It's ok if you feel like this song reminds you of Paramore. I don't but I wouldn't mind, I like Paramore. But "Paramore Park" has been used thousands of times in the past 6 months under almost every post on Instagram, X, TikTok etc to trash the band, just like Karaoke Park or worst. So it feels very wrong to see that in a place that celebrates LP

    K.

  2. Heavy is better than most of From Zero because it has a SOUL and it's not something trying to replicate the succesful LP formula trying to make a "insert song name 2.0" song. FZ is competently made with some pretty good songs, but lacks that soul songs like Heavy have, (except for Good yhings go) it's intimate and personal

Well you started off the wrong foot with your "Paramore park" opinion. You should know that LP fans have had enough of that bs on social media.

I can't unhear the Paramore thing in the chorus, and that is my issue with the song, that's all. The instrumental is fun and I kinda like Mike's part and the verses, it's ok

Well, best get use to it because Emily is here to stay

Don't get the aggressive "defending Emily" tone of the message, I was not hating, just expressing my opinion saying I don't like her delivery that much on the song, can I?

This song is really good! You can feel the vibe of the rock side of MTM.

I like Paramore, but stop comparing every band with a female vocalist to Paramore. There are also a lot of other great bands with female vocalists, like Marmozets (by the way, they were supposed to come back, anyone know what happened to them?), Novelists, Arch Enemy, Evanescence.

    Halestorm are phenomenal too

  6. I don't like Paramore, but I never said/thought that every pop/rock female led band siounds like Paramore. But this song gave me Paramore vibes and my main issue here is Emily, sadly. Nothing against her but on this track a male vocalist would have made the song far more enjoyable, while I really like her on IGYEIH or TEM.

Even as an instrumental, The Emptiness Machine rules. One of the strongest songs they’ve ever made.
They always create their best material when they take their time.

TEM instrumental is like a mix of every phase of LP’s career. Phenomenal

  8. I didn't know the guy, probably never talked to him on the forum, but I have to pay respect to someone who contributed in shaping this site for what it is.

RIP and huge condolences to his family and friends

Yeah, I have listened once to "From Zero" this year, I think. Moved on super quick from it. It's a good album with some great songs, but I feel my passion is not the same anymore. It is, what it is.

Totally feel the same, it's not me hating on Emily orstuff like that, I'll support them and I stand by their side, but I stoped listening to the album in full like before Christmas or so... I will look forward about new music by the band but it's not the same level of hype and love

I have said this several times in the shoutbox or other topics but still no answer from any expert lol

Can anyone confirm if LP sampled The Prodigy?

    Min 0:30

    That "hey hey hey"

Sounds very similar to the sound of IGYEIH that runs through the whole song.

In IGYEIH Emily says "yeah yeah yeah" not "hey hey hey"

And with that, we are finished!

    The Emptiness Machine - 6
    Good Things Go - 5

In an ending that honestly surprised me, Good Things Go has emerged as the victor of the LPLive From Zero Election! For those of you who didn't keep track at home, here's the final ranking:

    1. Good Things Go
    2. The Emptiness Machine
    3. IGYEIH
    4. Two Faced
    5. Overflow
    6. Casualty
    7. Heavy Is The Crown
    8. Stained
    9. Over Each Other
    10. Cut The Bridge
    11. From Zero (Intro)

And here's how it stacks up against the staffs' personal rankings:

Except for CTB being so low and GTG being n.1, I think it's a pretty solid list

i've actually been playing CTB a lot more the past few weeks. im pretty sure i ranked the album songs at the end of november and honestly it still keeps changing, like i really haven't been a fan of two faced as much anymore. i'd put CTB over it at this point, mainly because TF is one of those songs that i get bored of half way in or tend to skip more often than I'd like - and CTB is one that i always love the whole way through.

Yeah IGYEIH is a great song too, Two Faced is fun but it's like a "nu metal meme" and the chorus is a bit dull and extreeemely repetitive, I bet that in a year I will tent to skip the song when I'll listen to the full album, same that happens with stuff like LGM or Nobody's listening.
