I hope we get to hear some of his unreleased material someday. I know it's not appropriate now, but eventually, would Talinda be the one who would have to approve it? I'm just wondering if anything he worked on will ever see the light of day. Hoping for the best in that regard. I know you are too!

It said they wanted to continue making music? I know that they will do so but I doubt it will be under the LP name. Again, just my opinion and thoughts on the matter. Chester sang on every single LP has ever put out, if I'm not mistaken. Can't replace that.

Would love to hear those Meteora remix's/demos one day. It's the album that got me into the band and because of that, it means so much to me.

OML was marketed terribly. I blame WB for that. The worst 3 songs were used to promote the album. I had a bad taste of the album before even listening to it. As a result, I didn't really give it a fair shot until after July 20. I feel bad about the backlash but the label is to blame again, imo. Why not, dude? There's literally not much else to talk about here besides depressing stuff.

I think Mike will go to FM next. No pressure to play LP songs at shows. Can get whatever guest collab he wants on vocals.

I agree with you. I cringe at the thought of that ever happening.

LP becomes FM and Mike can decide what songs to play at shows without the pressure of performing classics with new singers or backing vocals. Live shows would be a mix of LP songs (minus the ones only Chester could pull off such as Crawling, BTH, Faint, etc.) and FM songs. Not sure if everyone would join up but I think Brad and Joe would for sure. Makes the most sense to me. Studio albums can be whatever with different collaborations because they had that on TRT.

The two songs that were pushed to market the album, I'll never really love but as a whole, I do appreciate the album and am thankful they were able to release it before his death.

Not too difficult to say LP is now FM and put website redirects and social media plugs in the old LP accounts. That way the guys don't feel obligated to play old material that only Chester could pull off.

Most celebs in music and entertainment have said something positive about him.

Don Gilmore's interview is touching. Glad Chester vouched for him to do Meteora. Wish he would have done more LP albums. He seemed to really push them to be better. Lots of people hate on the older albums, but they wouldn't have been the band they were today without them.

Just watched about three hours of recent interviews of Chester. Even though he alludes to a bad 2015-2016, he has always mentioned his dark past before and the fact that he always overcame makes this even more surprising and sad. Four days in and this still feels unreal.

That would be incredibly sad for all the band members to relive each night. I doubt that happens.

Chester was LP. No way they can continue. It will feel so wrong.

God this sucks even admitting this isn't a hypothetical questions like it was in the past: I think that they will release one more album and a boxset of greatest hits and the last of the LP vault's best. They have enough of his vocals to make songs work. I think Mike would want to honor Chester with an album of him completely on vocals as his last. From there, who knows. I doubt Mike stops making music. I have been clamoring for FM to make music for ten years now but even the prospect of that at the moment is too sad for me to get excited for.

We all feel that way, I know that I do. But this is a forum where we've been expressing our opinions-- many times on a whim. If you love something so much, you'll have strong feelings for it one way or another. The 2003-2007 era of LP will always be a really special place for me. Even though that could never be topped for me personally, they always had tracks that felt relatable to life and helped me through the everyday unpleasantness that life brings. I couldn't sleep last night. My mind was not wanting to accept yesterday was reality. I woke up hoping everything would go back to how it was and that I'd get more opportunities to have the band continue to be the soundtrack to my life. A really tragic ending. The finality of it knowing that there won't be anymore of Chester's music, concerts, videos, appearances, etc., makes it too surreal. Fuck, this hurts.

Totally, man. Great first post. It's not our place to judge him at all. I do wonder about the ankle and just bad timing of everything had a role in this? I don't know but I still can't fathom this and probably never will.

A part of me still hopes and believes that when I wake up, it won't be real.

This feels like losing a family member. I woke up thinking it was a bad dream.
