LESTAT Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 From StoneTemplePilots.com: "The biggest and only metal festival in Japan is back! Stone Temple Pilots with Chester Bennington will take the stage on Saturday, October 19th, 2013 at Loud Park 2013 in Saitama City, Japan at the Saitama Super Arena! This will mark the bands second trip to Japan since 1993! Loud Park 2013 features 24 bands on two different stages over two days. Ticket information is available soon. For more information visit http://www.loudpark.com" STP also has an Oklahoma City date in September. Does anyone think this is a sign of a full tour or maybe just a few shows here and there? Quote
RogueSoul Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 "biggest and only" I'm pretty sure that makes it biggest by default Quote
Skipees Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 so it looks like september and october belong to STP. Quote
Numbrocker Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 I'm quite surprised by this date, but I'm still holding out hope for a Texas show. Pretty cool that after 20 years they can go back and headline this festival. Quote
FearOfTheDuck Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Wouldn't be at all surprised to see STP playing European festivals next summer, based on what they're doing at the moment. Quote

Papercutz Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Metal bands (?)... Behemoth, Trivium and Bring Me The Horizon are all very good bands. The lead singer of Bring Me The Horizon is also a huge fan of Chester and LP. Japan is in for a very good show here. Quote
Hybrid1988 Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Killer lineup! STP, King Diamond, Behemoth and the mighty Devin Townsend Project! Attendees are in for a real treat! Quote
Numbrocker Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 why? It just seemed random. I mean for STP, who's trying to get back on their feet after the whole mess with Scott to do one of their first big shows with Chester in Japan? It just seemed off. Like I didn't think STP had that big of an international presence. Quote
Skipees Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 (edited) Like I didn't think STP had that big of an international presence.they had three shows in Asia 2011, Indonesia, Singapore and Philippines. the japanese people familiar with the western culture more than these three. so Japan show with Chester, it's not something that surprising me. leftshoe18 Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 STP looks really out of place with the rest of those bands. Quote
