  1. We'll never know for sure but it's cool to think about. I'm sure he saw the poll on Twitter for the older songs, I'm sure he saw us talking about the Set A encore, etc. The guy isn't stupid, he is very in tune with the fans and he cares a lot about his band. Simple facts. I'd be reading the same stuff if I was the machine behind Linkin Park too, wouldn't you? I'd want to know what the hardcore fans are saying online on the fansites.

Aside from fans having their own opinion, there's probably a case to be made about strengthening the band-fan connection if they were open to setlist suggestions from the fanbase. Not the crazy dream setlists, but more so setlist variations and such. Some of us have even suggested alternate song intros and outros. I'm still waiting for What I've Done (Distorted Remix Intro) to make it into a set. :D
  2. The thing that gets me is - part of the writing process of LIVING THINGS was described as wanting to write a bunch of songs that would be fun to play live. So it's surprising that only just over half of the album has been played live at this point. In fact, it would almost appear as if the songs are actually more difficult to play in/transition to a live environment. I'm thinking of LIES GREED MISERY, SKIN TO BONE, and UNTIL IT BREAKS as the most likely examples of this.

I'LL BE GONE is probably the song that is expected to work well live.

  3. I'd say there's a fair chance of I'LL BE GONE making an appearance. Perhaps POWERLESS for the Sidewaves.

Personally hoping for Blackout since we (Adelaide) missed it in 2010. IN MY REMAINS would be my top pick from LIVING THINGS.

  4. I'll say that the first six are the most likely to make it into the set.

    Lost in the Echo

    In My Remains

    Burn It Down

    Lies Greed Misery

    I'll Be Gone

    Castle of Glass

I'd like to see Tinfoil & Powerless as the last songs prior to an encore. Basically as a way of emulating the close of the album without it being the last song of the entire set.

I don't expect Until it Breaks to ever be played live.

  5. Adelaide, Australia - 09.12.2010

    01. The Requiem

    02. Wretches And Kings

    03. Lying From You

    04. Given Up

    05. What I've Done

    06. No More Sorrow

    07. From The Inside

Personal bias for being at this show. :) This was the debut of this opening combination, and also only the third time that From The Inside had been played in 2010 up till this point.

  6. Great news that the DSP's are up. That really sucks about House Of Blues seeing as that was a really special show. And first time some songs were played in ages. Might be only time Blackout was played in 2012 too. Hmm. Darn.

It could also be the only time that Tinfoil is played. If I remember correctly, the studio version of The Radiance was only performed once at the ATS Album Release Show.
  7. No question that radio edits of songs are required to fulfil commercial constraints. Where LP has gone wrong is how they've edited the songs (The Catalyst/Iridescent). I just feel they could have made some better choices in the editing, while keeping to the same time restrictions.
