Enough to give us BITS and Blackout but not enough to give us decent supporting acts?I don't know. They love Australia?
-
Just a note on Crawling, this is the first time in quite a while where Mike has sung the Reanimation harmony during the final chorus.
-
Assuming you're referring to The Requiem here. The vocals are clearly live, you can actually hear Mike struggle with a couple of notes.
Are you serious?
Requiem = not live.
It doesn't sound like the studio version, that I'm sure of. The "female" voice is louder than the rest of the "Ooh" vocals in the mix. Then when it gets to the first "sins of our hand", you can hear the wobble like someone straining to hit the note. Then the voice drops in volume for the next line. This is the first live recording I've heard where it clearly sounds different from the album version (keeping in mind everything but the female vocals are the studio recording played at a higher pitch).

I'm going to make a brave call: Jay-Z to appear at the 2nd Sydney show on the 15/12. It is the last Australian show of the tour, and Jay-Z is potentially free as he would play in Sydney on the 14th and is only required in Perth on the 18th.
And if I was LP, I would get Jay to do Jigga What as part of Bleed it Out. Nobody would see that coming.
-
Oh snap, I thought the same thing.I just imagined Chester singing/rapping the first verse and then screaming the chorus of Blackout after BIO bridge. It sounded good in my mind.
I'll make you face ... this ... now
. . .
you've gotta get it inside
You push it back down / You push it back down
No / you'll never get it inside
Push it back down
Black out
Blood in your eye
Peoples, don't suggest stuff that won't actually fit the beat of BIO. RME fits. APFMH fits. Part of Me would work. Hit the Floor would be another that would fit.
QWERTY would have rapped much faster to fit the beat. Step Up would have to be done faster than what is probably possible for Mike.
-
Here's the reason: Mike didn't time it right. If he had started at the right spot it would have fit nicely.APFMH over Bleed It Out sounded a little weird

Define "essentially". During their peak touring period for Young Modern in 06-08, yes, they kept a similar structure to their set list, but there were quite a few song changes over that time.not sure if any of you are familiar with the aussie band silverchair? they were big in the states many years ago with their first two albums frogstomp and freak show... you may remember the singles 'tomorrow', 'israel's son', 'abuse me', 'freak' and maybe even 'ana's song (open fire)'. they recently charted again with their tracks 'straight lines' and 'the greatest view'.
i'm a bit of an obsessive fan of theirs too - and honest to god, in the last 2/3 years - their setlist has essentially remained the same... and i'm literally talking 2/3 years - not 2/3 shows.
I think for Linkin Park, at this early stage of the tour they need to have a consistent approach to how they promote A Thousand Suns (i.e. which ATS songs they play), but should be able to include variations in what older material is played.
And play Blackout in Australia.

In a new book listing the top 1000 Songs of All Time, Linkin Park feature five times.
In The End
Numb
What I've Done
New Divide
Shadow of the Day

Suggest an alternate track order for "A Thousand Suns".
My version:
The Requiem
The Radiance
Burning In The Skies
Empty Spaces
When They Come For Me
Robot Boy
Jornada Del Muerto
Waiting For The End
The Messenger
Wretches And Kings
Wisdom, Justice, And Love
Blackout
Iridescent
Fallout
The Catalyst
Without breaking the song transitions, there's not a lot of movement that can be made. Basically, I feel that Blackout needs to be a part of the build up to the end of the album, and that The Catalyst should be the closing track.

i'm scared bucause i can't see how an elephant can be involed in a music video
hell is this terrifying...... o.O!!
i hate elephants...... D:
What about the Somewhere I Belong video? Those creatures are elephant-like...

As long as they don't rush things this time. Remember how incorrect the lyrics in the M2M album booklet are?

LP started well tonight, but really dropped the ball from WID onwards. I'm glad to have watched the stream live, but I'm not too worried about watching it again.
-
Has Mike ever played the keyboard (over the synth note) during the New Divide intro before tonight?
-
This is a little random, but when did he start doing that? I know it was sometime in 2007, but that just confused me the first time I heard it a year ago, and it's just been nagging at me.
I can't remember it occurring in any shows prior to 2007. We were able to hear it occurring at some of the Projekt Revolution shows thanks to the DSPs.

All the webcasts get terrible receptions from fans. No idea why, probably the quality. If they were at the show they'd say it was the best LP show ever, lol.
Definitely the quality. For example, if KROQ Almost Acoustic X-Mas 2007 had been streamed properly that show would have been epic.
-
Hehe I've been referring to a setlist without DBS and almost forgot they still have to play.
-
Any observant LP fan would have noticed Brad play a small section of PMA during INE, which occurs occasionally.

One of the shots showed part of a woman in a pink top standing behind the stage. Talinda?

Anyone else think Brad looked stupid waving his guitar around to look like an extension of his private parts?
Mike stuffed up HHH slightly.

I've given up
Let me apologize for what I'm about to say
Not quite the bridge, but you get the idea...
Here's hoping for a setlist change in Adelaide.
