If I recall correctly, we actually have a snippet of their live recording session for that version in the making of. They definitely tried to record it "live", so I'm pretty positive that this version exists in some shape of form.

FYI And One/And Two has zero differences that we could tell from the final. It's just a literal track split. Not even a fade out and fade in.

 

Instead of that, add And One (Live Version in the Studio) or something - the version they played live surely exists on a demo CD somewhere.

It has to. It would be super strange for them to perform a version of a song that wasn't recorded in some shape or form beforehand (during that era). I would LOVE to get this version someday (if it exists).

The only way we can get those demos from the Xero to Hybrid Theory era is through Jeff. or Maybe someone on the Lplive team has some of Jeff's demos.

Anyway... I hope that one day those demos leak somewhere.

The chances of the band releasing something from that era are very hard , not impossible, but very hard.

It's a shame that we have to spend years and years asking for something that we know exists to simply not be released.

The idea of a box set is precisely to contain everything inside, unless we have a 30th anniversary box set of HT, I don't know what other time would be appropriate to hear the demos that were left out of HT20.

If we are getting MTM20 I think it's gonna be a very low profile release, I don't think they are gonna put out stuff with unreleased Chester vocals in a periodo of time where they will most likely be close to put out LP9 with Emily
