I'm just buying to buy it in the stores the day it comes out.

All you'll get is a shitty excuse for a soundboard rip.

Fuck the new LP album. I don't understand why that can't just start working on it like next summer or something, it's getting in the way of everything. Chester could release Dead By Sunrise and do a full tour from it, plus Mike could actually do Glorious Excess dies seeing as how it's postponed now because of the new LP album. I bet the new album will suck, you don't finish a great album in a couple months. It'll never be as awesome as Minutes To Midnight which they actually took time on. I want DBS right now, not LP.
-
I think LP might be done by Fall of 2009. I don't want a new album by May, I want them to take their time and make it really good. As for DBS, I'm thinking he might release a single in the upcoming months (December, January, February, March) and then release the album by like May or June. Hopefully.

Can you rip it to mp3? That would be awesome.
-
Pretty cool I guess. I hope we hear some stuff from Hahn on the new LP album.

Wtf?

After the new album is done and they start touring again, the only Minutes To Midnight songs that I want to see in the setlists are Given Up (No wake), Bleed It Out, What I've Done and No More Sorrow. The rest of the songs on the album are great studio, but SUCK live IMO. Not too much Meteora either. I really want to see a lot of new songs and a lot of Hybrid Theory songs because I think HT songs sound the best live.

I actually like his singing voice. Also, Chester was the one who wanted him to sing more. Mike also said that he tried to put rap stuff in the songs and it sounded cheesy and cliche. So don't say that Mike was brainwashed, he wanted to sing himself, he didn't want to rap on stuff. Be happy that he at least rapped on Bleed It Out and Hands Held High, because Hands Held High was originally supposed to be singing but Rick suggested trying rap over it, which stuck. We also got We Made It and Magic Doors after Minutes To Midnight came out, which is better than nothing I guess. At least he rapped two verses for us.

At first I was kind of skeptical about LP doing a concept album, but now I'm pretty excited actually. A lot of people made awesome examples here, like Astat. I can't wait to see what it turns out like.

Time isn't going to make it so he can jump around all the time again. This is a permanent change. I don't understand why everyone is making such a big deal out of it TBH. He still will put on an amazing performance, regardless.

I feel bad for Chester since he gets so excited when they're playing live. Now he has to take it easy. I doubt he will just stand there for the whole show though, especially during their more heavier stuff. And that's pretty cool that you're going to see NIN Mark. I hope you have fun, I wish I could see them live.

The quality of the videos are so much better than Live In Texas. It's shot so much better, I love all the different angles and the close ups.

I'm not so sure that I like this idea of the new album being a concept album, which sucks because I was expecting it to be their best album yet, which apparently won't be happening. I like to listen to a record with a lot of different moods and themes to the songs, not just one continuous feeling. I know a lot of people will flame me for this, but I'd rather have DBS over the LP album right now. I want Chester to tour off of it, even if it gets in the way of the new LP album. Seriously, LP went on hold for Fort Minor, so Chester should be able to tour with his album. My liking for DBS has just increased by like 1000 now that I know the next LP album will be a concept album.

Why is everyone posting just one/two/three songs? It's supposed to be the album but your favorite performance of each. I'll go with the flow, besides the ones I chose, other great performances are Given Up from Montreal 08, Noblesville 07, San Antonio 07 Leave Out All The Rest from Milton Keynes 08, Edgefest 08 Bleed It Out from Holmdel 07, St.Louis 08, East Troy 08 Shadow Of The Day from Mansfield 08, Hong Kong 07 What I've Done from Atlanta 07, Syracuse 07, Auburn 07 Hands Held High from Hannover 08, Manchester 08 No More Sorrow from Mansfield 07, Camden 08 Valentine's Day from Hannover 08, Los Angeles 08 In Between from NYC 08, Sacramento 08 In Pieces from Detroit 08, San Bernadino 07, Singapore 07 The Little Things Give You Away from Hartford 07, Dallas 07

What I've Done IMO, their best song to date. It's weird because it was the last song finished for Minutes To Midnight, but to me it just captures everything the album stands for and has a great meaning lyrically. The vocals are fantastic, some of the best singing from Chester ever, and the guitar is really catchy and unique. The piano is probably my favorite part though, next to the vocals of coarse. Faint It's always been my favorite Linkin Park song, always will be. Note that I said FAVORITE not BEST. I by no means think it's their best song, I just love the guitar, violin, rapping and screaming altogether, it's a fun song and a kick ass song live. In The End It was the song that got me into LP, my friend showed it to be when Hybrid Theory first came out and I fell in love with it. The lyrics mean a lot to me, even though they are really negative, and I love how it takes me back every time that I listen to it.

No, not really. Mike has A LOT of talent musically, and why do you think he produced Reanimation, Hybrid Theory EP and partly on Minutes To Midnight? I think if they chose Rick again that would be a bad idea. He was great in helping them find their new sound, which is what Rick Rubin is for, to help artists change and evolve. I think now that they have their new sound locked down, they should choose a straight-forward producer. I'm not saying Don, but maybe someone like him. Keep in mind guys that if LP were to choose Don it wouldn't sound like nu-metal because he most likely understands that they have changed, I bet he likes them even more now since he use used to call them ''poor me'' lyrics.
-
Sacramento 08 was kick ass too.
-
It was. You're supposed to choose what you think is the best performance of each song on MTM.
-
I love Wake/Given Up opening and then ending with Bleed It Out.
-
Mike never said we wouldn't get b-sides, he just said no new album material. Have some faith! As for the plaque thing...why? It's a waste of money IMO, but at least they're not affecting the online statuses or anything.
-
Agreed. I wonder where Rob and Brad are though?? I know Chester is hurt, but Brad and Rob aren't so why didn't they work with Mike, Joe and Phoenix?
-
Thanks for using my summary, or at least parts of it. I'll be glad to do more things like this whenever you guys want.

Awesome news!!! I can't wait for more studio stories, hopefully even some LPTV. I think this album will be their best yet, I have a strong feeling oddly. And that's awesome about the heavier type shit.

I for one, can't wait for DTA. I've been waiting ever since they had their very first demos up on their myspace page. What an awesome date to pick as well. I can't wait for a full studio version of Systeme De Sexe.
