  1. This is kind of a pointless topic. As a band, they are more emotionally balanced and understanding than others. They all know how to work out issues respectively without getting at each other's throats. Their creative drive allows them not to dry out or begin to sound bland.

So I think the only thing that would stop them would be health issues. More specifically Chester. I don't know how long he would be able to last. Most singers cannot hit those high notes at an older age, so I don't see songs like Given Up, Crawling, or New Divide being played in the late future. But I suppose only time will tell.

  2. ATS>HT=MTM=LT>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Mr. Hahn's butthole>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>H! Vltg3>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Meteora

  3. I really liked his vocals on this track, but I wouldn't want him to have permanent lead parts like Mike.

3 vocalists would just be too much and the balance between the singers would be thrown off. Nothing against Brad, but it would be too much to handle.

  4. I don't know about those because TLTGYA is in a different key and time signature than the rest of the songs, so it probably won't fit in well.

The reason why the ballad melody works is because LOATR and Iridescent are in A minor/C maj. So putting them together is relatively easy. SOTD is in B maj, which is one half step down, so transposing that song isn't much of a stretch.

Something like: My December/ Valentines Day/ Pretend to Be, would work because they are all in D minor.

    Or

Easier To Run/ Pushing Me Away/ Forgotten might work because they are all in some form of Eb

  5. I think BID is the perfect first single for this album because it sounds like it comes from LP.

When you first hear the song, you immediately know that its them because of its structure with catchy hooks and melodies. Which IMO is a very important quality for a lead single.

I don't think BID is the best song on LT (I actually think its one of the weaker ones), but I think it was the best choice for a lead single.

  6. It doesn't surprise me thats this was going to be a single. It's very radio friendly, catchy and will hopefully chart well.

I'm also stoked that COG and LITE were featured on the sticker for the album cover. It almost assures that those two are going to be singles, which I am very excited for.

  8. I really liked it. Not as dynamic and polarizing as ATS, but still good. Victimized was a little far out there and may have to grow on me. It really was a mashup of everything they've done plus something new. And some of the melodies on this album are definitely some of the best LP has ever written.

  9. Greatest Hits albums are pointless these days. It wouldn't even sell because most people already have all of their hit songs on their computers or iPods.

If you wanted a compilation of their biggest hits, you could just make the damn playlist yourself in less than a minute.

Back in the day, all people had were CDs, so having a greatest hits album was a convenience for the casual fans.
