Trang
So, since ATS tour is over, I'd like to make a nice compilation of the best performances of each song played on this tour. Since I didn't hear much of the DSPs, can you guys help me out? What specific performance of each tour show you liked most? As for BEST, I'd say: energetic vocal performances, heavy vocals/instrumentals, small singing variations, instrumental awesomeness... NAME A SPECIFIC CITY/DATE! So let's say setlist B13: 01. The Reqiuem - Buenos Aires 10 02. Faint - MSG 11 03. Lying From You 04. Given Up - Jakarta 11 05. What I've Done 06. No More Sorrow - London 4th july 2011 07. From The Inside - Singapore 11 08. Jornada Del Muerto 09. Waiting For The End - Melbourne 13/12/10 10. Blackout - Salt Lake City / San Jose 11 11. Numb 12. The Radiance 13. Iridescent - Yokohama 2011 14. Fallout 15. The Catalyst 16. Shadow Of The Day 17. In The End 18. Bleed It Out - Frankfurt 10 (RME + BITS) [Encore] 19. Empty Spaces - Tel Aviv / Madrid 10 20. When They Come For Me - Tel Aviv / Madrid 10 21. Papercut 22. Crawling 23. New Divide - Moscow 11 24. One Step Closer - Tel Aviv 10 And the songs left behind (please point me which are missing): 01. Wretches and Kings - Atlanta 11 02. The Messenger - Buenos Aires 10 03. Burning In the Skies 04. Leave Out All the Rest 05. Breaking The Habit 06. A Place For My Head (played once) 07. Cure for the Itch 08. Red Square Intro - Moscow 11 I most certainly am missing a few songs... So, please name your favorites! Legend
The best part of the ATS tour was when they played Meteora songs. TRUTH. Or when Blackout debuted. Trang
I agree... But I meant specific dates for a song, like.. Best BITS performance was on Dallas, 17/02/11... So I can compile these best performances into one epic show. Dave-Stone55
Messenger and Requirem- Buenos Aires 2010, they were still doing requirem live and I love that. If you don't include APFMH then definitely do the BIO / APFMH mashup from madrid 2010, or do BIO / RME, also When They Come For me Madrid 2010, epic show. sublimeric
My favorite thing from the ATS tour was how "Burning in the Skies" progressed, starting as part of APFMH, then on it's own, and eventually turning into a great performance by the end of the tour. I love how Chester & Mike harmonized on the verses towards the end. I hope they keep the song in the setlists, but I doubt it since it's pretty boring live. Agreed, one of my fav live songs on the tour. Now we just need to hear Robot Boy! Geki
The best two Blackout performances are Salt Lake City and San Jose from the 2011 winter US tour. Trust me. Geki
The best OSC from the ATS tour is from Tel Aviv. By FAR the heaviest OSC I have ever heard in my life. I'll look for the indicated ones and hope you guys can help me on the other ones (too many missing). Was CftI played? LoL @Geki: bring me heavies! BIO I'll go with the RME/BITS version, and I don't want the Energy Up version of Iridescent. BIO I'll go with the RME/BITS version, and I don't want the Energy Up version of Iridescent. Blackout from Salt Lake City, Utah 2011 is the heaviest performance of the song IMO. One Step Closer from Tel Aviv 2010 is the heaviest performance of the song from the ATS touring cycle IMO. I think the breakdown on Given Up from Jakarta 2011 is really heavy too, he almost held the full scream. Faint from MSG 2011 is awesome IMO, and I love Wretches from Atlanta 2011. stl22
Well I didn't really want to get into this because I know I'm biased, but if no one else will make a suggestion for The Catalyst, I thought it sounded good at the Kansas City show while I was there. I'm not comparing it to very many shows, but if no one else has a better suggestion I'd say Kansas City. Edit: 100th Post! lgr
holy hell - that outro is awesome! for Iridescent - i was pretty impressed by Yokohama 2011 for Mike yelling out in Japanese over the bridge (spine-tinglinglydingly), and the verse harmonies were pulled off pretty nicely too. but I haven't listened to alot of the other versions EDIT: yeah I'm listening to it now - it's a real good performance. go for yokohama... blackout
In my opinion, Wating for the End is the best from Melbourne in 13th December 2010. This perfonmance have a big energy. lgr
to be fair, "Empty Spaces" and "Fallout" could go with their respective following songs in the setlist. I'm sure that these two aren't particularly performance-driven since it's just speaking into a megaphone/mike singing a bit...
