  1. Did you guys have anything else planned with Jeff after this? Anything in the works? And yeah, regarding demos like Turn To Grey and Ashes, or Xero versions of Carousel and Slip, maybe someone could find more promising leads, but for the time being it seems like only the band and Jeff have those demos. Jeff is not going to leak anything (I think he still works in the music industry so he has to toe the line, which is not something Dave Garrett or Andrew Lanoie had to worry about) but it seems like there isn't an issue with him inviting other people to listen to the tracks privately (confiscating phones, I was also in the Michael Jackson community and there's a lot of demos that got leaked because someone recorded them at seminars by former producers or collaborators). For songs with Mark Wakefield's vocals (and maybe also songwriting), we need to consider that Mike already had to do some convincing to get Mark's ok for the ones we got on HT20. Maaaaaybe we could get Ashes one day (Mike used to tell people Pictureboard wasn't worth it but after HT20 he was like "I never said it was a bad song", so who knows?), for Turn To Grey it's less likely if Mark is in the song, which is what it sounds like from this thread.
  2. I just thought it was weird that there are detailed notes for the other songs but it's just "they sound the same" for the songs I mentioned.
  3. The same as what? It's an interesting question to ask imo: 1. Are Rhinestone and Esaul the same as the LPU versions? 2. We have the same HTEP version of And One on all the demos we've heard, but are Carousel and PoM the same as the HTEP versions or closer to the 9/8/7-track versions in terms of arrangement (different drums and samples, vocal takes)? 3. Which available version of SuperXero is the same as what the LPLive guys heard? Is P&A the LPU 12 version?
  4. Now that we have more info from Jeff Blue's vault, we know that there's a demo from 13/12/1999 with So Far Away (called "Knight Rider") and Slip, and those versions are likely to be the ones on the LPU albums (there's an earlier version of Slip on the "Complete Demos" CD, but it's the Xero version with Mark. Also, the song "Pointillism" from the 9-track Xero CD turned out to be an earlier version of So Far Away. Dedicated is on the alternate HTEP from Nov 2000 under the name of "Kids", it has the same vocal takes as the LPU version but it's unmixed/unmastered.
  5. Did our guys hear any HPOATT samples in the unreleased demos (mostly Turn To Grey and Ashes, but also on unheard versions of other songs)?
  6. We have a lot more potential info now, with the songs from HT20 + Jeff Blue's book and all the demos he showed in photos and interviews. @NJPLP I saw that you posted a lot of those Jeff Blue tapes on Genius, we might as well list them all on here if it helps. (and yes, this is my first time using this account in almost 9 years)
  7. Hi,this is a thread about the next LPU album. Write the demos or unreleased songs that you'd want to be released. The songs must be only 10,Pictureboard and The Wizard Song aren't included. This is my list: 1.Esaul(Xero Demo) 2.Rhinestone(the The Crow version) 3.Slip(the version in the Lockout video) 4.Thoughts That Take Away My Pride(Meteora Demo) 5.No Roads Left(Chester's Vocals) 6.Grecian(MTM Demo) 7.Victimized(Gang vocals and different intro) 8.A random unreleased song 9.Fuse(Chester's vocals) 10.And One(short version) And a secret Xero/HT demo as a b-side. Say what you think and write your wishlist.
  8. I remember that in 2006 a Xero live recording popped out,a guy bought it and he destroyed it without even saying anything to the fans, that makes me think that the thing was fake.Or he destroyed it because Mark's live voice gave him headaches. We know that nobody knew Xero and Hybrid Theory, but maybe we'll find something new,7 years have passed since the last discovery of an unreleased song(She Couldn't).
  9. Thanks,i didn't know that Part Of Me had more versions, now i listened to all of them and the best one is the 9-Track one. I already knew that The Crow thing,if you've noticed it the instrumental is the same of the Rhinestone version with Chester, this makes me think that Xero probably recorded some decent quality songs that we don't know. Demos like She Couldn't,Slip,Blue and So Far Away came out of nowhere, but i think we'll never listen to Pictureboard because of those damn samples. Somebody needs to ask Mike about other Xero songs in the next LPU chats.
  10. If you want to ask or say something about Xero, write it here. Don't write dumb things.
  11. Seriously.
  12. I already knew that picture.
  13. The point of this topic is to write infos about Xero.
  14. Do you really think this guy is Mark Wakefield? Well,he isn't.
  15. Xero.
