, then 1 week after it's realeased the magic is gone? It's a bittersweet feeling, like i'm taking things for granted.
Best example of this was Pictureboard, i think. 2 decades craving for it, and after the release it all just gets behind like it never happened or meant much.I was thinking the exact same, there's this tendency of burning the hype for something too quickly, like, people going crazy over FF or Pictureboard and then the 2 songs come out and it's all over after a week. Like, we got a lot of holy grails in the last 4 years, shit! I'm so happy to have FF, Lost, FM and MTV, plus Healing Foot and Massive. We got an EP of songs with vocals in a year, I am still blown away
-
AAAAAAAANd we got the GH lol

Most of the time when we hear these b-sides and cut tracks, I can see why they were cut no matter how much I like them. I totally see why Lost is too similar to Numb for example. FF though, it's actually pretty different from other OML songs, at least in this form (who knows how much they changed since 2017).
The swing rhythm isn't there on any other tracks, the acoustic guitar on the second verse is kinda a unique touch, the "Fiiiireee" refrain is unique from other refrains that are either more wordy or the "na na na" from HR, the vocal outro is kinda unique. The only striking similarities to other songs for me are the way it starts abruptly with vocals like HR and Heavy, the fact that it's all just Chester-focused with no back and forth like BS and NCSM, but overall it's not too similar imo. They went really hard with cutting on OML it seems to me, because this could have easily been an 11th track without the album overstaying its welcome imo. Here's to hoping Tidal Wave, Out Of Reach and the others see the light of day sometime
Totally agree, I mean it's a OML song, shares similarities with BS, Heavy, NCSM, HR especially, but it'skinda unique in its elements, very very good song, could have easily been on the album
-
UPDATE: 1) Excluding "Friendly Fire" from OML, damn that song is the embodyment of pop LP with personal and intimate lyrics, such a strong song, I don't know how it lost with songs like SFN, GG and Heavy (with Kiiara). Not only I would have put it on the album, but 100% it would have been my pick as the 2nd single
“More The Victim” coming to Rock Band 4 as DLC on 4/13

A video for that song would have been great
